Absolutely brilliant food, service and atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend Robata highly enough - one of the best meals I’ve had in years!
We had a great evening. Wonderful food, fabulous atmosphere.
The staff, the food and the drinks were great! literally cannot fault anything! Definitely one of the best sushi spots in London!
Wonderful food , superb service .. we can’t wait to return x
Easy to book - flexible with tables- excellent food & wine selection, delightful staff with an energetic atmostphere.
I have dined At Robata a few times and always enjoy the food and the experience. However last night I was disappointed. I arrived on time however half way through the food after only an hour, we were asked for the table back. An hour is not long enough for food and we were not prewarned
Food is always spectacular and great value for money. Highly recommend!
Superb food and eating experience. Every item we ordered were so delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed.
We had some amazing food at Robata. I was disappointed that they forgot our bao buns, but to be fair I didn't realise until I got home. The waiter didn't seem very enthusiastic. We asked him multiple times to provide us with some recommendations, he eventually did but didn't seem excited by anything. It also seemed they were in a rush to get rid of us, but we managed to stay there for 3 hours so not sure why there was such a rush.
Food was mostly good - chicken was a little over-cooked. Good service even though waiter’s first day.
Food is nicely presented and very tasty. Shame that you can always hear others conversations as tables are so close from one and others.
Perfect for a business lunch - staff were delightful and the food sensational. Am already planning my next trip.
The foods are great here, especially the beef tataki
First time here and would return. We were sat closest the door and we had lovely heat until someone complained it was hot and the air con came on and it was too cold.
The food was really good, something so different to anything I've had before. The sushi was really good as well. Service was prompt, however they forgot 2 dishes, and one dish we don't even remember ordering, though we ate it and weren't disappointed.
Overall good and I'd go back again. Definitely worth a try if you want a change!
Such quick service and spectacular food - so delicious and aromatic, would recommend and would love to go again
Really good food and the staff were friendly!!!!!!
Friendly staff, nice and cosy atmosphere, delicious food and cocktails!
Great food, great service, would have been perfect if the music was turned down a bit.
We had the tasting menu yesterday afternoon. We loved every bite but thought some were more memorable than others: sashimi j fried karaage and hay flamed beef fillet. Oh and there cocktails were amazing too!
Food was amazing, especially the soft shell Bao buns. Absolutely amazing.
Early dinner at Robata yesterday. We were sat on the last table right next to the Robata grill. We didn’t mind much, but we definitely left smelling of food.
Sushi was lovely and fresh. Tried the soft shell crab, salmon and prawn tempura. All amazing
Had the Chicken Thigh and Lamb skewers both really good.
We had the half chicken. This was boneless and cut up into strips. Tasted great.
We then also had the Fried Chicken Bao Buns. This was good however the kimchi tasted off. We also got the kimchi rice which came after all our food (staff took this off our bill) and it had the same off taste.
Overall good food other than the kimchi. Paid just over £100 for two people, with a Sake flight to share (£15).
Really lovely food, plenty to choose from, good value pre theaters menu - would definitely go back.
the food is really tasty - similar to Roka. We only had the hot plates opposed to Sushi - as I think these are the standout options.
The food was so delicious. We needed guidance from the waitor of how much to order, he was very helpful. I didn't want it to end, I'll definitely go back. The atmosphere was also nice.
Delicious food, great service. Tiny bit too loud to have a conversation….
Food is always delicious! Best Sushi and Bao in Soho.
Beautiful food, lovely service, everyone wearing masks. Thank you for an amazing evening.
Food was excellent and service was great too. We were going on to the theatre afterwards and arrived a little late. Explained this to the staff who were happy to expedite our order so we could get to the show on time. Only small issue was that our table was close to the door - a bit chilly when other guests were going in and out.
lovely restaurant, very small intimate surroundings. Food was delicious, quite pricey though.
The food and value was exceptional. I was surprised at how prompt the service was for the bill & payment. Maybe < 5mins after our food had been taken away, the bill was brought to us and the hey waited with the machine until we paid. Felt like we were being kicked out. But overall, well worth returning!
Try to avoid writing anything negative however just for the benefit of people spending a lot of money on seemingly good quality food , it might be helpful!
Me and a friend went on New Year’s Eve and had the New Year’s Eve menu.
Food: the presentation was beautiful however for the price paid, the flavour and quality seemed that of a Wagammas/ Itsu vibe ( I’m sorry to say!) the main beef was quite dry as was the squid and chicken.
Atmosphere: we sat on the high seats by the door and was a tight squeeze in between two other tables however I understand it’s a small restaurant.
The music was generic commercial music which did not seem to reflect the traditional decor and vibe of the restaurant.
The very front of the restaurant where you could watch the cooking was nice to see.
Service: the service was exceptional and all the staff were so nice and attentive.
Price - £165 altogether with x2 beers
Great little find - Fantastic freshly cooked food, with a great atmosphere!
Waiters were very helpful and attentive. Will definitely be returning
Understand completely that it's Central London, and prices ££££. But, I was hungry when I left, portions too small.
Truly delicious food, everything tasted so fresh - even the fried foods were light. Left satisfied but not feeling heavy. Cocktails were also very good. Service was very attentive and polite.
Food is average, very crowded, not so authentic... only a few dishes worth going
We had a lovely dinner at Robata. I was amazed that Robata does amazing appetizers as well. We had the cerviche and king crab roll which exceeded my expectation. We then tried various robata skewers which the meat were so tender. It went so well with the truffle fries. Lastly, we finished our meals with miso grilled aubergine which was also exceptional
Everything was really tasty and the food comes out pretty quickly, the choice is big and the price are normal
Amazing food and drinks. Had our reservation cancelled twice because of lockdown but it was worth waiting for 15 months.
- I do not remember our servers name but he was young and brown skinned, he was very polite and made us feel reasssured.
10/10 food and customer service
A very nice meal after a music event. Good service and food.
