Great food and good service but not a place to linger so ideal pre or post theatre or where speed is of the essence.
Had a very enjoyable pre-theatre meal at RedFarm. We were very impressed with all of the food, particularly the spicy chilli beef and duck noodles. The service from our main waiter was very professional and friendly, he made us feel very comfortable. There were some waiting staff who were less engaging. Overall our experience was fabulous and would definitely recommend.
service was excellent, however the food was bit pricy.
Excellent tasting food but overpriced for what it is.
Pricey but delicious. Would definitely come again!
Best meal we have enjoyed in two years of living in London
Amazing food but absolutely awful service. Would go back for the food but they need new staff!
The restaurant is very simple but nice. The service is good but not top, as it is not expected to be. The food is amazing and some dishes are absolutely unbelievable. The chef is a real genius. We will be back for sure.
Soup dumplings were amazing! And everything came out so fast.
Do not book this restaurant for Brunch without calling them first (even though there is nowhere on this website that says to do so).
We arrived for a birthday brunch and were told we couldn't have it. Why let us book a table at that then? The confirmation email said the table was for the brunch. I was 'told off' for not having called because 'it says to do so online' and I checked all reservation confirmations and all information on this website and nowhere did it say this. It also didn't say anywhere what the timings are for the brunch.
Thankfully, the birthday boy didn't know we were going here in the first place, so whatever happened was a surprise. But I struggled to hide my disappointment which put a bit of a downer on things. And it was kind of obvious when I started googling other restaurants before we ordered drinks.... But a few days before Xmas things were understandably full.
The food is tasty and good, but expensive for what it is. Drinks very pricey (which is why I had booked the all you can drink brunch...)
Service is average. The staff are nice enough, but it was very easy for them to just ignore us - they quite often just stood chatting away while I was trying to get there attention. One lady also just reached across our table to pick up something (a menu left behind or an empty glass) while I was in the middle of grabbing some food and knocked it from my hand - she didn't say a word.
This would be good for a meal if you're not interested in value for money, or in getting what you're expecting when you walk through the door.
Otherwise - plenty of similar better value options very close-by.
In some ways I would be more than happy to go back - but this experience left a bitter taste.
Busy place, tables are benches, mainly a young clientele (We are over 60's) however very friendly ambience, good food and service, staff very helpful.. Recommended
The food taste is great, but very small portion so the price is high. The service not so good. My friends arrived first, apparently the stuff isn’t nice, doesn’t acknowledge him when they arrived, moreover squeezing three of us into the edge of a long table, claiming there was another huge party coming . So won’t give us a booth even after we made a reservation, when there is no group coming even after we finish the meal
With family but it’s not a family restaurant with kids even not for kids of 10 years old.
But it was ok not bad
Delicious food, helpful and friendly staff. Our only complaint was that the food came too fast. We had come out for the evening but they had us through in an hour. Really excellent quality food, interesting and unusual menu. A treat for the tastebuds!
Fab, lived up to expectation and more. Unsurprisingly it was packed on a Saturday afternoon but service was quick and each dish was excellent.
The food at RedFarm is too die for! Everything tasted so good! I’ll definitely be back again
Terrible service - unbelievably rude and so many dishes never arrived.
friendly, efficient, and best of all, very tasty!.
Great service and quality food, full of flavour. Matt was a great host and took great care of us
The spacial caviar and shrimp dumpling is amazing and the liver pate is excellent!
Mediocre food (it looks better than it tastes) and the waiters and waitresses were rather inattentive.
Really good food and cozy place for some contemporary Chinese!
We arrived 30 minutes early where we were greeted by someone other than the hostess. He happily sat us down right away. It did take the server about 10 minutes to ask us for our drink order. The Jasmine tea was superb. We ordered 5 things of which 1 was off the special menu. First up, the pokémon dumplings, these were mediocre at best. they weren’t hot and the fried sweet potato was soooo greasy. Next the chicken dumplings - the flavor was definitely there and there was like a pepper mushroom succotash accompanied the dumplings. Next we got the soup dumplings, these were OK. they came with a straw, i felt that was very gimmicky i also felt that there should have been more than 2 per order. Soup flavor was good, not great. Then we got the pastrami egg rolls, these were delicious but again overly oily from the fryer. Finally the scallop caviar dumpling - the scallop was cooked absolutely perfect, the dumpling was sub par in flavor, could barely taste the caviar. place was a disappointment in my opinion.
The menu is quite limited for those who do not eat meat, the dishes they do offer are good with interesting ingredient combinations.
Not sure I would recommend it as a chinese/asian restaurant to go to in London.
On a scale from 1-bao, it was bao-tiful.
The service was bao-tastic.
The food was bao-lucious.
It was good bao-lue for money.
We will be bao.
Bao you very much.
Bao for now.
Great food and service
been twice now, great food helpful staff, nice decor. I'll be back.
A modern Chinese restaurant with very good food. A fine dining with a good value for money
Great food. The starters are particularly good. Mains less so. They had also run out of a few things in a Saturday evening. Service was great. Overall fun, yummy evening.
Really good evening, sat in one of the booths, waiter attentive, food really tasty and presentation made us smile.
The food was incredible, service was great. Just has an amazing evening here.
The Xiao Long Bao and shrimp dumplings with basil leaves are delicious to begin with. But the standout dish for me was the jumbo prawns in XO sauce, if it’s available on the specials menu be sure to order a portion. Great service from attentive staff too.
Amazing lunch deal. Great Chinese food with a twist. the lunch menu offers the choice of 1-3 courses for 12-15.90 GBP and the portions are more then generous.
Love the menu selection. Lamb skewer was great, as well as the three chilli chicken. Cocktails were amazing too
The best thing about RedFarm was its inventive, fun food (check out the Pac-Man dumplings!) which made us smile as they landed on the table and were great for sharing between our party of four. The downside was the whole meal felt rushed and the dishes were served at such a rate of knots, our bill which was just shy of £150 felt rather steep after only an hour in the restaurant.
Really interesting and fun food. Service was good too!
I thought the restaurant was energetic and fun. Although, the food was tasty but quite commercial Chinese - hence I thought it was overpriced. Our waiter also made a strange comment to me and my friend. He said "he had noticed we hadn't been eating for a while and whether we were done". We hadn't even been at the restaurant for 40 minutes and we were already being pushed out the door. A bit weird.
So so so overpriced for the quality of the food, staff weren’t very polite - wouldn’t go again
Quite expensive for what it was. 2 vegetarian people cost over £90 and we only had one glass of wine between us. Service was slow and one server in particular was very inattentive and not interested. Would not go there again.
Although the food is interesting and reasonably good I felt I paid premium prices for style over substance. The atmosphere was very loud and the service was so fast that we almost felt as if we were rushed out and eating fast food. The starters and dim sum were fun and mostly tasty however the mains were overpriced and left a lot to be desired. Overall the experience wasn’t terrible but I wouldn’t be in a rush to go back. I have paid a lot less for an all round better experience in London.
