Red Rooster Shoreditch
Red Rooster Shoreditch celebrates the roots of American cuisine, channeling Southern soul food alongside the diverse culinary traditions of New York and Marcus's Northern European upbringing. Staying true to its Harlem roots, the London Red Rooster outpost features many of the same dishes as the original - fried yard bird, devilled eggs, cornbread with honey butter - along with some new ones, created especially for London.

Nice food good vibes enjoyed by all who came!
Love the brunch for the show but the food was just okay. Lovely cocktails and would return for the show and hold back from the food.
Food was great! The service was beyond friendly and acommodating. The live gospel choir was a nice addition!
Food was delicious
Staff were helpful
The place was fantastic and the singer was amazing
Great place with a cool vibe and good food. A bit noisy if it happens to be a live band performing.
It was a great place to celebrate family occasion. service excellent , food good, ambiance warm, friendly and relaxed. Having eaten in Red Rooster Harlem we were not disappointed. Maybe more mobile singers as in Harlem rather than static?
Me an my daughter’s first trio to London. Staying at the Curtain for a few days. Since we are from Sweden it was an absolute must to book one night at the Red Rooster, an overall ok experience with one exception and that was unforrunately the food, which had a lot left to live up to.
Our food was delicious, and the Sunday Gospel Choir were amazing and really were the highlight. Our only issue was quite mediocre service - we had to keep flagging down staff to order, as our own waiter was clearly too busy with other tables to be attentive. Drinks took a long time to arrive, the waiter couldn't remember who had ordered what. Generally he seemed flustered, and didn't particularly make the afternoon enjoyable for our group. I'm sure he's very overworked and busy, so perhaps the restaurant was understaffed that day. Nothing went wrong or was particularly awful, but ultimately, for a restaurant of this price point (our lunch was not cheap, we spent about £60 a head) you expect the overall service and atmosphere to be better.
While I am glad I tried it, the experience was underwhelming. I was hoping for proper gospel, not a DJ with a choir singing 90s house classics. They have great energy but I also didn't realise we'd be stuck in the corner unable to see them. Food was alright but it's a sanitized version of south American soul food
Great place and strongly recommend the Sunday brunch with the House Gospel Choir
The atmosphere and environment were fantastic as was the exhilarating entertainment. I would recommend for these reasons alone.
I was disappointed by the poor service and lack of engagement from greeting and waiting staff.
The food was average and very salty. Better description on the menu would help to explain dishes and salt can be a dietary/nutritional choice rather than purely to season so therefore should be optional.
I can not compliment the talent of entertainment enough. Truly a great experience if it were not for the food and serving staff.
Tables for 8 and above at the back of the room only. We were there to see the gospel choir and couldn’t see from where we were sat. They should mention this on the website. Choir were amazing however. The service was slow but food delicious
Great experience/ gospel choir absolute highlight! You just had to join in.... left smiling!
Food and service very good
What a great way to celebrate my birthday. We were really well looked after. Always checked up on and drinks topped up! There were 8 of us so we chose the three sharing platters which was plenty. Fried chicken came with a sparkler which was loads of fun. The obama short ribs; i'm not sure how brussel sprouts, gnocchi and short ribs work...but WOW. Thank you for such a fun night!
Great time. Great music. Went for a birthday and had fun.
Great atmosphere, live band were brilliant and so was the food
Really enjoyed the music as I went to the gospel brunch on a Sunday. The choir were amazing and the vibes were very good. I did find that there weren’t many options on the menu and it was quite pricey. Other than that I enjoyed the experience and the staff were lovely.
Overall experience was poor. The main issue was the customer service. We waited about 10 minutes to have our order taken, and we had noticed other tables also experiencing the same around us. We then had to wait 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive, despite asking the waitress, it then took her another 10 minutes to find out where they were. We asked for water in the meantime and that also didn't arrive, so we ate our food without a drink. The bill came to £77 for two of us, which included 1 starter to share, and then a main dish each. The price doesn't reflect the quality. I wouldn't return - very average.
Best chicken I've ever eaten. It was a shame to leave London behind me.
I have chosen this restaurant for my partner's birthday. The venue is really nice and the service provided was outstanding. Our waitress was Christyii and she was really attentive and helpful throughout the dinner. I loved the small surprise at the end for my partner, he felt special. Food and drinks really tasty. I will definitely go again :) Special thanks to Christyii. Great customer service:)
It was amazing, the food and the cocktails, both !
We had a great time, the band playing live was amazing, and Christyill, the waitress, was very nice and helpful
The gospel choir were fantastic. All the staff there were so friendly and helpful and clearly love what they do. It made this a really different and memorable brunch. Thank you
A really good experience is the Sunday House Gospel Choir brunch. Great music, passionate musicians, super atmosphere, good food, good staff.
Being at the Gospel brunch was energizing inspiring and positive way to start our Sunday! The singers were lovely and the food was delicious and when everybody gets up and dance is together, it’s absolutely amazing. I recommend this to everyone!
This place has a wonderful atmosphere. Great soulful live music. Service was great and food ordered arrived promptly
Tasty food, good ambiance !
I love this place, atmosphere is amazing, the live bands and singers are always on point. The food is generally pretty good also. Service is great, all the staff really friendly and quick to respond.
Gospel brunch was terrific. Very welcoming for children. Excellent for a party. Staff were really friendly.
Fairly expensive but the experience was positive
The gospel band on a Sunday are nothing short of amazing. They play popular hits in the gospel style and loads of people were up dancing! However the food and particularly the service was a bit of a let down. We had 2 orders that were incorrect and both times we were made to feel like it was our fault (or the loud music was!!!). For this reason I would not return. However the band is worth seeing that I would recommend asking for a table further away so the noise is less and have low expectations for the service.
Great Sunday morning pickup. Would recommend the brunch heartily
Food and service was really good the band was brilliant highly recommended
Crystal, our waitress was fantastic! She was super attentive and friendly.
The food was disappointing and expensive for what we got. The gospel choir saved it from being a bad evening/brunch
Excellent way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Choir was amazing!
We had a great time at the Red Rooster. The lady who greeted us (she had dark hair, I didn't get her name) went out of her way to get us a table near to the choir. It was excellent. Thank you everybody for a very memorable birthday brunch. we will be back and will highly recommend the Red Rooster to our friends.
A fun and lively venue for a Sunday brunch. The house choir choir we’re we’re very engaging. Food was good although if you’re vegetarian you are very limited with options that satisfy a main meal. The background music was pretty loud even whilst the choir were not performing. We were sat right in front of the choir so obviously very loud and a couple of the kids in our party found it uncomfortable so would recommend if you are going with young kids, to take ear protectors for them. Or would be amazing if the venue had a couple of spare head sets for those customers who visit are unaware of the sound level.
We had the table booked for a morning slot so had to leave our table to accommodate for the afternoon booking. We were however offered seats in the bar upstairs.
The service attentive and accommodating, although disappointed that we were overcharged on card payment by £30 of which it appeared that the member of staff who took our card payments was aware of when one of our party approached her about it after. That put a slight negative feeling on the visit as otherwise the service up until then had been pretty good.
Amazing experience! The gospel choir is everything, so much energy. And the food a delight, i can wait to come back!
The best part of the night was the live performance. Was amazing!
Really great atmosphere with welcoming and attentive staff, the waiting staff in particular really made our evening. The food was tasty and served in a fun way (fireworks etc) which added to the whole experience too. Would certainly look to go for a special occasion in the future and would be great for a big group of friends.
Great music and friendly staff. Nice athmosphere!
