Dinner was delicious and the portions were huge. Excellent restaurant.
I ordered the 10oz wagyu ribeye steak. The wait staff said it was the eye of the steak, so when it came out it was not the eye of a ribeye it was a strip of beef not even a NY strip. I asked for the steak to be medium and it came out over cooked. There wasn't any salt or pepper on any of the tables. The steak didn't come with any sides you had to pay extra for the sides.
Excellent food and service. I would highly recommend!
Meal and service was excellent
Food was very good, but not quite great. Ambience was not good. Our table butted right up against another table with a low "wall" between us - which meant we were only a few feet away and it wasn't very private as we were right on top of the other table. Overall feel of the restaurant did not match the amount of the check.
Definitely not worth the money. Food is ok, atmosphere is nothing special. $200 for 2 people is a little too much for 1 appetizer, 2 drinks, 2 entrees and 1 dessert.
Our server Dave was awesome!
We live locally and this is new to the area. Despite having reservations, waited 30 minutes to get a seat out in the hall of the Hotel. No offer of a drink or apology. Finally sat down and server was great, he was clearly experienced and knew how to provide an experience. Unfortunately, the menu had a great selection but the kitchen let it down; the ahi tuna was dry and over cooked. (ordered medium rare). This is about the most expensive place in Hershey, but it is not a good value. Maybe it needs more time to mature. Other options exist such as Devon's that are not quite as expensive but offer higher-grade dishes (better value).
Service could have been better. More attentive especially since it was quiet, with few people in restaurant. Salad I chose was very small, not worth the price.
My cowboy ribeye looked like something I would get from Ponderosa steakhouse and it had little taste. My iceburg lettuce was brown at many sections of the head. The dinner bread was the best part of the meal. Service was a bit slow for what seemed to be a rather slow evening. People were sat next to us in our booth and the guy was very loud.
Service was not good. Steak wasn’t seasoned at all and salt/pepper weren’t at table. I would have asked waitress but it was once in a blue moon we actually saw her. For $150 for 2 dinners I wouldn’t say it was amazing.
One of the best dinners we’ve had in a long time! Everything was delicious, we had the cheese platter for an app, shared a wedge salad and the pork chop. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and was moist and delicious. Our server was OUTSTANDING.
The service is exceptional, and the food was very good.
Dave and Andrea were fabulous servers! Kind and knowledgeable.
Menu a tad different from previous.
Our dinner was great! My husband got a ribeye and I was able to get a vegan entree (chop salad and winter vegetable risotto.)
They also had great children’s meals- they had the classic options (chicken fingers, burger etc) however they also had steak, fish and salad options for kids which we loved!
Everything was fantastic!
We were disappointed that they were out of a lot of steak entrees at 7 pm on a Saturday night. Our server, Bri, was awesome! We would visit again to see her. AWESOME SERVICE!
Food was overcooked
Food took forever
Food was Cold
Staff hardly came back to check
Save your money....
Loved it! The Brussels Sprouts for an app were the best! We had the burgers and they were equally as good!!
Food was sensational!!! It is a cozy atmosphere excellent to share with someone special.
We had a wonderful evening!
Food was cold and steak was over cooked. The food quality and presentation was not even close to the price.
Overall the restaurant was good. One steak needed to be redone as it was not the correct temperature. Otherwise the food was good. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. We felt very rushed the whole time - like they were waiting to turn over our table. Our appetizers came out before our drinks! Our waiter also couldn’t open our bottle of wine - we had to help!! The manager was responsive tried to make up for it and gave us free dessert. Overall, it was not quite up to the Hershey standard.
Good overall. Different menu a bit after the rebranding and change in name, etc. Overall still very good but miss the pretzel bread sticks and mustard dip and miss them not having a side salad. However sides were much bigger than before the rebranding. Will continue to return here even with rebranding.
