It was a family birthday and we had a wonderful time; great food and outstanding service. The set menu was good value for those who chose it and all the food was superb.
my friends and I had high expectikns for this bar as we were having some drinks for a friend’s birthday. The first drinks arrived with no issue and were delicious. However, the service was underwhelming, Vicky V took our orders and the second round we were left waiting for at least 30 mins. We had dinner reservations elsewhere and couldn’t wait any longer. I went up to the bar and told them to cancel the our drinks as the wait time was ridiculous and we were going to be late for dinner. There wasn’t even a sincere apology from our waitress and as aforementioned we were rather underwhelmed and disappointed with the service we had received.
The serving staff were excellent but the food was a real let down. My son's steak was fine but husband's one was tough and not easy to eat.
By the time we left the noise level was such that it was difficult to hold a conversation at the table.
Lovely Sunday lunch with plenty of options for all and gorgeous relaxed setting. Perfect for lunch or cocktails with friends
Was very nice, very trendy ambiance. Food was nice & service was good.
Restaurant table was booked for 8.30pm and got our food at 10pm. Food was nothing special and not worth the wait. Hotel is busy with tourists and doesnt try to cater for Londoners that may actually go back. I won’t be.
Everything about the Restaurant was good. The service was excellent and the food was good. The only issue was the bill which I think should be scrutinised more closely by staff before being given to customers. Had we not checked the bill carefully we would have been charged an extra £25.
Refuel doesn't really feel like a hotel restaurant, which is a good thing. Bright decor and good lighting make for a nice atmosphere - suitable for catching up. The bar was quite lively, and then the restaurant more laid back. Food was tasty, but I can't remember much about it, so can't have been outstanding. Perfectly fine tho.
Catch up with friends - relaxed atmosphere and fab staff with amazing food
Lovely restaurant with great ambience. We had a family meal and we all really enjoyed it
Really enjoyed my first experience here. Nice decor and relaxing and not too busy settings made for a nice contrast from the busy streets of Soho. The set menu was delicious and good value for menu. The starter and entrée was better than the desert
Good food and service at this trendy bolt hole. The food impressed all friends attending this meal. I will return.
Welcoming very vibrant venue with great decor. Food great, slightly expensive but not surprising really for such a central location in nice hotel. Good interesting menu. Would suit special occasions very well.
Very nice afternoon tea. The price is cheap compared to other hotels and the restaurant's interior is colourful and different to other hotels. The service was great and sandwiches/cakes were delicious.
Good food and not too cramped.
A friend and I meet for lunch once a month and have been delighted with the restaurants we have visited. We were joking that at some time we would find somewhere that we did not enjoy. We still haven't found that place! Refuel at the Soho Hotel was everything we have come to enjoy and in no way disappointed. The 3 course set lunch was delightful and very good value.
Great service. Good food. Comfortable atmosphere. Thank you.
Great dinner and wine. Service was excellent. I will back soon.
The food did not disappoint, the set menu is very well prepared and priced, rather than being a poor relation to the a la carte. The service was courteous and friendly.
Our only disappointment was the post meal espresso martini, which has been a benchmark and was lacking its usual depth of flavour.
We have dined at Brumus, a restaurant at the haymarket Hotel owned by the sane group, so whilst staying at the Soho Hotel we decided to give refuel a try.
The service was friendly and attentive, the bread was freshly baked and hot from the oven, and they will bring you as much as you want - which in my case is always too much, as I do love quality bread.
Our main meals were excellent, the only disappointment being that they had sold out of Pork. We will definitely return.
I am a regular diner at Refuel
This was my first afternoon tea, this did not disappoint. Beautiful selection of hand made sandwiches scones and exquisite treats. We were seated in one of the lounge areas, it would have suited s little light background music, otherwise a perfect way to spend an afternoon catching up with friends
Excellent service. Amazing actually. Nice place to sit and have a nice, quiet dinner.
