An amazing culinary treat with the best service in London.
Service and wine were good, the food only average. Restaurant was busy but not full. Would suggest the draw here is the wine from the family estate. Other better restaurants nearby
Wonderful service, food, ambiance and they made mine and my sister's birthday a very special occasion!
GREAT PLACE FOR LUNCH & DINNER, VERY COZY AND RELAXED ATMOSPHERE.
Very very good environment
The starter was good but the main was all right.
At the beginning they kept bugging us with water , 3 member staffs kept approaching so we decided to say yes and go ahead. They didn’t give the menu right when we got our table. They halfed our mains when I didn’t understand what they meant by sharing instead they half our pasta in one plate and the portion was small. seems like they forgot our fish later on while we ask them. The sea bass was dry and over cooked with burnt sides.. came late as well... I think this is a good Italian restaurant but they need to rethink how they treat their customers.. over all at the end the waitress donatella was sweet and apologise to us and resolve the problem. Sweet at the end but they need to think about treating customers right at the beginning with warmth and good service.
The service was awful here. The waitress was inhospitable and rude. The dessert fork was even threw in front of me. Definitely won’t come any more.
Nice ambiance though massive confusion about bringing the appetizers out and they forgot our friends meal so we sat there for 15 minutes waiting whilst our food became cold. Disappointing given the potential of the restaurant- not sure why the ordering was messed up.
Standards have slipped. Portions smaller. Didn’t screaming babies being breastfed at the table next to us!
I have been several times and I was disappointed in the marked deterioration in quality and presentation of food which had previously been excellent. My appetiser of burrita was awash with soggy tomato and limp lettuce and the main of John Dory tasted ok but nothing special and was presented in a very messy and unappetising paper wrapping. Very disappointing. Wines were perfect and service attentive and good
The food and service were below average, especially given the price.
it took nearly 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive and we only ordered prosecco.
It was our first visit and we were not disappointed . It looks trendy and rustic Italian at the same time. The menu suited us perfectly , sufficient choice and interest. Amazing wine list. e w The staff were efficient and friendly. Overall a most pleasurable experience. We will come again.
After just returning from Sardinia and still wanting some good Italian Cuisine we headed to Frescobaldi Restaurant... the truffle pasta was such a huge let down !! the wines were good enough but you will need to sift through the expensive imitations to get that real gem. (i won't quote mine as everyone's taste is so different)
One of my favourite restaurants in london - food, service and ambiance all great.
Thank you for the warm welcome and friendly and efficient service. The food and drink were out of this world. The setting was idyllic.
had dinner 2 nights earlier and went back. Just as delicious. The service, food, atmosphere, quantity, price . . .all very good.
Great food and ambiance
Fantastic. Wine, Food, Service, Atmosphere. Everything Perfect.
Great evening here! A lovely warm evening and the front of the restaurant was open - perfect. Delicious food and wine, welcoming helpful service and lively ambience. Can’t wait to go back!
The setting and the food/drink was brilliant at the restaurant however the service was far from what I was expecting at such a high-end restaurant. In such a competitive restaurant area such as Mayfair you would think that they would have the basics down to a tee but there were numerous instances where they lacked the simple things. Little things such as giving us menus straight away, taking our food order before our drinks, starters arriving before our drinks just to name a few. Apart from one waiter (Raz, who started his shift at the end of our meal), all the other staff lacked any sort of personality and didn't seem like they wanted to be there which put a downer on our night. I asked for the bill and it had service charge included so I got them to remove it as they definitely did not deserve it. As I said the food and setting was great but it was such a shame that the staff could not maintain the same levels as other parts of the meal, it definitely left a sour taste in our mouths.
Excellent dining experience as always
Beautiful place but slow service on this Sunday evening and rather bland dishes.
Honestly.. Truly amazing restaurant. There were some reviews that I read which made me have second thoughts but after my visit I must honestly say this is a great restaurant. Very nice and romantic but also can be a nice evening team dinner for work. The food was WOW just WOW. The Wine list is very attractive, and the service was very professional. I would highly recommend and we plan to visit again soon.
This was my third time in this restaurant and I highly recommended it to my boyfriend before taking him. Overall I was really disappointed with the table offered to us even though I booked it in advance. The food was terrible and not worth what I paid. I felt disappointed that it actually did not come anywhere near my recommendation. Probably won’t go again. The wine was the only good thing. Sorry
Rude staff who didn’t ask and cleared plates before we even finished eating. We were seated at 6:30pm and had the table back at 9, waiters seemed in a rush to start clearing everything at 7:25pm. Foodwise, chips were served cold and bland. I’ve had better chips at even McDonalds. They seemed merely a pack of chips from a frozen section in a cheap superstore. Desert was served with a jar of smarties. Not sure what that was...
Overall I think the food was overpriced for what it was. I was fooled by the high ratings here.
Terrible restaurant. Perhaps the worst meal out I have had in London in a decade. Stale bread. Tasteless refrigerator-temperature burrata. Pasta that was over cooked and not fully drained. A mushroom sauce without a single mushroom. Bizzare decor with a fake plastic vine on the ceiling. Avoid at all costs.
My husband and I traveled to London from the US for a week and dined at several restaurants suggested to us . Found your restaurant myself on Open Table. By far one of the
Best Restaurant Experiences we had while in London!! From top
Notch service to fantastic food!
Thank you! Thank you !😁
Have eaten there many times but the food has gone well
Downhill ! The olive oil remains delicious and the wine . The food isnt good anymore ... terrible vongole dry and congeled . The steak was not great at all
Very beautiful and cosy restaurant. Lovely decoration.
Food very authentic and good as well.
Very attentive service, wonderful menu, beautiful dining room
I loved the relaxed but formal atmosphere. The set lunch menu was great value and plenty of choice.
We will go back in the near future.
A wonderful restaurant with adorable staff! There is a new menu but I wanted something from the old one .No problem! My husband wanted his prawns shelled for him.No problem! Delicious food! To start ,huge green olives, fresh bread, Tuscan olive oil, and a bowl filled with sweet parmegiano reggiano right from the wheel were served immediately and of all things ,smarties and biscotti for the table at the end. We loved it!
This is one of the best rest in London. You can have best Italian wine selection with excellent meal presentation, incredibly tasty and service is top. You can drink highly rated wines by the glass and you can taste seasonal local fresh Italian foods!
Way too expensive for the quality. And in the bill I (later) found listed something that I never had.
Stunning decor in main restaurant, very good service, food below par, quiet considering it was a Friday night. Unfortunately I wouldn’t return.
Nice ambiance but Too expensive for the quality of food you get..
Everything was perfect
I went there with a friend of mine and two other staff member of his company who were visiting London on Business. I chose the restaurant because its near my office and I was interested in Florence Style Beef Steak. The atmosphere was good and service was friendly. The actually meat was a little disappointing as it was rather tough and chewy, not to our likings. Other than that I think the standard of food was quite high. I am willing to go back there but not for the Florence Style Steak...
You need to be careful selecting where to sit as the noise level varies and can be annoying. The
food is well-prepared and served. As the name suggests, the wine list is the reason for dining here
but it is not inexpensive. To give an idea of costs, an aperitif, three courses (the dessert really only a
taster, a carafe of wine, and coffee produced a bill of nearly £200.00 for two: this is roughly what
West End top line restaurants are going to cost, if not more.