An overall great experience. Service was impeccable. As a chef, I am a hard person to please when it comes to eating a great meal at a restaurant. The filet Oscar style and mushroom blend melted in my mouth and left me craving more! I highly recommend your restaurant and will be a return customer when I am in town! Kudos to your chefs!
Our Filet Mignons were tough. The sides were very good as were the cocktails. The Molten Lava cake was dry and overdone. Our waiter really left much to be desired. He was forgetful and inattentive. We had been to this restaurant several times before the name change and were always pleased. Changing the name was a silly idea.
Hard to find if you don’t know it’s in Hershey Lodge and following GPS to the address... but it’s good.
We are hoping Revelry will bring back the Pretzel rolls served when establishment was the Forebay.
The setting was good and the room was clean. The appetizer was great and prompt. The service for the meal was terrible. The entrees were served 15 min apart. While the crab cakes were great, the TBone steak was very tough and had a lot of inedible pieces. Was disappointing for the price.
Very upscale, difficult with young children to enjoy upscale experience. steak was extremely under cooked but quick fix overall it was great even with the higher pricing.
Excellent upgrade and addition to Hershey
Fantastic service, the food was wonderful for a new restaurant opening! Highly recommend it!
Overly priced and not that great. Charcuterie board had 2 slices of salami and 2 pieces of prosciutto for 15 dollars. Horseradish Mac and cheese was disgusting.
Chicken wasn't bad but a rather small portion for 28 dollars. If I'm going to spend 100 dollars for my fiancee and I, I hope that it is better than something I can make home for 15 dollars.
Food was delicious and lovely atmosphere. Service was attentive, maybe a little too attentive as they gave me a dessert menu while I was still finishing my dinner! Overall great meal and I would go back.
Fool me twice...First off, this restaurant is a rebranding and was formerly the Forebay at Hershey Lodge. Any reviews prior to Jan 17 are of the old restaurant. They have tried to become a high-end “chop house” by their own decree in this new iteration. By happenstance I ended up here twice in one week; once for a family meal and then for business. Had the “wagyu” ribeye both times. Ordered medium rare both times. The first came out medium well. Took over ten minutes for server to return to check and realize it was overcooked. It was replaced. New steak was rare as expected, but much better than overcooked. Even on the repeat the server didn’t bother to stick around to see if it was cooked appropriately. Again, nearly ten minutes prior to check in. The repeat was fortunately delicious aside from the cold center. Decided to give their wagyu another try on repeat visit later in the week. After specifically mentioning the incident earlier in the week, the waitress did bother to ask me to cut into the steak. (No such attention to the other four steaks at the table.) Of course I didn’t have a steak knife and by the time I received one she was gone. Steak was better cooked, but still medium at best (maybe the plates are too hot or they sit under warmers too long?) and I’m fairly certain it was actually a filet. The cut looked totally different than the other two wagyu steaks that were served and had absolutely no marbling. Needless to say, we won’t feel compelled to return anytime soon. I think their chef and servers need to actually visit a high-end steak restaurant before they go all-in on trying to bill themselves as a premium “chop house” with pricing to rival Bern’s.
Great combination of excellent food and service in a great setting.
My wife and I are locals and long time fans of The Forebay and we were disasppointed to hear The Lodge was changing the format. We want to go on record saying the transformation was beyond expectation. The look changed a bit as did the menu, but it still felt comfortable like Forebay. Jim our Server was exceptional as always and our meals were very good. Expect to spend a bit more money since it is now a Chop House, but the menu carries many of The Forebay classics ansd you can still munch on a burger if that is your desire. Good job Hershey Lodge. We will be back to Revelry.
We were very excited to try this new Steak House and were completely disappointed. The steaks were cold, tough we didn’t eat any of them. We got the lobster tail it was good but also cold.
The service, wine and bread were amazing.
Hopefully they just need to get some of their kinks out since they were only open for 3 days
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Great food and great service.
We are locals, visiting the Forebay often. Food is always good and service excellent. My wife and I consider this a gem. Rumor has it The Forebay will be replaced. Sad news if true.