Tucked away in the Soho Hotel, the decor is funky and the welcome warm. The restaurant is comfortable and the menu comprehensive. We were struck by the freshness and succulence of the chicken and tabouleh dish. Service was very professional yet relaxed. Good venue for a business lunch but equally suitable for a meal with friends.
Great sunday lunch. 3 courses for £30 very good value plus reasonably priced wine and champagne. Service was excellent and great location.
We arrived an hour early but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were really professional and friendly. We ordered from the set menu, which was fabulous. The staff delayed our main course arriving to give us extra time for chatting, which was much appreciated. Thoroughly recommend it.
What a find! Right in the heart of Soho and with the set menu prices, amazing value for money (although the wine was fairly pricey). Our waitress, Eleni, was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the gluten free options - offering to adapt some of the menu items for me. I was brought some delicious, warm gluten free bread prior to the meal too.
Lovely atmosphere, we were seated at a great table and the food was delicious! I’d definitely recommend 😀
A real find.. hidden in the soho hotel. A cosy and very efficient and well run restaurant. All the restaurant staff, on both shifts , were consistant in thier knowledge, warmth and helpfullness.. they certainly contributed to the whole dinning experience. The food was beautifully cooked.. Nice portions and kept simple to allow the food and ingredients to speak for themselves... a thoroughly relaxing afternoon burried in the heart of soho.. nice job and many thanks .chris G
Very nice celebratory evening meal at Refuel. Great service and food. Will be back!
We came for the set menu deal and the food and service were fabulous! I had the salt & pepper cuttlefish for a starter & crispy lamb belly for main. Both were delicious and incredibly good value
Absolutely faultless. They have a perfect balance between being attentive without over doing it. The staff are brilliant, the food is delicious & the location/feel of the place is wonderful. Would highly recommend & we’ll definitely be back again.
Menu interesting and tasty. Some portions far too small. The wine menu had variety with a good selection of fine wines but the general wines were overpriced.
Super evening, food fabulous, wine delicious, service faultless.
Sadly the food was very poor
.. instead of roast potatoes being fluffy inside and crispy outside they were just an oily soft mass.... the veg was so beyond al dente to be so hard it was inedible. The beef was grainy and stringy... Not good.
Such a lovely restaurant, the decor was gorgeous and the food sublime. All the staff were pleasant and attentive, our waiter was 1st class! Couldn’t find any fault and for a hot Saturday night it wasn’t overly busy.
I was there with a group of friends on a Friday night from 6:30pm The place has a great atmosphere, we started at the bar and had a couple of cocktails. The bar was lively but not too loud so you can have a conversation. We later moved into the restaurant area which was quitter. Two of us ordered 2 courses from the set-menu the other two ordered the fish and chips. The starters of cuttlefish was amazing, light and tasty, however we were both very disappointed with the lamb belly, most of the lamb was coated in breadcrumbs which was not stated on the menu, this made the lamb very dry and tough. The fish & chips were better although the triple cooked chips were a tad too crispy. Overall I would recommend the place for drinks.
Lovely setting tucked away in the heart of Soho; great ambiance and good food.
Really enjoyed the food here which was topped off by a very friendly and helpful set of staff. The set menu was good and the food was very well cooked and presented.
Went for a ladies evening in a party of 4, we had a wonderful evening. Ambience perfect, busy but quiet enough to have a conversation! A refreshing change from the rest of soho. Excellent service, attentive but not overly so. Good food and cocktails, would highly recommend. Thank you to the staff.
Nice afternoon tea - good selection of veggie and fish sandwiches - were easily able to accommodate any allergies or dislikes - and good cakes. A pleasant way to spend an afternoon and with 25% off was good value
Fab restaurant visited for brunch with my niece before seeing musical at the paladiumn theatre food was lovely and extra treat - michael buble was also having brunch 🎤 👍 have enjoyed afternoon tea at this restaurant before so knew it was lovely 👍
