Superb food. Wonderful environment. Great service. Will definitely return many times
Excellent food and served quickly and efficiently but quite quiet on a Monday evening in late November
High quality ingredients treated with knowledge and respect. We really enjoyed our experience
Best Japanese food in Bath. Best meal out in Bath over the last few years. Service was attentive, food was excellent - overall a fabulous evening.
We really enjoyed our visit and thought the food stood up well with food we enjoyed in Japan.
Outstanding food and service. Best Asian restaurant in the South West. Perfect for a quality pre-match meal before going to the Rec to watch Friday night rugby.
Good but not exceptional food - disappointing for the cost. We visited for a birthday and had the set menu (£80 pp). Dishes were beautifully presented with a bit of theatre which added to the experience. Was also served at a nice pace over 2h. But ultimately it did not amaze our taste buds in the way the food at Oak or the Ethicurian did, both of which we have also recently visited and both of which were less expensive. The space is great as is the ambience and service. Perhaps we should have stuck with the small plates.
It was very good, a little expensive, but you do pay for quality. Great service.
Lovely Japanese meal - great ingredients and a very accessible menu.
Food was amazing but the service was pretty poor - we had the tasting menu and had to chase numerous components and the wait time between dishes was far too long!
Considering the price tag, and the automatically added service fee, the service needs to be improved!!
Loved the food!! The service was great!! Ambiance was also great. Will defo be going back! :)
Quite shockingly expensive. Service was haphazard.
Lovely food, you get the quality that you pay for, the staff were very attentive and helped with the menu if you had any questions.
Poor overall. Tough meat, and it tasted old. Generally we felt food did not taste fresh nor of particularly good quality. Extremely over-priced, all things being considered. Also, although friendly, the service was slow and disorganised. Very disappointing.
Good food, lovely restaurant, service quite slow for a Tuesday evening
First visit and will go again. Great choice on the menu. Initially service was poor waiting to get a drink at the bar but improved. Quality of food was excellent. Great presentation.
This place definitely has potential. The problem is they’re trying to be
Enjoyed the evening overall. Some food was fantastic, others average.. overall 4/5.
Wildly overpriced, small portions, deep fried everything, lacked flavour, sterile ambience
Door looked when arriving, had to call them to get in. The waitresses seemed a bit inexperienced and distracted; had to ask for menys, remind them about beers etc. The food was well prepared and tasted nice.
Some food was very good such as the popcorn prawns, black cod and the chicken teriyaki
We ordered the large plate beef which was under seasoned
The sushi was small
The buns lacked flavour too
The bartender really made our experience. She was chatty and knowledgable and very friendly. All the other servers were great as well. The food was good, with the strongest showing with the small plates and starters, particularly the silken tofu, fried chicken and the paper thin vegetable salad. The sushi and robata steak dishes were solid as well. The only let downs were the kimchi fried rice and bok choy. Neither were to our liking.
The place is well dressed in modern black and white, with splashes of red. But the lighting was a bit bright and jarring. Dimming it down a bit would help with atmosphere.
But all in all, a very nice night!
Lovely food and staff were very helpful. Ambience was good.
Delicious food! Would recommend the popcorn shrimp, octopus, the sushi/sashimi plate. Washed down with the waiter's recommendation, Tokai Fermint. Great service, will definitely be back.
Sushi was absolutely amazing! Probably the best we’ve had. Really tasty!
However the service was poor. We had to ask the waiter twice for wasabi, by which time we had eaten most of our sushi without it. Steer well clear of the wagu ribeye dish, absolutely tiny plate of overcooked, underwhelming meat with a £49 price tag! We complained and they took 50% off that dish with the manager letting slip they “get this a lot with this dish”
We booked Robun for my partners birthday and were not left disappointed. The food was excellent, the menu interesting and varied and the service friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back next time we are in Bath.
Superb food and service! However it was FREEZING!!! Not sure if this is Covid measures but we didn’t stay as long as we would have liked. We will be back though! X
Overall superb! Very thoughtful to give me a cake on my birthday (and they sang me a happy birthday too :) Ambience was nice. Food was good. Highly recommended. Kudos to the staff!
Menu had a good range for different budgets and with enough vegetarian options to cater to those not wanting fish or meat. Service was great, as was the decor / ambiance.
Seems like conceited cooking, not a homemade feeling. Very expensive.
Had an amazing experience at Robun in Bath. Service was great and food amazing. Unfortunately the table next to us was making a lot of noice (which had nothing with Robun to do) but it made the score of experience a little lower . But all in all. Fantastic experience
Stunning fresh food, amazing chefs, great service really enjoyed a night out with grown up children.
Great service and beautifully presented, tasty food. The restaurant itself is spacious with fabulous decor. Will definitely be returning and would highly recommend.
Another excellent experience and meal. Many thanks.
amazing food, best japanese food i’ve ever had, the staff were extremely friendly and food and service was very quick. definitely coming back
Sashimi was super fresh and delicious. I also had a marinated chicken fish which was succulent and interesting flavours. Verdict on steak was yesterday it was a bit too fatty and shattered is US standard steak??
Interesting decor, good service. Expensive but nice treat.
Food was great but an expensive outing for a special occasion was really let down by awful service with an incompetent and badly trained waiter. We had to ask for everything from drinks, to order being taken, to clean cutlery to the bill. No attention was paid to us which for a spend of £80 a head was a bit of a slap in the face. No excuse for this level of disdain for the customer.
We were visiting Bath and luckily pre booked several weeks ago. We very much enjoyed our evening. Food was great and the menu catered to our different tastes.
The 4/5 stars for service was only because of a couple of very small issues which we felt were because the restaurant was very very busy - because it is so good.
Best Japanese food outside in the South West 😋 👌
Food is amazing! However staff is very slow cleaning tables.
Management should definitely hire more staff.
