Overlooking the famous Savoy Hotel entrance, Restaurant 1890 provides the perfect ambience and an unforgettable dining experience.

Inspired by dishes first created by Georges Auguste Escoffier during his time at The Savoy Hotel in 1890, the Gordon Ramsay team have delivered a modern French tasting menu with European influence. With the finest ingredients sourced from all corners of the world and a vintage wine list to match, dining at Restaurant 1890 is an experience not to be missed.

Restaurant 1890 by Gordon Ramsay is open Tuesday to Saturday and serves a carte blanche tasting menu. We recommend allowing up to 3 hours to enjoy your experience with us. Online reservations are available for up to four guests, up to 3 months in advance.

    Amazing experience, food and service were both exceptional. I only gave 3 stars for value because you are not going there for value. You want value… go to KFC. It’s expensive. One of the best chefs in the world in one of the best hotels.

    Quite possibly the best meal I have ever had. The wine pairings were fantastic, but the desert/wine combination was inspired, taking the desert to another level altogether. Cannot say enough good things about the experience, a birthday my wife will remember for a long, long time.

    Overall AMAZING experience. We had the carte Blanche menu and so we did not know anything ahead of time. Everything came out absolutely delicious and the staff were very kind and knowledgeable. Would absolutely eat here again and definitely worth the price for a unique and upscale dining experience

    Beautiful restaurant and every single member of staff was exceptional but we expected something similar in dining to Restaurant Gordon Ramsay on Royal Hospital Road. It is at The Savoy after all and promised to represent Auguste Escoffier, however we felt that the tasting menu was a bit limited on this occasion, more like a ‘suggestion’ or an ‘offering’ and didn’t seem really established in terms of its impact. There were a couple of dishes that were not our taste (not the restaurants fault at all) but there were two more that just really seemed to have no impact, so that meant a total of 4 that ultimately we didn’t enjoy. It is a relatively new restaurant of course but for top dollar it was a risk in that sense we thought. I think we would revisit once it is more established but it would need some real accolades over some period of time for us to be convinced. Again, beautiful place though and staff perfect.

    I don't even know where to start this place is so amazing. It was a bucket list dinner and in the top 3 of my lifetime. 10/10. Staff are amazing. Just an unbelievable staff to customer ratio... you feel so special! Food was out of this world. It's not cheap - but one of the best experiences I've had in my life. Highly recommend.

    This restaurant exceeded expectations. The service was impeccable and all of the courses were fantasic. The courses were a unique twist on classic sea and land dishes.     Quintessential fine dining at its absolute best. My husband and I recently visited Restaurant 1890 by Gordon Ramsay on the first day of our honeymoon; and it was the highlight of our trip. The staff and overall experience set the standard for the rest of our stay in the UK - and one that other restaurants came close to, but did not exceed. We have talked about the food and the kindness of the staff everyday since we dined here. One highlight for me was being able to connect with the General Manager, Sarah Rhone, in a meaningful way. Sarah - and the entire staff - knew who we were and that we were there for our honeymoon, and we feel truly honored to be able to say we were able to meet everyone we did that evening. It was particularly meaningful to even be able to sample some ingredients sourced directly from Sarah's family farm. I have found that fine dining is often so fancy that it is void of real life... to the point of being almost misanthropic; however, this is not the case at all here. In fact, it is so far from it. I highly recommend doing the tasting menu exactly as the Chef has designed it, and accompany it with one of the wine pairings. I do not want to give too much away, as one of the best parts about the whole experience is a certain degree of surprise, but suffice it to say: they have curated something absolutely breathtaking. I used to scoff when people said food prepared in a restaurant could invoke such intense emotion to the point of making you cry, but I stand corrected... and that was just the canapé! To everyone at Restaurant 1890: thank you for making our honeymoon truly special. This was something we will never forget, and we hope to be able to come back again when we are in London.     Spectacular!!! Intimate with AMAZING service, wine and the most delicious and creative food. The Sommelier Emmanuel was the highlight to a wonderful night. We ordered 3 fabulous bottles and discussed wine all night. This was our 3rd Gordon Ramsay restaurant in 3 days and it was the best, but all 3 were great. The Sommelier was in charge of ordering the wines for the other 2 restaurants we dined at the previous 2 days and loved our selections that we ordered there as well. I can not wait to return.
