Second time I have been here and whilst bustier than the first the meal was unrushed with good service. Ordering the set menu with Bellini's is remarkably good value making this a much better experience than a run of the mill restaurant.
Would recommend and will be going back for a third visit.
We were pleasantly surprised. On arrival we were worried that the noise from the bar would be a distraction but we were seated far enough away that it was not a problem. The service was truly excellent and food delicious without scrimping on quantity. Also the tables were well spaced to allow for privacy. The decor was colourful in an exotic and uplifting way. Our waiter was attentive but at the same time discrete which is the mark of great service. I left my scarf behind and a member of staff rushed out with it before I had noticed it missing. Would highly recommend.
The team at Refuel were attentive and excelled in expectations. The food was truly delicious. The little touches made the evening even better, including the candle and birthday dessert plate! Will definitely recommend and will be returning!
Really nice and well cooked simple restaurant food, we ordered from the set menu which was perfectly nice
Service was excellent, attentive without being obtrusive
The place has a buzz to it with a young hip crowd at the bar
"A very good meal at a very fair price right in the middle of soho"
Any formidable hotel I have been to provides outstanding food, service and attention to detail.
Overpriced average food with service to match. Wine prices high £42 pp for burgers and wine was not what we were expecting - v disappointing. A lot to pay for a good atmosphere!
Great food. Note sure about the price and value ratio but lovely area and atmosphere.
Good food, generous portions and well presented. Used for a birthday pre theatre meal and the atmosphere was quite buzzy. A fruit and chocolate plate was a nice touch for the birthday girl!
Buzzing bar with access to tables for diners. Food choice good although overall bill was overpriced for what we had. Noise level high on a Friday night.
We booked for the G and Tea afternoon tea. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were very good, fresh and tasty. There was a good selection of teas and an interesting gin cocktail so all were happy and well catered for. We definitively recommend this for a nice afternoon tea.
Pricy but beautiful food and impeccable service. The cocktail bar is great too.
Refuel is one of my favourite places for lunch with friends or a pre-theatre supper because the service is excellent, it has a lovely relaxed ambience, and the set menu is incredibly good value. Unfortunately, on my visit for lunch last Thursday, the food wasn't the normal high standard. The flavour combinations were just strange and not enjoyable, particularly the chicken schnitzel with pickled vegetables. I do hope this was just a fluke and that on my next visit the food will be as tasty as usual.
Food was average at best and service borderline rude. Will not come back.
Lovely food, but hideously slow service. We were there for two hours and had to skip a bit of our set menu because we had to leave. They were perfectly nice, but it just wasn’t good enough. It was Valentine’s Day, so maybe try on a quieter night.
The staff were very attentive and quick to respond to our needs. The food was very well presented, plentiful, cooked properly and interesting. Wine/alcohol prices are a little over the top but I guess that's expected in London. We would return for another special occasion but it is cost-prohibitive to return as frequently as I would like.
A very nice restaurant, in a very nice hotel, was fairly busy, but service didn't suffer
Enjoyable evening, great food/wine. Excellent service would recommend.
Lunch with business colleagues; we ate from the set menu because it looked so good and we weren't disappointed. Generous portions but clean plates!
Very nice restaurant in a very handy location with lovely staff. Food and wine was more than adequate but only for the price paid - 2 ish courses and wine at £70+ / head. That said I would happily visit again
A friend and I went for the a pre theatre set menu. Food was great and service was lovely. The bar looked fun, so we will definitely be going back.
Difficult to fault. Cosy environment and unhurried. Would recommend and will visit again.
Great staff and a lovely dining area. Food very tasty. Thanks for contributing to a super date night evening.
Great for small groups. Elena was attentive, courteous and welcoming. She understood we were former school mates getting together after 35 years and she helped make it special. Thank you.
Great food and service as usual
Simply amazing! We enjoyed our lovely afternoon tea of the highest quality here! The cocktails were great too! We spent 3 hours in the restaurant and the environment was very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place for a friends get together!
Amazing food and staff. James particularly stood out for us as a group, very attentive and knew his stuff. Great place, I shall return.
We had just had afternoon tea at the four seasons and if you are comparing the two, this one comes no where close... Basically, you get what you pay for here. Nothing special.
Central setting, good atmosphere, relaxed, great service and attention to detail without being obtrusive, sensibly spaced seating - possible to have a conversation although we were having a pre-theatre meal so probably gets livelier later. Food excellent - fresh, well cooked and sensible helpings. Good value for money overall.
One small gripe - lighting rather too intimate for reading a menu.
Otherwise, would definitely recommend and we'll be back!
Everything was lovely and the service excellent. Food was very nice and the portions a good size. The hotel decor is lovely too.
The restaurant provided an anniversary desert on the house which was a nice touch
Outstanding service to match the terrific food. The set menu was really good value.
Great staff, very available. We had an amazing time
This is a favourite place of mine. We went for a business meeting this week and it went really well.
The atmosphere is very elegant and sophisticated, service is spot on and to me that's a great way to host potential clients.
I love and recommend it, by all means.
Only wish they had more versatility with the bar food bites, that's something that comes to mind, casually.
It was my 3rd time in Refuel and I'll be returning for sure. Service spot on and the food is delicious
This place was fantastic. The service was awesome, and we were able to pick our table as it was a less busy night. The good was great. Best of all was the atmosphere. It was incredible!
Interesting menu, good food (the ribs were so delicious), good service.
Savoury and scones were good, desert was not as good as the food.
Nobody has eaten the desert on all of the table. They should really change the desert menu
Delicious and cozy, ideal for a special dinner
This was the third time I went to refuel, and I brought my family visiting from afar. We were a Party of 7. The children’s meal is good, and they provide an amazing packet of colouring supplies. The service this time was terrible. Our waitress got 4 out of 7 orders wrong! And these were straightforward orders, only exception requested was no cheese and no pulled pork on the burger - which they got wrong TWICE. It was difficult to get their attention. Ordinarily I think I’d refuel as good value for money yet... The cost of water alone came to £50, which is ridiculous. They comp’d us one meal as an apology.
