We were on holiday. Staff bent over backwards to accommodate our every need. The meal was delicious. Relaxing on the terrace with drinks was fantastic. Highly recommend.
Hotel was fine but the bar service and restaurant was beyond poor. Staff had no clue what an a la cart menu was, given a bar snack menu despite paying a dinner, B&B rate. Service was terrible and when I pointed this out the excuse was they were understaffed. Total evening was a shambles. Only good thing was on checking out the drinks were taken off the bill by way of an apology.
I booked an outdoor table not knowing it was a reduced menu outside. The guy in charge assured us he would look after us and we could have what we wanted. Everything was excellent, attentive service, excellent food, fabulous ambiance. Best experience we’ve had all holiday
Staff very vague no answers. The manager no eye contact didn't know the names of his staff. Saw 3 different menus given a different one when at the table. Had to pay drinks separately as couldn't be added to the table. On seeing the last menu we walked out and went elsewhere.
We didn’t eat as the menu was just a bar / snack menu not at all like is displayed on Opentable booking site
Such a shame as we love this place we were given our bill without asking for it not asked if we would like desserts or coffee .
Took a friend who hadn't been before and menu changed not as good as previous visits
The setting is superb, quirky setting, lovely views of the river, great idea. However what could be somewhere absolutely superb is ruined by the food.
The menu is very basic and not very varied, I get it is not meant to be fancy food given is outside and probably around the vibe of the surroundings but you can still have good quality of food especially given the prices are not cheap. We only had a couple of starters in the end given the lack of choice but so poor. I had chicken wings which I would suggest were microwaved or packaged oven cooked, basically dry very small and 6 for £8!. My other half then had garlic bread which was basically 2 small pieces of bread with cheese on top (No garlic to be found), again expensive (cant remember how much.
The service was quite good and I appreciated the waitress awknowledging herself that the starters were not good that we had, however after saying wasn't happy a 15% discount was applied. I would suggest either give us more something more substantial such as a free drink, or nothing at all
This could be superb if sorted the food out, as it is it is still a superb setting for a drink only
Very attentive staff. Great service. Oy criticism is that the menu seemed slightly limited. Good views all round. Would recommend.
There wasn’t a great selection of food available and the quality was below par. Lovely setting and could be so much better.
This is an outside area which is pleasant. However, it is also a smoking area which makes it unpleasant for dining.
Beautiful terrace area. Pleasent staff made a very enjoyable stay.
Very poor choice of food, and expensive.
Slow service and very poor quality food the pizza was like it came from the local supermarket. The location by the river was great that was the only plus point.
Beautiful setting by the river, lovely ambiance with relaxing music.
Very friendly staff.
Food was well presented but would have been better if pizza had been made in house.
Would recommend for ambiance and atmosphere.
The head waiter that met us was very rude. At first asked if we had booked and when we said yes on internet he frowned and said that should have been turned off!!! He then said I would have turned you around!!
He then sat us at a table and made us wait until he found us two seat that you could not eat at as the table was so low.
Service slow, so slow that we ordered our food at same time as Drinks
We booked a table to eat with the a la Carte menu but the manager was rude sat us on a table outside left us we had to ask to be moved the time our table was booked was put on another table with an umbrella but still didn’t get our meal even though other guests were being seated in better table after us and ended up with sandwich so wasn’t happy at all with service of the manager
Beautiful relaxed setting on the riverbank. Excellent service and good choice of food and cocktails. Would thoroughly recommend. Was a perfect place to eat for our weekend to Stratford
Food was very yum however got order wrong multiple times and the cocktails were over priced for what they were. Beautiful setting though.
Arrived & had to wait a while to be seated(even though we had a booking) we’d booked the Terrace & the menu was brought to us but it was a small plates menu!!! It was our Silver Wedding Anniversary & we weren’t aware their was a different menu for the Terrace?? So we’re a bit disappointed with the choice for a special meal!! The food we chose was lovely but left with a bit of sadness with the choices of food available & it not being made clear on booking that the menu was different to the Restaurant……. :(
Quick to take order but slow to deliver drinks, I could see them on the bar so eventually got them myself. Food needs an upgrade in quality for the Crowne Plaza brand/pricing.
