All the staff that served us were fantastic, from bar to table.
I didn’t like the accompaniment with the chicken dish
But everything else was very good
Food was good and so was restaurant ... I hated being asked if I wanted the bill at 10.30pm and then being told at 10.50pm we needed to leave while the lights were put on full blast. The bar was still busy and so was the restaurant. It’s a city centre venue on a Friday night and I didn’t expect it. We would have stayed for another drink if we hated had to pay the bill at 10.30pm! Shame
Great venue for a celebratory lunch, birthday girl got a firework in a cake!!
Fantastic cocktails, lovely food all beautifully plated up
Very thoughtful, courteous, helpful waiter, thank you Kyle for being you xx
This was a great night out with friends. It was very busy but the ambiance was great.
Menu suited everyone’s taste and plenty to choose.
Good wine and cocktail list.
Staff very friendly and accommodating , always checking we were happy.
Back again with new friends this time who loved the restaurant like we do. It was as ever a 5 star experience with the fillet of beef being the star of the show accompanied by the Shiraz Malbec. Thank you and see you again soon for our wedding anniversary.
The service in this restaurant is always outstanding and the food a work of art
We had a lovely Sunday roast for my mums birthday treat. We eat out a lot but never for roasts as they’re normally poor, but we found this one outstanding. The meat was generous and cooked to perfection (we both had beef) the vegetables were crunchy and tasty, the gravy was rich and hot and the Yorkshire pudding was enormous! Overall amazing quality and quantity and all the staff who looked after us were very friendly and professional.
First time my partner and I have been to roof top gardens, expected it to be completely different. It was lovely but the noise level was high due to people being drunk. Thought we would have a great view of the city but all you can see is people in their flats. Meals are expensive for what they are. But the service was great.
Lovely food. Our server was excellent. Food very pricey, however very tasty and a lovely evening.
First time here and staff were very friendly and food was lovely. Will definetly be coming again and recommending to other people. Ben in the bar area was really good and sorted me out a free drink due to a little mishap lol.
I loved the evening at the Rooftop Gardens which I went to with a friend. The steak I ordered was lovely, however the potato fondant (which they called it) was like a slab of potato which had a funny reheated flavour. I think I would choose something different if I return.
Very lovely restaurant, very classy and attentive staff. Wouldn't say food was all that great. I had the olives for starters with warm bread , but unfortunately main meal let us all down. All our burgers were overcooked and dry, I had beef and my friends had the chicken. Overall was a nice place to try. But for the price and what the food was I wouldn't rate it.
Was a family lunch, my sister and bro-in-law on a weekend visit from Kent. I decided it would be nice to do something a little bit special for lunch. I had had good feedback from family and friends who had visited
The Rooftop Gardens, so knowing we as a family like something a little different, decided to give it a go.
I also have held senior management positions in catering and hospitality for over 30 years, so appreciate a well run restaurant/Bar which ` The Rooftop gardens` certainly is.
First impressions from the outside i must admit were a tad disappointing ! Maybe something to address at some point. From there though it just got better and better. The service is impeccable, Bex our nominated
waitress, went over and beyond to make our visit memorable. I have complicated dietary requirements, which Bex and the guys in the kitchen coped with absolutely brilliantly.
So a massive well done, and we will return. I do think maybe the prices are a tad too high, but again not enough to put me off returning.
Unfortunately the following day after dining at the rooftop gardens i was very unwell for 12 hours plus and was violently sick every 20 minutes and could not even keep water down. I can only put this down to the duck main course i ate as no one else from my party suffered and issues following the meal. My meal did seem a little on the cool side but i didnt think anything of it at the time.
Lovely place/venue but after my experience i will not be returning.
Had a lovely evening with my fella was very enjoyable great food , friendly waiter prompt service . Lovely coctail . Only downside was a bit disappointed cushions outside and blankets for the chairs have disappeared and missed that ,as it was chilly .
