Re:Public was nothing special. We made reservations but didn’t need them. The food was pretty mediocre although everything was edible and served with a smile. We started with the tuna and Brussels sprouts which were good and ended up as the highlight of our dinner. Our meals (pork tenderloin, risotto, burgers) were disappointing. The pork wasn’t very interesting — the cut of meat was enjoyable but the rest of the dish lacked intrigue. The risotto was tasty, but the balsamic finish was far too sweet and was heavy-handed. We ate to avoid the balsamic. Our 2 burgers were not memorable except that medium rare means “pretty well done”, which is apparently the same as medium. The fries helped distract from the burger disappointment . We opted out of dessert to try our luck elsewhere.
Servers were kind and welcoming. Because it was slow in the restaurant, we had an over abundance of server visits to the table — well intentioned, but annoying.
We don’t have any intention to return. There was nothing directly bad about the experience but with so many great places to eat in Seattle, Re:public doesn’t compare.
The food was excellent - just a bit noisy for my liking but I would recommended it to friends!
It was too noisy for my taste. Food was good, but choices weren't many .
Totally spectacular food and tasty cocktails. The service was just so-so - the servers didn't quite seem prepared for the brunch hour and didn't check in on us, refill waters etc, but the food came out perfectly and fast. Next time we'll take advantage of the $15 bottles of Cava!
Good food & service!
“Cheese plate” was really a fruit plate. Fruit was fresh and tasty, but the berries didn’t pair well with the cheese. Cheese was good, but the portion was VERY small. When we asked what kind of cheese it was when dropped off, she described it as “a cow, a sheep, and a goat...I think”
The service is consistently wonderful. Very good servers. The food is always wonderful!
The website made it look like a totally different vibe. I wasn't expecting the TV's with sports games and a bar area. The food and service were still good.
Nothing about it blew me away, but it wasn't bad either.
Great service and good food. I've gone here for a business lunch and for dinner. Very professional and engaging staff.
Went for a date night service and food was great. Drinks were good and strong and the desert was amazing we had the pear apple cobbler!
The staff was very responsive and attentive and the food was delicious.
Went for brunch.
Great food, great service.
I had a great birthday lunch. The waiter was great as he noticed a mistake and fixed it right away.
My meal was tasty and exactly what I was craving.
Great food. The Brussel sprouts and filet bites were delicious appetizers. Great beet salad. Clams were tasty. The duck confit delicious. On and on. My friends had never been and are local. They loved it and look forward to returning. Great service and drinks too.
Great spot for a Sunday night. I have been during the week and you cannot get a table, but on a Sunday evening it was quiet and private and almost like having the place to ourselves. I had the duck it was amazing. The blackened ahi app was perfect just the right balance of sweet and salty. My husband had the boar and it melted in his mouth. The bread pudding could have been split 3 ways but other than that no complaints.
Very, very loud . Conversation was difficult. Good average. Cocktail good to
Celebrating a well-deserved success at my husband's job.
The food was AMAZING! The brussel sprout starter was perfect and the pork tenderloin entrée was so flavorful. The restaurant was very cool looking but pretty loud. The cocktails were fantastic too.
We were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. Nice job...we'll be back.
Tasty food, sat quickly and served quickly. I had the soup of the day and veggie sandwich - both delicious. Will be back!
It was great. Went for brunch. Had a mimosa and coffee.
Shambolic reservation process, with multiple cancellations, from the restaurant. Even when there the availability of a table took some time.
However, the food redeemed the evening and overall it was pleasant and successful. You MUST be OK with a LOT of noise and a trendy young crowd.
Except for the usual noise level, which on an empty day (Sunday) was reasonable, Re:public was good in all aspects. The food was imaginative and very nicely done, the wait staff was friendly and there when we needed them - but again it was pretty empty so no assurance if the place were packed, which I know it can be.
There was a pebble in my Bolognese and a hair in my friend's fries. Not sure how either got there, but no discounts given. Not a great experience overall. Would not recommend this place.
Great food and great service!!! Definitely a place to visit for appies, cocktail hour and dinner! Very cool, comfortable spot!
Must try Brioche apple bread pudding
We were really disappointed in the food. Thai chicken wings were pretty flavorless and the boar bolognese was underwhelming. Wouldn't return.
Hard walls and concrete floors help to keep the volume level high at all times, probably great for watching a foodball game on Sunday afternoon or Monday night. Not great for dinner with family as we did on Saturday night. Our service was fine, a bit slow where we had to flag down our waitress for ordering dinner and desert. The appetizers were also good, not great. My duck main dish too was just OK, not great. My daughter's steak was cooked to perfection, the best dish at the table. My bread pudding
Consistently great food! Love it.
Superb service. We were well taken care of by Joshua and appreciated his candor and attentiveness. Food was great. Was disappointed that all the duck was gone by the time we got there, but that's what happens when you put good food on the menu. Can be loud at times just by pure design, but when the crowd clears out a bit, it's a really nice atmosphere. Will definitely return.
The service was spectacular but the food was mediocre.
We had a great lunch - all around 5-star experience. Comfortable atmosphere, not too loud, really good food/lots of good menu options, and a GREAT server.
Always a solid lunch spot. Great food and service.
Great food in a casual atmosphere. Service was good for the most part. Try the wild boar pasta. Amazing. Not a place for a quiet conversation but definitely fun.
Food was good, waitress was nice but the service was slow. They seemed to forget about us
Terrific waitress and the duck confit with white beans and Brussels was fabulous as was the vegetarian risotto. Lovely bottle of wine.
Overall, it was a favorable experience. The service was top notch and the food was delicious.
Food quality was good (not great), but the prices were outrageous especially when you consider the small portions. I would call this place average value in Seattle if the cut their prices in half.
But the service was good.
Our first visit to Re:Public will probably be our last. The noise level was deafening and made it almost impossible to have conversation during dinner. The food was okay but nothing that would bring us back given the noise level. The service was outstanding.
