Food was a bit oily. I ordered the beyond meat skillet with scrambled egg whites and cheddar cheese.
The server upon initial interaction didn’t seem super genuine. Was somewhat curt. However, after a bit of convo he warmed up.
Otherwise, was a good experience and I’d recommend it.
Excellent dinner and atmosphere! Everything was fresh and abundant. We are in love with this Brooklyn neighborhood gem.
There house flies everywhere which was gross.
Love that restaurant. It’s well decorated, service is great, attentive and friendly. I’ve been 3 times for brunch. Food is good. Bottomless mimosa very generous. It’s gay friendly. A great place.
Fries were so good!!
One of my favorite restaurants in my neighborhood.
Fantastic brunch spot! Really delicious food and very cute ambiance. The servers were really nice and it's right by Prospect Park in case you want to go for a stroll after mimosas!
Awesome place, great waitstaff and very reasonable priced entrees
Great place to grab a few drinks during the summer.
Rio Kitchen & Wine, is mister among my favorite weekend brunch places! If you are looking for a calm brunch experience with modern decor, this place is it!
Definitely perfect for a calm weekend catch up with friends in NYC!
The music was weird and clubby, but everything else was awesome!
A delightful afternoon dining experience. The food was tasty, if not remarkable, and the service was polite. The outdoor seating was nice as well.
Amazing bellinis, delicious food and excellent service
Went for Eater Brunch with family and it was lovely. Food good, service was attentive but not intrusive. Even had vegan options for me. I had the Beyond Sausage skillet with potatoes, peepers, mushrooms and broccoli. Very delish! Hubby and daughter had the Eggs Benedict with ham and roasted potatoes and our other guest had the Smoked Salmon Lox Sandwich on a croissant. Would highly recommend. Continuous mimosas didn’t hurt either. Very relaxing, leisurely brunch.
Food was average at this place.
Good atmosphere and decor.
Good spot for the cost. Food was tasty but unoriginal. Coffee was strong. Server was friendly and courteous but definitely understaffed.
Great atmosphere, tasty food, and affordable! Definitely going back.
We were looking for a place near Crown Heights and the Brooklyn Museum. Rio was ideally situated. They were very accommodating about our reservation, and we enjoyed the restaurant very much.
I was very happy that Rio was able to accommodate a table of 11 at 6:30pm on a Saturday for a friend's birthday celebration; it's difficult to find spots for large groups in this neighborhood. We were all a little confused about the number of cuisines offered on the menu, but everything was reasonably priced. Food was good, but not outstanding. The service was really good too considering the large group. Very happy with our experience. Plus, we got 10% off the bill for paying with cash which was a bonus.
Very quiet for a Saturday night. Only one girl doing the serving, bartending and hosting so things moved pretty slowly.
I was really disappointed in the food. The service was nice and so was the ambiance but the food was lackluster. I ordered a potato and mushroom dish and it was all potatoes with one mushroom. My friend had the scallops and they were undercooked. Both dishes had no flavor. Cool spot for a drink in your hood but not to dine.
Food was excellent. Amazing vibes. Can’t wait to go back!
Although we were seated very quickly there was only one wait staff to handle all of the tables. The restaurant was very cold and felt like i needed to put back on my jacket. Because of the one wait staff we waited a long time for our drinks and our food.
New find in the neighborhood - will definitely be back to try more of the menu and some of the cocktails. They have super cute art and if I'm being 100% honest, I will keep coming back until I'm seated at the angel wings table :)
Sat 3 people at a 2 person table even though we had a reservation. Had to send food back as the meat was raw! I've never sent food back to a kitchen before but this was inedible. Didn't even offer a drink for the fact that they gave me raw meat. Avoid!
I come here often. The waiter/bartender that’s normally there was not, the other bartender/waiter was alone. The drinks were not what they normally were but other then that the food was great, the music was on point!
really enjoyed the ambiance and decor. food and drinks were good as well.
Very good food; lovely presentation; prompt, friendly service.
We ended up here as a last minute substitute for somewhere else. From the reviews we had no idea what to expect. Turns out it was wildly pleasant. Not great but really good food, incredibly cozy setting with really nice decor. And server Constantin was top notch — constantly going the extra mile, endlessly nice and helpful. We loved it.
The food was somewhat mediocre and unimpressive, and the portions were small (for brunch). The server was very nice and trying his hardest but was completely alone handling the entire brunch crowd. There wasn’t even a runner. I felt so sorry for him. The ambiance was beautiful and the place has promise, but we were not that thrilled with the food.
Came here for brunch. Ordered the pancakes and a side of scrambled eggs, which came out as an omelet instead. Along with bottomless coffee and Mimosas. The pancake was kind of dry, even with the syrup. Perhaps I’ll try their French toast next time. The cafe was kinda quiet for a Sunday brunch. I guess they are still trying to build a following. The bottomless mimosas never stopped following. Even passed the allotted 1.5hrs. The waiter kept pouring so I kept drinking. However there was more orange juice then champagne. Super affordable. Great bang for your buck
Lovely, chill spot for a Sunday night. Good fries. The blueberry cake was terrific. And the drinks half price and generous. Wish it was in my neighborhood. I'd be there all the time!
Wait time for food was a lil long but it was delicious and Georgi was welcoming
Delicious breakfast and really nice coffee, great friendly service - uncrowded when we arrived right after they opened on a Saturday morning
The outside of Cafe Forte is not a good representation of the inside. The inside’s decor is pleasant and welcoming. Great coffee. Limited menu. Delicious Morning Omelette and Lox Croissant Sandwich.
Giorgi, the waiter was attentive and accommodating. Thanks Giorgi for making our first visit a positive one. My highly critical mom enjoyed her meal. 😊
First time there since they reopened. It was clean, service was good and the food very good. I had the Chicken Skillet and was very satisfied. I will be back.
Service was inconsistent and arguably racially bias... Cheap mimosas didn't make up for the treatment.
Although the waiter was extremely inattentive the food more than made up for it. We had guacamole toast, omelette and avocado crostini. All were delicious. Lots of healthy choices!
Absolutely fabulous service:-)
This restaurant had a strange menu. Some items were only available after 2 pm, even though the particular dining day was a holiday (and hence should have mimicked a weekend) and we were having brunch close to the 2 pm hour. I requested mustard for a sandwich and was told that the restaurant did not have any mustard. It was just a bizarre experience and the atmosphere was cold and pretentious.
