Roba Bar & Restaurant
We are a place designed to feel stylish yet relaxed and rooted in its community. A hub at the heart of Paddington, we’re perfect for casual lunch, a business meeting to impress, an Afternoon Tea treat, drinks with work colleagues or a romantic dinner.
We where the only people there there was a quiet awkward feeling to the place the food was good but the wine is horrendous for the price. It’s a nice place for the price but I would rather pay more for a better night
Clean modern surroundings, good food at a good price for London! Recommend!
Très bonnes découvertes. Personnel sympathique et rapide!
The waiter was really friendly and nice! We had afternoon tea which was really good👍🏼
Soulless bar Lacks atmosphere , character or customers early evening!
Feels like a cross between a hotel lobby and a service station cafe!
Cancelled dinner reservation and went elsewhere .
Staff were very friendly though.
Great food and super service!! Would go back again!!
Trés bon afternoon tea, mais ambiance froide et service pas très chaleureux
Based on my experience - it was poor.
There was only one person as waiter / bar person so I had to wait to get a table even though it was quiet.
The smoked salmon with avocado mousse was average at best.
The fish from my fish and chips was poor because the batter was soggy and not crispy at all. The triple cooked chips were also limp.
Absolutely dead on a Thursday lunch. The menu is apocalyptic; better heading to Macdonald’s for range.
New Years Eve
The best squid I've ever had! Beautiful meal and wine will definitely go back
I reserved a table on the basis of the convenient location and the blurb written by the restaurant on here, and I would offer up the following warnings. Firstly, the restaurant is attached to a hotel and the menu (at the time of visiting) consisted of very lacklustre steak, chops, chicken, fish and burger options. That’s bland, uninspiring and really not what you’d expect given the competitive nature of the London restaurant scene. Secondly, the wine list was similarly disappointing and the place was practically empty - only a couple of families staying in the hotel - with no atmosphere, so I made polite excuses and left. The staff all seemed nice enough so I certainly wouldn’t hold the anodyne menu against them, but the restaurant is unlikely to draw in people from outside the hotel with these choices and needs to offer something more than characterless gastropub fare if it wants to be remotely busy. Oh, and the restaurant’s description of itself on here is a triumph of marketing and wishful thinking over reality!
Comfortable and quiet. A limited but adequate menu of good quality food and wine.
Lovely staff who tried hard but we were the only people there on a Sunday lunch, fish looked mass produced and overall expensive.
Came here for a late evening meal with my partener while visiting London, amazing food and lovely staff! A nice place
We had an early dinner for a birthday celebration. The restaurant was empty but to be expected as it was 5.30pm, but even thought there wasn’t an “atmosphere” from other people, it was still perfect lovely.
The server was so attentive and thoughtful, outstanding service and delicious food, with absolute great value for money - 3 courses for 3 people, a bottle of prosecco and a bottle of wine, all for £120! And they even put a candle in my cousin’s dessert.
Thank you for a lovely evening.
Excellent menu choice and food. Everything cooked and presented superbly. The steaks were perfect and tasty. Good wine choices. Very quiet on a Friday early evening. Service was excellent.
I took a client here for a business lunch. I was looking for somewhere quiet where the background noise wouldn't make it difficult to hear each other and I wasn't disappointed. I was not sure of the food preferences of the group and there was something for everyone. At £15 for a 2 course lunch, it represented good value for London.
A lovely afternoon tea in a charming restaurant. Charmingly served by Claudia.
