Fish Finger Sandwich
In white bloomer with tartar sauce & mixed leaf, with chunky chips
Menu very disappointing, would have liked some meals, mainly snacks, could have gone for breakfast menu but being midday wanted a dinner.
Easy to book, friendly staff, great selection and quality of food, good portion size. We had the small English breakfast and it was just right. Lovely granary bread too. We were presented with the wrong bill initially, but it got sorted quickly. No issues
Had a breakfast, delicious as usual.
My wife and I sometimes have lunch at Robyn's nest, very disappointed to see on the new menu that the scampi and chips have been taken off the menu.
Only burger offered was a vegan burger (no meat burger).
So apart from sandwiches only meal on the menu was American hot dog and chips,
I would not pay £8.75 for a hot dog and chips.
So in future we will only be visiting Robyn's Nest for breakfast.
By 3:30 they where cleaning around us so couldn’t hear eachother
I would highly recommend this Cafe to anyone.
I would recommend booking in advance(which we did) as you are seated immediately.
When we sat down the staff member was very friendly. I was amazed at how quick the food arrived after ordering, I had the Fish Finger sandwich which had fresh salad, delicious tartare sauce and well cooked crispy cod fingers on the softest white bread, delicious! My wife had the small cooked breakfast which she could not fault and the egg was cooked perfectly. My 13 year old had the toasted Brie and Bacon sandwich with French fries. She ate all of it which she rarely does. Our dog Tilly enjoyed the doggy ice cream.
I had read comments about the crisps being stale. Ours were fresh, no complaints.
The staff were clearly very busy due to the Cafe's popularity. Not only does the Café sit across two floors, you can see the staff also had to deal with take away orders and walk ins. The staff coped amazingly well.
You can see through to the kitchen, where all the staff are working tirelessly. At one point we needed Ketchup, then doggy ice cream and then to ask where the loos were. Each time, we just gave a friendly wave and the waitress helped us really quickly.
Finally at the end of the meal we wanted to add some takeaway cakes to our bill. The waitress was really helpful and patient. She retrieved the cake board and talked us through the cakes at our table.
The cakes were really tasty with a cup of Tea later that evening :0)
Thank you for some great food and great service. We will definitely be returning. Thanks again.
We came again, a lot of new faces. The service is good, but shame I missed out the Unholy doughnut :(
Robyn’s Nest is a friendly cafe, great quality food and good atmosphere. My only point was eggshell in my fried eggs which was a shame. They were super busy so maybe rushing.
Overall a great little place with great service.
Fabulous breakfast, attentive service and good quality food.
I had a brunch at the local independent cafe yesterday, fabulous to have something local.
Lovely food and drinks and a very quaint atmosphere!
The staff are always friendly and the food is lovely, especially the cakes. However the menu is so limited to what it used to be. Would be nice to see jacket potatoes back on the menu especially now that we are heading into winter.
Was disappointed to see the club sandwich had been removed from the menu too.
Unfortunately the limited menu has made us want to go else where unless we fancy a slice of cake as your cakes are delicious.
As always the food was great,
Ladies are lovely, friendly and really helpful. They will go out their way to make your visit the best.
Always enjoy our brunch at Robyns Nest - a real treat! Pancakes with bacon for me and a breakfast for my boyfriend. Our dog enjoys a hot sausage for his treat.
It was busier than I had seen Robin's Nest before but it was a Saturday lunchtime. We were initially taken to a very low table with a sofa which would have made eating lunch from especially with a 78 year old in our group difficult. The issue was quickly rectified and we were sat at a normal height table. The service was prompt and friendly, the food and drinks lovely and I look forward to returning.
The food is really bad
Had to wait a while to be seated as staff were busy
Both of us had the breakfast. It was a Saturday morning and very busy, but the food was very good, and the service prompt. Will definitely be back.
Very nice food, pancakes weren’t very warm but the whole thing together was nice. service was quite slow even though there was loads of people working
The Caesar salad which is usually very nice was dreadful. The chicken was cold, hard and over cooked. The lettuce was all the same leaf and looked past the use by date. The parmesan cheese was not available. The sandwiches were okay but again the salad was not good. The chips were hard, under cooked and luke warm. So different to the last time we were there a few weeks ago when it was excellent. It won't stop us going there hopefully this was a one off
I Thank the Staff taking the orders, and the efficient and friendly serving of our food. Everyone was most helpful to my Disabled Mum, and my Sister to have a lovely lunch. Thank You all. Much appreciated. Will come again.
We usually go for breakfast and get the crushed avocado with poached eggs and love it. This time around we ordered the English breakfast and we were very disappointed. The food was lukewarm and tasteless as if it sat in the kitchen for a long time before it was served.
Good food, fantastic service and as it was my first meal out since the pandemic started I felt totally safe. Thank you
There was a mix up with our order but it was quickly rectified although we didn't get the granary bread we asked for.
Friendly service and lovely food and cake. Will definitely be back again soon.
I enjoyed my breakfast it was delicious but it took 50 minutes from the point of taking order to being served the food.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I am so sorry about the delays with your breakfast! We have been suffering staff shortages at the moment and we're working on fixing these ASAP to avoid such delays to service. I'm glad it was worth it once it arrived.
Was a little noisy as was busy and we usually sit outside but we were inside this time , but Food delicious as usual 😃
Thank you for your kind review, hope to see you soon!
Great food as always!
Friendly greeting, table had plenty of room around it. Service prompt and efficient. Food hot and plentiful. Good value for money. Would most definitely recommend.
Thank you for leaving a lovely review! We hope to see you again soon!
We enjoy our brunch at Robyn's Nest. Lovely pancakes and bacon.
Food was amazing and the service was friendly. Well defo go again
Despite the cafe being only half full we had to wait 40 minutes for our children’s lunchboxes - plastic white bread thickly spread with margarine and not very nice ham. Although hungry 2 out of the 3 did not eat their sandwich. Veggie burger which stated in the menu came with coleslaw, came without. When I mentioned that it was missing was told that she didn’t think it was included. Then told that it does but that they didn’t have any. Overall poor experience. Would not recommend, unfortunately.
Good breakfast.. excellent service…loads of parking!!
First visit and we were not disappointed. Service and food was amazing! Fairly busy and a bit noisy as child birthday breakfast but definitely recommend
Lovely place. Great staff and good food. They have the best English breakfast tea. They kindly told me the brand and hey presto (Amazon Prime)
I bought 1100 tea bags. 👍
Gorgeous food and happy welcoming ambience!
We absolutely love it! X
We love it here, lovely atmosphere, lovely service and lovely food….
Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely food. Nice atmosphere although noisy when trying to have a conversation.
Lovely place to sit and have lunch , will be back very soon .
Very disappointed in the menu, not as much selection as before, I appreciate nothing can be done about the noise. On my way out one of the staff called & asked loud enough for people sitting outside, excuse me madam but have you paid, it was very embarrassing as I had, offered to show her my receipt, she declined. I know she was doing her job, she could have been more discreet about it, it will be a long time before I come back.
Love this place, it does not matter what we choose it is always fresh and tasty. The staff are lovely and very attentive which is really nice too.
