    Ordered lots of small plates and they arrived quickly with little gaps between - perfect. We had a concert to get to and dinner was accomplished with plenty of time, without feeling rushed. Lots of different tastes, all cooked perfectly

    We had a wonderful lunch at Robun - the food was delicious and exquisitely presented. We also really liked the decor in the dining room. We will definitely be back!

    ordered some sharing plates, not enough for one let alone share. the portions are very small even by Japanese standards. £92 for a few plates and one alcoholic drink. Friday at 7:45pm and the place was empty, no surprise given the extortionate price and portions. Hungry we gave up and went elsewhere for a meal.

    Really good food, served beautifully and beautiful to look at. Service was excellent I had a question about one of the sauces and the young lady who served us went straight away and found out the answer. I don’t give 5 stars purely for the cost of the wine

    The most wonderful food experience I have ever had. The restaurant atmosphere was peaceful and well decorated. The service was immaculate, staff were quick to serve us and the food arrived shortly after. The flavours of the food were bountiful and presentation was well done. We were first served with the Wagyu slider buns which at first glance were presented beautifully. After taking the first bite, the soft and sweet taste of the wagyu beef was perfectly complimented with the sweet sauce and guacamole. I would recommend this to anyone looking to go to a Japanese restaurant and to experience a quality meal at an outstanding place.

    More show than substance. Good quality ingredients and some dishes were good but mostly surprisingly not the best. The chicken skewers were absolutely tasteless. Only Japanese restaurant I have ever been to that has dairy in a lot of dishes. Very disappointing.

    Great members of staff on shift, very friendly, helpful about the menu options, and particularly nice to the youngest guest at the table. Food presentation and taste both excellent. A great choice for a celebration meal.

    The selection of cakes and japanese themed food were very interesting, the coconut mochi is to die for. The miso cake was very subtle but rich in flavours. The chicken karage was sublime The only regret is the tea selection, the genmaicha tea was a dissapointing, the rice flavour felt lacking from the tea, which is its characteristic taste. Overall excellent value for money and excellent service

    Very good food, although the sauces can be a little heavy and sticky. But rather let down by very variable service. Some staff are lovely and friendly, others are not and seem irritated that a customer might want their attention or need something. As an example of that, we were left waiting for almost 1/2hr for pudding and the waitress was obviously annoyed about being politely asked about it. It’s very expensive, even for a Bath restaurant, that that would be justified if the service matched the standard of the food, but sadly that’s not the case. Perhaps that’s why the restaurant, which used to be packed, was seemed mostly empty on Friday night.

    Great favors for a twist on afternoon tea which used Japanese sweet and savory food served in a lovely display wood box. Lovely decoration and quiet vibe make this a lovely place to relax and enjoy the food.

    I thought service was poor. It was known to be an anniversary and no acknowledgement of that. Food was delicious but plonked unceremoniously on the table without any effort to clear used plates or top up drinks. Water not refreshed. The food is fab but the price point isn’t matched by the service. All quite inexperienced and unfamiliar with decent dining. £230 for 2 feels quite steep

    Beautifully presented afternoon tea in a really lovely environment and service was great. Personally the food wasn’t at the standard I expected, the miso cake was bland and the sushi also. The miso soup and chocolate torte were delicious.

    Booked as a last minute meal for my daughter (vegetarian) and I. I had the tasting menu which after a bit of back and forth I was able to order (not sure if it was due to the time or that only I was having it). We ordered cocktails that we both really enjoyed. Daughter had 3 veggie starters which were enough for her - she particularly enjoyed the tempura gyoza. The tasting menu was great value for money and really good especially the waygu tartare - tuna tartare was good but probably too much truffle which overpowered it. Main of waygu beef was very good. Highly recommend this restaurant.

    Nice ambience and varied menu. Food was really good (some dishes a little over priced). What let it down though was service. Food very slow and disjointed- so half table didn’t have theirs or waiting to other parts of your main.

    This is traditional Japanese cuisine meets Fine-Dining. It is on the high-end of what I'm willing to pay, but the quality makes the expense justifiable. The sashimi was melt in the mouth, and the staff were very accommodating.

    We went for my wife’s birthday for a special meal, and it certainly was. The ambiance and service were excellent, as was the food. However the menu could do with a bit more explanation because it’s very easy to over or under order. We over ordered and ate all we could but still left some food. That said it didn’t distract from our enjoyment.
