We absolutely loved this restaurant.
The decor is fantastic, the staff were on form and of course the food and cocktails were exceptional!
Will definitely return!
Great food but had to wait awhile until we were served and then once they had delivered the bill to the table it also took 25mins until we paid it and that was only because we went to the desk, eventually to pay.
So felt a little ignored and took awhile to even get a drinks order.
But like I said food was lovely !
Really lovely - beautiful setting, wait-staff were really lovely, very attentive and nobody was too much but very helful and easy to get their attention. Food was aboslutely delicious. Top in both presentation and taste. Would highly recommend.
Wonderful Japanese food. Our 2nd time and we'll be back soon.
Lively and sophisticated atmosphere and absolutely incredible food. Having tried most of the restaurants in Bath, Robun is high end and ideal for romantic evenings, a fancy dinner with friends/family, business meetings, and any other occasion when you want something special. It's relatively loud in there, so not for those wanting a quiet meal.
New restaurant in Bath, so not many people to ask about it in advance, although heard it was quite expensive. We were taking the kids so issues are… will they like food? will it be too pricey for kids?… will the atmosphere be ok with kids? Well, the kids LOVED the food, as did we, it was a bit expensive but I’d say was worth it to have the kids eat something more interesting for them than chicken nuggets (standard restaurant offering for kids), and the staff and other diners were so welcoming and friendly to the children. The Sake after dessert was also fantastic. We had a wonderful night and can’t wait to go back! Bath has been waiting a LONG LONG LONG time for a Japanese restaurant like this!
Amazing sushi and black cod. Pudding average. It was atmospheric and relaxed. Overall a lovely evening!
Food was tasty, exceptional service but just felt the food was overpriced for what you get. The wagu beef sliders for £16 tasted like any other burger and definitely didn't quantify the price.
Lovely food, good selection great for sharing
There were things missing from the menu…it would be helpful if the staff told us before we started ordering.
Nice decor and cocktails but seems overwhelmed on a Sunday despite it not even being full. Dishes were also served over 30 minutes apart so one person is expected to eat alone....Over 1 and half hour wait for two dishes, I wouldn't have minded so much but the lobster was dry and tasteless and barely three mouthfuls for £30. Servers were friendly and apologetic but not a positive experience and would not recommend.Overpriced and poor service (Kitchen)
Absolutely amazing food. Tasted even better than it looked, and the presentation was superb!
We had the afternoon which was lovely. Amazingly presented and all items were delicious. A great alternative to a traditional afternoon tea
Starters were delicious but the sushi was not fantastic and frankly the grilled beef was not worth the very high price tag
Food was exceptional and the service was first class.
Stylish space with lovely ambience. Delicious and interesting sharing plates. Charming service particularly from Taha and Gergu.
Amazing food and attentive staff! I knocked my drink (my fault) and they were kind enough to refill my drink for me!!
Everything was delicious and our server was excellent! Glad to have experienced proper Japanese food while in Bath 😌
Delicious food, especially the wagyu! It is more of a fine dining setting, so keep in mind portions are smaller, but we were stuffed by the end of the meal regardless!
Delicious meal with really attentive staff, we will definitely be back
Best Japanese food in Bath without a doubt. It’s expensive but worth it, a great occasion restaurant. The interior is really elegant and the whole place has a calm feel to it. We were really impressed with their approach to allergies - my friend is coeliac and they were really attentive, put an alert for all of our orders to the kitchen to signal the allergy and we were both able to relax. Highly recommend.
Food and service excellent. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for.
Amazing place for Japanese cuisine in the area. Huge portions and great drinks menu.
Exceptional food and ambiance.
The Dumplings & Baby Chicken where some of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time
They had a large number of staff but it felt disjointed and disoriented, staff where not organised and assigned to particular tables or sections. If it wasn’t for the visit for the manager to check in and look after us, the service levels would have been worse.
If you've never tried Japanese food, this is a great place to start. If you're an old hand, you won't be disappointed. The decor is really interesting and well done and the food spectacular!
Amazing service as always
Food is just divine
Cant wait to go back !!
Best sushi I've had outside of London. Really tasty. Service was attentive and excellent. There was a great vibe.
Finally, a great Japanese restaurant in Bath! Although it is certainly on the more expensive side, it is well worth the money!
Perfectly executed and represented food. Loved the mocktails. Service very attentive. Thank you Annie and Gergo for looking after us! Legends!
Very poor service. We ordered a selection of small dishes, sake and a cocktail. We got our first dish then the sake. Before we had finished the first dish the next came along and felt that they wanted us out ad soon as possible. Asked for the cocktail about three times and only got it after our third dish. Asked for tap water and were told that they had a limit on tap water. After our main course we wanted to see the desert menu, after a while gave up and asked for the bill.
Music was so loud that we could hardly hear our waiter and became particularly irritating when we tried to get the waiters attention.
Our first visit will certainly not be our last. Really good front of house team and the kitchen team were on it as well. Many thanks.
The food was fantastic, however limited range for vegetarians/vegan options considering the price. Staff were welcoming, super fast service and great approach .Will defo be going again :)))
We are really looking forward to this, but sadly let down by terrible service.
They came to take our food order before we were asked if we would like drink, then the still water came as fizzy water, the food arrived when we were still waiting for the wine (they forgot), they brought sesame seeds to the table after being told 4 times that there was a nut allergy, this could have been quite serious. To add further insult it was the same waiter that was told not to bring sesame, that brought the sesame over! - 2 beers were on the bill, but only one was brought to the table,
Im sure they can get it right in the end, but their staff really had no idea what was going on as they clearly have not worked in hospitality before.
The management are not briefing their staff about what food and wine is available or indeed, how to do their job & how a meal works.. pretty poor show eclipsing the lovely food that the kitchen is making.
Excellent food and service. Nice ambience and can highly recommend
Beautifully presented food, delicious, but rather expensive. Staff delightful and elegant premises.
Excellent cuisine, good service, nice atmosphere
Lovely feeling of buzz when you walk in - its busy here - but overall we agree with a few other comments that a small piece of cod however you cook it, is not good value for £28 - it came with no other things with it - they were extra. So, it left you with a rather ripped off sort of feeling - the 4 of us had main meals - no starter and no dessert - just one bottle of wine and it came to £55 each. I know everyone has had difficulties with staff recently but there needs to be more training here as one of the basic things when you train staff is to not clear the plates until everyone has finished - that didn't happen here. Also, we don't eat Japanese food very often - so when a little guidance from the staff was requested it was met with' 'its all nice'.
Incredible food and service - quite expensive but genuinely a quality restaurant with real vibrant atmosphere and service…
Incredible food - so totally delighted to have such a high calibre Japanese restaurant in Bath - service and staff were excellent. A must visit. We will be back ASAP!
Fantastic food, ambience and service. My wife and I were looking for a special place to have dinner with our son who we now never see as he is at university in Bath. Robun hit the spot. Every single dish was exquisitely presented and delicious. Can’t fault it in any way.