Can't fault the food at all as both my starter and main was lovely and our waitress (Rebecca) was excellent. The downfall is the welcome and lack of customer care before being seated. You check in and if your table isn't ready you are guided to the bar and then basically left there until you realise they're not coming to take you to your table! On going back to the check-in point I was told that they had asked me to go back after 15 minutes or so to see if the table was ready (they didn't), when I queried it and said we expected to be guided to the table from the bar I was informed that once people have checked-in and have gone to the bar or outside that their team wouldn't be able to find them. So basically if you don't go back again you'll be completely forgotten about! Also, there was a very poor selection of wines by the glass giving only four very basic choices and lack of imagination around the cocktails as if they didn't list it they couldn't make it. The restaurant has a nice ambience and the food is good so I would go back now knowing what to expect of it.
We went to the Rooftop for a lunch before a Ncfc match as we were meeting our son who was coming by train. We had a lovely lunch and our only comment would be that the ribs were enough to feed all three of us!
Four of us arrived Friday evening for a meal, seating was overlooking an illuminated Norwich cathedral. The food was cooked to perfection and the service was impeccable. Would strongly recommend.
We arrived early but were greeted very well indeed, we were given a choice but decided to sit at our table,
the waiter was friendly and very helpfull the food was excellent, all in all it was a five star night, would be more than pleased to return
Lovely afternoon tea, relaxed and friendly. Great views over the city of Norwich. Not too busy and tables nicely spaced out. Attentive service. A great afternoon, able to sit, relax and were not at all made to feel you had to rush.
Totally lacking in atmosphere and certainly not a stylish or special place to eat.
We were greeted by a member of staff who communicated a total lack of interest in us or the restaurant. It didn’t really get any better.
Sunday lunch was well served. Overall, was worth going, and is recommended.
Good food, upper scale for Sunday lunch, good Gin choices
Excellent service, friendly and knowledgable waiter. Amazing food and good portions. Would recommend it to anyone.
fantastic evening!! The tomahawk Steak was to die for!!! great atmosphere and top class service! I will be back for sure!
Fantastic Food and cocktails, awsome surroundings, great ambience. Only disappointment I had emailed prior asking for a sparkler in my partners dessert as was his birthday that didn't happen. Little things that make it count! But will certainly recommend and be back!
Very good food and superb service in a unique setting. It was very noisy (because of one particularly loud group right next to us) but still most enjoyable.
Hi lovely place staff were super friendly and helpful however the sea bass was a little disappointing for 17 pounds. Thanks
Fantastic food, great ambiance and the staff were very attentive. Made for a fantastic evening celebrating.
Excellent meal in a great atmosphere. Service was outstanding
Excellent meal with very attentive service, one of the bast restaurants in Norwich
Fantastic, Service was great; Atmosphere was lovely and the food excellent. No faults at-all, We sat outside with the heaters on and enjoyed our meal and drinks, Will definitely come back.
My friend and I had a delicious lunch with attentive (but not intrusive) service. The menu was excellent and good value, my local pub charges much the same but there really is no comparison. It was our choice to splash out on the wine!
Service and food not quite up to the standards I had experienced here previously. Table for two booked in advance to celebrate wedding anniversary, requested to sit outside to appreciate the city skyline at night, but found we were sat in the middle of terrace between 2 large groups. Could have mentioned it at time, but my husband didn't want to make a fuss. So just as abit of feedback I hope you find helpful, people probably request to sit outside for the view and also a table between 2 large parties is not very romantic for an anniversary dinner.
I went to the rooftop gardens with my girlfriend to celebrate an anniversary and I don't think I could have picked a better place. The food was lovely, the drink was good, the ambiance was so nice to be in and the staff were amazing!
starter was very good , main meal was very disappointing for both of us
Everything was spot on service exceptional food lovely
Thought wine was over priced but food was excellent. Will definitely be back.
Very friendly and non pretentious. Great setting and ambience.
However the service was poor and the food average.
I could not have been happier with our dinner at Rooftop Gardens.
The food was lovely, as were the cocktails. Nice friendly service, attentive but not intrusive.
We will definitely be back.
