The Red Rose is an Italian restaurant that opened over 50 years ago in the heart of Brooklyn. It was started by Antonio Romano who came straight from Italy with nothing but a passion for cooking. Today, his son Santo runs the restaurant while the kitchen cooks up new Italian cuisine alongside some of Antonio's old recipes.
Some of the Red Rose's signature appetizers include stuffed artichoke, fried calamari, stuffed mozzarella ravioli and baked shrimp in a Grand Marnier glaze to name a few. The entrees are hearty and range from grilled options to classic pasta dishes such as Sicilian eggplant parmigiana, Tony's lasagna, rigatoni bolognese, rack of lamb and a grilled pork chop over broccoli rabe and topped with peppers and onions. Red Rose also have several red and white wine options imported straight from Italy.