Setting absolutely lovely but seemed a bit short staffed as service was slow especially waiting to be seated. Food a bit average- summer menu not very interesting (and only two types of salad). However the setting and the music were great so we had a lovely evening but would probably only go for a drink next time
Instantly told on arrival at the dining area by the front of house guy, that we had 2 hour's, then must leave! Not the best welcome!
I had booked a dining table...we were led to a knee high drinking table. I complained...we could not eat a meal on a knee high table. They moved us.
We ordered starters to come out first, then mains after the starters. But all meals arrived together, so they had to take the mains back. Subsequently when the mains did come out, one of the meals was cold, and so was sent back for reheating. Apart from that, the food was good.
Unfortunately the whole experience was one of being rushed by the staff. We were eating our desserts when the waitress arrived with the bill! Oh we said, we didn't ask for that just yet, what about if we want another drink?
There were quite a few free table's, so I didn't see the need to hurry us up. It doesn't make for a pleasant relaxing experience in my opinion.
You have definitely let yourselves down Crowne Plaza Stratford Upon Avon!
Very quiet for a sunday lunchtime so do not understand the long wait for orders to be taken for drinks. Food okay but not wonderfull.
Food was average, service was very good.
Lovely experience even walking through Foyer to outside Seating. Exemplary service and efficient.
Lovely way to spend an evening, plenty of staff, had to wait a wee while, that was because of great social distancing measures. Food plentiful and hot. Think FOH manager was slightly stressed as appeared a bit short as we approached him, but I guess not everyone goes by rules and he had to manage this.
Staff very helpfull nothing too much trouble. Clean and well placed by the river we had sunny days so felt as though we were on holiday. Food all good we had the special with a large glass of wine reasonable prices thoroughly enjoyed our evening
Lovely. The seating area outside in the garden is lovely.so many choices for seating.
Food very nice .
Great location but poor, poor customer service and accusational staff!
This was the last chance with this restaurant, having previously had the restaurant cancel my booking without informing me as our booked table for dinner outside during lockdown had been double booked! Zero apology then! Gave them a second chance and although ambience and location was great, with great weather, the bad attitude of staff and the manager remains!! My friend had forgot her mask so I went out to meet her to give her my spare one. I told the manager and he said fine. Ask re-entered he told us to wait and he would be with us shortly. I explained we had a table and had just gone to get my friend as I had asked him! No sorry, no yes of course you did, just a grunt and bad manners! We asked to move into the sun and one waitress said you aren’t allowed to leave your table! Finally, we got more of an answer from someone and were able to sit in the deckchairs and relax. It was waiter service in the deckchairs and although I think the drinks are way too high even for Stratford, it was a great location. Food was average. I won’t be revisiting due to the bad staff attitude! Starts from the top! A change of manager is needed!
A very pleasant experience and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The menu is rather limited but may be due to COVID. The food and, drinks were also quite expensive. We were lucky because the weather allowed us to be comfortable while sitting out side. Overall a lovely place to enjoy a meal and and a great place to stay.
Good ambience but quality of one meal distinctly average. Service a bit slow.
We felt the service was a little slow. We waited a while for drinks.
Thought the menu was very Ltd
Excellent service. Staff are lovely, friendly and professional. Great cocktails
We visited on bank holiday Sunday and there was a DJ playing on the terrace. It gave the whole atmosphere an Ibiza feel and we really enjoyed ourselves. Andy Saunders is an amazing DJ and we can’t wait until when he plays again. We will be booking a table for sure!
We are also getting married here so it was great to get a feel of the venue in busy mode. Although it was really busy the staff remained calm and collected. This is a hidden little gem in Stratford and would urge anyone to go check it out!
Food and were lovely but they seem to have to not trained the staff that well as our food and drinks went to the wrong table, we had a tab but they demanded immediate payment for the for our second round of drinks and took well over 20 minutes to bring the bill.
Lovely setting though music a bit too loud so had to talk over it. Long wait for service so make sure to order food at same time as drinks
This was booked for my wife’s birthday unfortunately when we booked there was no mention of a limited menu The whole evening was a bit hap hazard with waiters not knowing which table ordered what and a pdq machine that had no wifi
Menu very limited quality of food very poor given the cost, staff needed more training and were not aware of the menu offers
Very pleasant meal on the terrace by the River Avon
