Riverside 2 Ratings and Reviews
we were staying at a nearby hotel so we lunched here when we arrived, we liked it so much we booked for dinner the next day. The food was fantastic. Its a family run restaurant, the service was superb. Its spotlessly clean, the staff cant do enough for you. we will definatley go back on our next visit.
Took my little boy to the restaurant as a treat after our visit to the Imperial War Museum.
It was very quite (12pm) but the staff were helpful and attentive.
We had a delicious margarita pizza and a jug of water and the service was very quick.
My only complaint would be that we weren't listened to as we entered the restaurant - I gave our name and said we had booked a table for two for 12:30 but were early and hoped that was ok. I know we weren't listened to as I received an email from OpenTable afterwards saying that, as we hadn't turned up, this might have had a derogatory affect on the establishment and I should have let them know I wanted to cancel, which I didn't. More cross with OpenTable than the restaurant however as the email was quite snotty.
Italian Run restaurant, staff very welcoming and friendly. I went for dinner after work with colleagues. Food is superb - I had the Pizza Rustica and it was so tasty, made in a wood fired oven. Prosecco was great. Staff left you to enjoy your meal and did not rush us into ordering dessert etc. We had desserts too, I had the cassata which was delicious and served very decoratively on the plate. I will definitely be returning and have already recommended it to other work friends for lunch as we can walk in 10 minutes and a birthday dinner for an Italian friend who I am sure will be impressed. Good find through Book A Table where I read great reviews.
Really enjoyed our lunchtime meal. 10 of us met up for a family get together - we wanted to be near Waterloo to make things convenient for travelling. The staff were friendly & efficient and there was a nice Italian family feel to the restaurant. The food was very good, especially the meals we had from the 'specials' menu which were particularly tasty! ...and the Tiramisu was absolutely gorgeous!!
The proprietor suggested champagne as he seated us and, though I'd had no intention of ordering any, I found myself quickly saying yes. It was a bit of spontaneous fun and set the tone for a lovely meal. Unfortunately, neither my husband nor I were very hungry that night, so we had salads and didn't try the pasta. The salads were superb. Presentation was top notch. We were also very impressed with the wine recommended by our server. It was a big juicy negroamaro, no Zero. Inexpensive, sold by the glass, but amazing.
I made the reservation for a family lunch after a special occasion and the party overall found their food satisfactory. My Caesar salad was disappointing and didn't live up to what I consider a Caesar salad to be. The dressing was not particularly tasty, the lettuce not crunchy, the chicken was overcooked and there were no croutons to speak of. However the staff were lovely and attentive. Perhaps my choice of meal was just a bad one...
They had no record of our booking. Fortunately we were there early so could be accommodated. Food took over an hour to arrive which was not good with two small children in our party. One free bottle of wine between 12 people was not much consolation. Food was good when it finally arrived .
Went there with my family (2 adults and 2 children). Ordered 3 pizzas and a pasta carbonara. The pizzas were inedible! Cheap, nasty cheese. We hardly touched them. The pasta was better, as long as the cheap bacon was removed.
The wine was ok, but overpriced.
The bill was £80! Complete rip off!
