We had an enjoyable meal here. Tasty and well-prepared. Good range of wines. The range of gluten-free options for my companion were somewhat limited, though.
Great service and wine. Was not a fan of the pizza, but the pasta and the fish were top notch. Portions were generous and prices reasonable. Will definitely return when we are in the area.
Hidden gem with excellent food at a reasonable price
My nephew and I were visiting London with a tour group. We had the evening to ourselves so we googled for near-by restaurants and found Riverside 2. We easily made reservations via internet and were greeted by name when we arrived for dinner. The staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful and the food...the food was excellent and we had a very short wait time for the food to be served. The staff checked on us but didn't drive us crazy by checking too often. Billing and tipping and payment were quick and easy. My only sad part is that there is no Riverside 2 in my neighborhood in the states.
Great venue for a work meal with friends and colleagues. Good service, good food, great limoncello at the end!
Pre-theatre meal - service was very attentive but the food was average and not great value for the price
Buon ristorante italiano, locale carino vicino metro lambeth morto personale cordiale piatti buoni prezzi onesti.
It’s our first meal after landing UK. Staff so friendly ! Everything is fantastic!
Good atmosphere. Tasty foods. Nice wine. Staff nice and friendly.
The portion is slightly big for tiny ladies like us, but great value for money :-D
Definitely visit there again.
Superb service and great food at a good price!
Awesome place. We thoroughly enjoyed everything from salads to desserts. Owner was very welcoming. I can’t wait to go back!
The staff were lovely, the waitress was very happy and bubbily which made the evening even more magical. The food was delicious to say the least (date had steak and I had spaghetti bog), they were made with love.
We were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Our 6 year old grandson was really well looked after. Food was good value for money.
This restaurant looked decent online and looked fairly upmarket. When visiting the restaurant it was not at all what was expected. Tables looked cheap and overall vibe was lacking. Service was okay, but did forget to add my order to the rest, so ended up eating alone & i was still charged. I would only visit this restaurant again if i was passing by and needed a quick meal.
Good food, friendly service & great value for money considering.
Service was quick and the pizza was a good size with nice, crispy base.
From start to finish we had the most excellent, friendly and warm service. We ordered the clam linguine and there was a shortage of clams so we were treated to a delightful substitute packed with other seafood to pad it out. It was delicious and we felt really comfortable and happy there. Will be back!
Amazing food and sevice ate there twice during my stay, chef cooks wonderful food well presented, 10/10 cannot fault in any way, if you go to London search out this little gem restaurant, and you will want to return again, will be returning next time in London
Great carbonara and pizza 😊 recommended for dinner
I made the reservation for a family lunch after a special occasion and the party overall found their food satisfactory. My Caesar salad was disappointing and didn't live up to what I consider a Caesar salad to be. The dressing was not particularly tasty, the lettuce not crunchy, the chicken was overcooked and there were no croutons to speak of. However the staff were lovely and attentive. Perhaps my choice of meal was just a bad one...
Our table was ready and the welcome was good. Althought he menu is very short it was unfortunate and disappointing that both a selected main and a selected dessert (from the specials of the day) were not available - and we had entered an almost empty restaurant which did get busy later. The food quality was very reasonable and price was average for what was provided. I had a steak (rib-eye was off) my guests had plaice and my wife battered cod. and we each had a pudding. 3 beers and 1 glass of wine completed a meal that cost £30 a head all in
They had no record of our booking. Fortunately we were there early so could be accommodated. Food took over an hour to arrive which was not good with two small children in our party. One free bottle of wine between 12 people was not much consolation. Food was good when it finally arrived .
Awesome place, great service and food at a great price.
Friendly service and high quality food. The decor is a bit clinical, giving a cafe-like feel. There is no disabled access nor disabled toilet facilities - something that means that we are unlikely to return.
Great welcome and nice window table for two. Vegetarian food good. Good quick service, good wine choice, friendly helpful staff and the limoncello at the end was a nice touch.
Took my little boy to the restaurant as a treat after our visit to the Imperial War Museum.
It was very quite (12pm) but the staff were helpful and attentive.
We had a delicious margarita pizza and a jug of water and the service was very quick.
My only complaint would be that we weren't listened to as we entered the restaurant - I gave our name and said we had booked a table for two for 12:30 but were early and hoped that was ok. I know we weren't listened to as I received an email from OpenTable afterwards saying that, as we hadn't turned up, this might have had a derogatory affect on the establishment and I should have let them know I wanted to cancel, which I didn't. More cross with OpenTable than the restaurant however as the email was quite snotty.
Really friendly staff and excellent food. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends without thinking.
Only had a pizza but it was very good then tiramisu for dessert which was actually one of the best I've ever tasted so overall very happy with our visit
We are a group of 28. We had booked and they had the table ready. Very friendly and helpful.
Went there with my family (2 adults and 2 children). Ordered 3 pizzas and a pasta carbonara. The pizzas were inedible! Cheap, nasty cheese. We hardly touched them. The pasta was better, as long as the cheap bacon was removed.
The wine was ok, but overpriced.
The bill was £80! Complete rip off!
This is a little gem! We loved it. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent value for money.
Italian Run restaurant, staff very welcoming and friendly. I went for dinner after work with colleagues. Food is superb - I had the Pizza Rustica and it was so tasty, made in a wood fired oven. Prosecco was great. Staff left you to enjoy your meal and did not rush us into ordering dessert etc. We had desserts too, I had the cassata which was delicious and served very decoratively on the plate. I will definitely be returning and have already recommended it to other work friends for lunch as we can walk in 10 minutes and a birthday dinner for an Italian friend who I am sure will be impressed. Good find through Book A Table where I read great reviews.
Really enjoyed our lunchtime meal. 10 of us met up for a family get together - we wanted to be near Waterloo to make things convenient for travelling. The staff were friendly & efficient and there was a nice Italian family feel to the restaurant. The food was very good, especially the meals we had from the 'specials' menu which were particularly tasty! ...and the Tiramisu was absolutely gorgeous!!
we were staying at a nearby hotel so we lunched here when we arrived, we liked it so much we booked for dinner the next day. The food was fantastic. Its a family run restaurant, the service was superb. Its spotlessly clean, the staff cant do enough for you. we will definatley go back on our next visit.
Family run and really enjoyable. They had even gone to the trouble to arrange a table specially for a large group of 11.
Really friendly , well run restaurant, that provides daily specials as well as usual menu. Proper Italian food . Great service. Worth a visit.
Awesome food, awesome service.
Very welcoming staff. Gave us a very late lunch (3pm) when we were the only customers. Food good, although my gnocci was a bit on the heavy side.
The proprietor suggested champagne as he seated us and, though I'd had no intention of ordering any, I found myself quickly saying yes. It was a bit of spontaneous fun and set the tone for a lovely meal. Unfortunately, neither my husband nor I were very hungry that night, so we had salads and didn't try the pasta. The salads were superb. Presentation was top notch. We were also very impressed with the wine recommended by our server. It was a big juicy negroamaro, no Zero. Inexpensive, sold by the glass, but amazing.
Found this place close to our hotel. Excellent food with friendly staff. You know it's going to be good Italian restaurant when there are several Italians eating there.
