A simple pre-theatre dinner with friends. What we had which was one main course was very nice and we enjoyed the ambience. We were well looked after and we enjoyed the experience, though it was a little more expensive than I was expecting.

A very good pre-theatre option for dining - good value and satisfying. The only reason I have not given a full FIVE stars on all counts is that the food was not hot enough. However the staff were delightful, replaced the french fries without any issue and removed this item from the bill.

Breakfast at the Soho Hotel part of Kit Kemps empire. The restaurant was very quiet during our visit with few hotel guests in evidence though a few walk ins like us. Breakfast was okay with no complaints about the food and the lack of guests meant social distancing was easy. My guest had the full English which he enjoyed though the sausages lacked taste. My kippers were fine and the sides okay. Service was friendly and welcoming and we did not feel rushed. The damage - pricey compared to nearby competitors we have been to for breakfast - example 2 x toast £10 and sides £5 each. £76 for 2 including service.

We returned to The Soho Hotel with excitement but were disappointed with the quality of the food. This was such a shame as the staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. We had some drinks in the bar area which was lively and buzzing. we then transferred to the dining room which was cold and very quiet. Our food was average at best and not cheap, which probably explains why the dining room was so empty. As an example, the chocolate mousse was grainy and lacked a real chocolate hit. The staff continued to provide us with excellent service but it was just a real shame that the food was not up to standard. With so many places to eat within a stone's throw if here, it is difficult to see why we would return for anything other than a drink.

I really wanted to like Refuel - it's set down a side steeet away from the hustle and bustle of Soho, and feels really warm and cosy. Unfortunately the food was disappointing - flavourless cod cheeks and mediocre beef rib. Even the bread was relatively tasteless. It felt like nothing had been seasoned properly.

It might be the time of year with the usual chefs unavailable, so I will give it another shot away from the festive season.

This was our first time back to Refuel since the pandemic as we couldn’t travel before this. Prior to the pandemic we would come here for dinner at least once every trip to London, which was at least 4 times a year, sometimes more. We were very excited to go back as the food had always been excellent and the staff so lovely and attentive.

Unfortunately we were bitterly disappointed with the whole experience. The food was very poor, cold chicken and chips that looked and tasted like they came from a chipper. The staff were not as friendly as they used to be and once they took our order and delivered our food, they never checked up to see if it was okay or if we needed anything. The fact that we were the only guests in the restaurant should have been a sign that things were not as they were.

The prices increased a lot but the standard of the food decreased tremendously. Overall a very expensive, disappointing meal for us on our first night in London in over two years. Needless to say we will not be back and now need to find a new favourite restaurant in London.

This is our second visit for Christmas lunch in 3 years. The restaurant is delightfully decorated with a colourful motif that lifts your mood ! On arrival, a pleasant greeting, and although maybe 30 minutes early, seated at a comfortable roomy corner seat immediately.
Service was attentive and genuinely welcoming, without any sense of over bearing.
The food, delicious, from the delightful selection of canapes, through the venison carpaccio and crab and prawn salad, through to a delicious beautifully garnished roast turkey, individual Christmas puddings and finally eclectic cheese board !
Our 3 hours flew by !
A delight !

We did afternoon tea (my daughter and I). The service was poor, the staff was unwelcoming, we waited forever on the bill, and we’re checked in on once in the two hours we sat there. The food left a lot to be desired for 85 pounds it cost. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

We had a girls Christmas night out here. Service was ok, if anything a bit annoying as we had ordered a bottle of rose champagne to start our evening and even before we were half way thru our champagne we were asked three times if they could pour our wine. The food was quite nice but pretty average and not very exicting for a hotel and restaurant of this calibre. Prices were steep too. Shame as the venue is lovely and the staff were good apart from the wine issue.

Well, we only had drinks and cashews, so I can't comment on the food (the cashews were lovely, but still, not a comprehensive representation), but the cocktails, service and ambiance were phenomenal. I have been to this location a few times, Mainly for drinks and meetings over them, but it's a great hidden gem in Soho, and the times I've been there, not too crowded at all… just enough people to make it not feel weird, but not so many as to make it noisy or grating. Just perfect. My guest and I had a wonderful evening at this bar and I hope they get all the business without also blowing up my spot, as it has a really nice amount of clientele now… also very clean toilets, which is the sign of all good things.

It was my third visit to the restaurant because the staff, food and service are incredible.
It was a spacious area we sat in and it was very smart but informal.
The occasion was a family pre Christmas afternoon tea. I will definitely be returning again.

Great tasting food, good flavours, good portions, friendly staff, nice ambiance. The only thing that lets it down are the eye watering prices. The food is great but it's not worth the crazy prices charged.

Good, practical pre-theatre restaurant with good food although very expensive for what it delivers. The service was very attentive and exceeded expectations compared to the rest of the experience. The ambiance was quite loud and clattering and somewhat cafeteria like. Good for a quick bite and dash. Wouldn’t be a good for a more intimate dining experience.

Lovely food at great value, with the set dinner menu. It was a Monday so understandably quite quiet but that was fine as the restaurant has a nice atmosphere anyway. The waiter was great, really accommodating and had good rapport with our table. I'd definitely recommend for a celebration or a treat.
