Had discovered this restaurant over the past few months and eaten there 3 times previously and really enjoyed it , however was very disappointed last night on my wife’s birthday, minestrone soup was a tomato purée gloop ! pasta was very poorly cooked And the service was very slow Not a great experience, possibly just on off night but wouldn’t rush back .

I went here on Saturday after wanting to try it for a while, I ordered off the pretheratre menu- great value for money and good variety. My soup arrived cold I told the waiter who changed it instantly, i then got Pizza for main- absolutely delicious would highly recommend and I will certainly be back really soon. thank you

The food was incredibly tasty. Staff were really genuine and seemed to really care about your experience. Only thing I could say is that our table was seated next to the door so there was a horrible draft that kept coming in.

Food was tasty and nicely presented. Service was a wee bit slow but restaurant extremely busy. The waiter pleasant and efficient. Toilet lacked paper and towels! I mentioned to a member of staff who remedied it immediately. Regular checks would remedy this. A pleasant evening in a comfortable ambience.

Lovely food and great choice on both pre-theatre and a la carte. Service was good once we were seated, but we had a long time to wait for our table, which then made things a bit rushed for us as we had theatre tickets. Really enjoyed the food - think, like many other places, they need more serving staff.

The menu has a great selection of interesting dishes. The starters (mussels and the artichoke starters) were great. The mains were mixed - some were great (prawn linguini) but the others were not great. The pappardelle with ragu was not cooked properly - the egg pasta was brittle and needed another few minutes. The chicken Milanese wasn't what was expected - the breaded chicken breasts were a bit too fried. Overall, I would go back and try other dishes as it may just have been an execution issue on that particular weekday lunchtime.

Fantastic food, accommodating staff and a lovely and lively atmosphere. This will definitely be my new favorite Italian restaurant! PS order the carbonara for a mouth explosion! Drinks are amazing too - the Cosmopolitan was perhaps the best I’ve had!

Starters were fine and then waited 45/50 mins for main course, we offered apology and some garlic bread waiting, staff were apologetic. My mains course too salty my wife's mains was under cooked lacked taste and was not edible. She had to send it back/ The Chef did state food over seasoned and staff stated that it was not up to the standard expected

Lovely place with a nice atmosphere, and staff attentive. Overall We had a lovely pre theatre dinner, the starters we had were excellent, 2 of us had pizzas and they were really good. I had the beef stroganoff which was ok, The rice was more like sticky or risotto rice, not what I was expecting and i would have liked the beef to have been more tender.

We were asked to leave the table 20 mins before our allocated time x twice. We were asked to move to the bar. My rice was very hard and stingy and did said to waitress but got no feedback she just needed her head. Had to ask for our chutney for the pate. I have been to roberta’s three times in last two weeks and have to say this time was disappointing. I have recommended before but not this time.

Venue has so much potential. It is beautiful and the server was lovely. The food itself was presented nice & the taste was great. However, both starters were cold. Sent back & the same dishes were returned reheated - this is bad enough but the fact that it was shellfish, is shocking. Main courses equally cold sadly. Staff were very apologetic, and will return to try again in a few months & hopefully it’ll improve as there’s a lot of potential.

Starter and Main course were both very nice. Dessert was a ‘sticky toffee pudding’ which was a poor version of the dessert at best - a cold hard sponge with some ice cream. After paying the bill and thanking our server we were quietly finishing out drinks when our group was abruptly told that our table was required as we had surpassed our 2 hour window. No one had explained during the evening that the table was required back, we were fine with this, but when explaining no one had said to us the ‘waitress/manager’ became quite abrupt and cheeky. We moved from the table and finished our drinks. In future I would advise that the wait staff advise the customer on the table times despite their booking method.

From the moment my mother and I entered Roberta’s we were met with the most welcome staff and a fantastic atmosphere and superb decor. The team were extremely helpful to us both and even helped me with the best places to park on a Sunday. Last but not least the food was outstanding and excellent value too. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

First time in Robertas restaurant for a family celebration. Its a bit expensive but the ambiance of restaurant and the quality menu more than compensates. We agreed that Italian food was the best we had experienced. Staff friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.
