Refuel Restaurant at The Soho Hotel
Salmon and Smoked Haddock Fish Cake, Tartare Hollandaise, Sorrel and Watercress Salad
Chicken and Bacon Pie with Morels and Leeks, Mashed Potato
A superb spot for lunch. Have to thank lockdown for bringing me here. Will definitely be returning. Food excellent, staff friendly and attentive.
This restaurant really could not be doing more to make 'alfresco' dining a great experiene. Cosy, pretty under cover terrace with blankets and heaters, they have thought of everything. Food was great and service lovely. Thank you for a great time.
I cancelled an outdoor reservation elsewhere in favour of Refuel as it was due to rain and I loved that the Refuel terrace was covered. Due to current covid guidelines it felt like the perfect place to visit for those not keen on eating outside as it was well equipped with heaters and properly sheltered.
We were so disappointed on arrival to see the building work happening just next to us, it was so loud and completely ruined the ambience. We weren't warned of this prior to booking and there was no escaping it as we were essentially dining in the valet section. We were disappointed as we had just dined at the Ham Yard the day before and were so impressed by the atmosphere there so we thought this would be perfect.
The food was delicious and service was great as usual however it didn't make up for the noisy atmosphere as it ruined a birthday lunch!
Overall I am disappointed.
What a great find. Service from the staff was fabulous. Lovely table not feeling encroached upon, just by a heater. Fabulous food, short menu but enough choice. Would definitely recommend and revisit.
Lovely location in quiet courtyard and very warmly heated. Service friendly and food generous and very fresh. Would highly recommend and intend to visit again. Known of hotel for ages but first ever visit, glad we did.
Girlfriends birthday. Was cosy with good space between the tables - after walking through crowding dining central was a relief.
Excellent experience! Service and ambience was amazing, food delicious
Lovely food, very attentive, had a wonderful time in a beautiful venue.
A great example of practical improvisation in Covid times. The space was protected but open and heaters were more than adequate. The decoration to create a great ambient environment was very tastefully done. Staff were really helpful and friendly and food delicious. Thank you Refuel
Nice terrace and good cocktails. Service was really good too. Food was mixed. Had to send back the cod for being massively over salted. Dessert was disappointing - chocolate mousse was like jelly and far too much chilli on the spiced pineapple.
Birthday dinner, which I had told the restaurant. But it wasn’t acknowledged, whereas other tables were.
Overpriced for what we had.
This was an excellent find. Just off Dean Street and down the road from Compton street (which was absolutely jam packed and noisy - not very inviting to be honest). The tables were well spaced, and under a canopy, with heaters dotted around. Food was lovely and well portioned. The smoked salmon was a bit expensive for a starter but it was a huge plate (you could share!) and delicious. The asparagus and crispy egg was lovely too. Main courses were very good. Desserts were also lovely, and had a twist to make them a bit different. Staff were wonderful. It was a very comfortable couple of hours. Would definitely book again!
First lunch since lockdown rules allowed. Great food and friendly staff. Next door was a building site which wasn’t the fault of the hotel, but a bit distracting. All in all, however, had a really nice meal.
Great service and food and was lovely and warm outside with the heaters!
Lovely venue, nice food and good service. Nice outdoor seating area with good heaters.
Very good covid lockdown meal with colleague.
Great food. Great cocktails. Lots of heaters and undercover. Excellent service too
A lovely ambience and delicious food. A bonus is the terrace is covered and the blankets and heaters
Despite the current business of Soho, the way they've done the outside seating at The Soho Hotel feels like a buzzy, but comparatively calm oasis. We had a wonderful birthday dinner - the food really good, and the staff brilliantly attentive. Would thoroughly recommend.
Great service, not rushed, good menu and nice wine list too, catered for a wide variety of dietary requirements but service was the highlight. Thanks for a lovely time and being so accommodating.
We had a lovely time at our first meal out since lockdown.
Very friendly staff and fabulous food
We didnt get seated under a heater but then asked and staff did the best they could do and got us under a heat lamp for an hour which was great. Service, food and wine all great just a bit overpriced for what it is.
As always this did not disappoint, the staff were wonderful, the food amazing, the layout of the terrace was comfortable, and felt very safe. As usual great food lovely fresh dishes, only sad had no room for a delicious dessert
Thank you for making us so welcome .. we'll be back !
Delicious food and excellent heaters that mean you don’t need to wear a coat outside even in April at night!
Excellent lunch, on the road back to normality, thank you
Everything was lovely but look at the wind direction before you book. It was Arctic on an East wind.
Lunch ruined by noisy building site right by the trrrace
Disappointing meal - very salty - and not great value for money - after previously unbeatable experiences as Ham Yard and other hotels in the chain. First meal out after lockdown 3 and won't be returning.
Beautiful setting , classic pan-European cuisine ( portions more generous than expected !), great vibe
Great ambience. Dishes are quite expensive for what they were but guess it’s central so they are paying high overheads. Good service and great drinks.
The food was just so delicious and tasty. Great portion sizes also. The service was amazing also. All round a great experience.
Everything was excellent apart from the DRILLING. The SPARKS the SMELL & the DUST from à very close building sight.
Why on earth don’t the hotel have a desk with the building company. No noise between 1200 & 14:00?????
I SHOULD HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED OF THIS WHEN BOOKING
The situation was addressed by me not paying for our meal. It was the least they could do.
Food & service v v good but I was stressed & annoyed & deafened throughout most of the meal. It was a special occasion lunch. (Aren’t they all at the moment) totally ruined.
Lovely setting, great ambience and delicious food.
lovely place, very friendly staff the and the afternoon tea was very tasty. That said, i specifically asked the restaurant that it was a special birthday occasion and the request was confirmed 3 times before the reservation, but there was absolutely nothing that suggested that we were celebrating a birthday. That was a tad disappointing
Service was excellent, really enjoyed our food and had a great time
Fantastic set up on the terrace, wonderful and welcoming service. A brilliant evening with great cocktails and nice and cosy under the heaters. Perfect!
It’s a tad difficult to judge the restaurant as we were sitting in what was essentially the car port / drop off - as we emerge from lockdown
The staff were super attentive and the food was ok - nothing memorable & I wouldn’t rush back
But nothing wrong either
Really lovely experience and fantastic food. We enjoyed our lunch. Thanks!
Good to see the level of service still as high as always and the food was amazing.
The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff attentive but there was a 45 minute wait between our starter and main which when you only have 2 hours is quite an issue. However, the food when it arrived was delicious.
Impeccable as always
