The food was excellent and the staff was very nice, both discrete and caring. We had a great time at Roly's Bistro!

We were very comfortably seated, in a well spaced section, upstairs, and well separated from other diners. Lunch was delicious, up to the standard we’ve come to expect of Roly’s. Thank you fora very profession and warm service.

I met a friend for Christmas lunch - pleased to see restaurant was COVID safe - I had a feta salad which was delicious followed by really good salmon. The service was very attentive and friendly. I am a regular visitor to Rolys and based on my experience I will continue to go there - I have never been disappointed. One of the best restaurants in Dublin!

Food was nice, Service was quick, but as I we were walking down the stairs could overhear the staff members talking about myself and my partner appearance and sharing opinions on what they thought of us but mostly my dress... (saying it was too short, they didn't like the detailing etc) which I felt was unprofessional and kind of ruined the experience for me as I thought it was good up until that point.

The servicing staff wore visors rather than masks which is against the regulation. Social distancing not observed in common areas and customers allowed walk around the restaurant without masks. The food was poor.

Excellent overall . A little expensive for lunch but really enjoyed the occasion .

Our Wedding Anniversary celebration that was cancelled due to COVID so eventually got there 05/12/2020. It was a fabulous, the food, Staff and cocktails 5 star

Really enjoyed our visit to Roly's. It was a lovely way to spend our first evening out since lockdown and the staff were so nice. They took care of all the covid precautions without any fuss. Great restaurant. X

The first time ever I was disappointed. My prawns which normally are superb I believe we're reheated, we were waiting quite a while for the main course and I reckon these were cooked too early. At their prices I would expect them to be good

In general we were satisfied.
However the service,even allowing for the Covid situation, could have been better.
Long waits between courses
Steak ordered rare but had to be returned as it was more well done than rare.
The monkfish was somewhat over cooked and as such lost some of its taste : the sauce or marinate did not complement the taste but rather negated it.
Carafe wines both white and red were good.
The two other dishes were very good. Starters were also good.

Service could have been more attentive

Disappointing.
Staff had terrible English and got orders incorrect. I am pregnant and therefore asked specifically for Medium fillet steak. It came out rare. We asked for extra fries for our child but they separated my husband's meal onto 2plates. Booked a high chair, had to ask 3 times on arrival for one. No children's menu and no baby change facilities anywhere onsite. Door to disabled door was broken and had to change a toddlers nappy standing up and the floor was filthy.
Too busy, too many people, poor ability to socially distance, abysmal service and highly dis organised.
Very very disappointing for Rolys and a place we as a family have been going for years. Won't be back for a long time

Roly’s was as good as ever. Fantastic food and great socially distanced buzz!

Overall very good could have done with more veg. Maybe could have spared more than 1 SMALL potatoe. ??

A really poor choice of wine by the glass. Glass of wine small and inspiring.
The cabbage was very tough and the puree carrot resembled baby food.

Nice buzz about the restaurant while still being comfortably socially-distanced. Excellent food, great choices, and superb waitstaff. A delightful lunch.

Rolys is always a solid experience - food, ambience and occasion - one of the best places to go!

We all had great meal and the food was delicious!!

Good welcome and atmosphere: a good “buzz” but able to hear across our table and not next door.
Slow to offer drinks and wrong drinks brought when eventually ordered. Correct drinks promptly brought after the mistake was pointed out.
Twice a waiter brought other tables food by mistake.
Food was good bistro standard and meat was cooked to our specification.
However, an enjoyable evening not spoiled by the wayward service.

Food was good, unfortunately service was disappointing. Waiting ages for wait staff to take order, etc. Most disappointing of all, it took about 30min for us to get the bill and pay. I had to go to the till to request it, only to be told to sit back down. Wait staff were rude and inattentive. Disappointing service which overshadowed the good food. I won't be back.

A small delay in getting our deserts and tea/coffee, overall great service, friendly and food was excellent.

Had a most enjoyable meal in Roly’s, despite being somewhat apprehensive about being in a restaurant at this time. Food and service were excellent.

First time here so did not know what to expect but we weren't disappointed.
The staff were so kind and attentive.
Social distancing rules were rigidly adhered to and the food was delicious.
Even our guests 3 year old very picky daughter cleaned her plate so I would highly recommend Rolys.

Food was good. Reliable as always. Service a bit cold. No real interaction or interest. Didn’t ask if children would like a drink. Just a bit cold.

We were greeted and seated by a very nice gentleman. Our waitress was fine, took our order promptly. No one came back to our table to see if everything was okay. Even when I was paying the bill the man never asked did we enjoy it. It was disappointing overall. None of us would be in a rush back.
