Rosa Madre is the most authentic Italian restaurant in Dublin. We are located in the heart of Temple Bar, one of the most exciting and vibrant areas of Dublin with great shops, bars and many five stars hotels.
We specialize in fresh fish, delivered daily by local suppliers and we guarantee to always have the finest quality available. Our seafood cuisine is characterized by the simple quality of the catch. We place our orders during the night, directly from the port where the fish is delivered to ensure we always get the freshest product available.

Great food and drink, very good service and although quite pricey it's still worth it. Birthday tiramisu on the house with a happy bday song was a nice addition.

Food was delicious. Lots of fish choices.
We were there for a birthday party and were somewhat surprised that there would be a charge per person to bring along our own cake for the birthday person. A service charge to cut the cake and use their plates. Maybe that's normal but we hadn't come across it before.

Really impressed with the quality of the food here. Everything is really fresh and cooked to perfection.
There is great choice of dishes.
We had daily specials to start - Crab Salad(very tasty and fresh) and Sockeye Salmon (melt in the mouth).
Shared a second course of Red Prawn Gnocchi that was delicious.
We shared the daily catch of Whole Turbot, oven baked with potatoes and cherry tomatoes. Genuinely the freshest and nicest fish I have ever had.
The service was top notch - all staff were very friendly and very helpful when choosing from the menu.
I would highly recommend and I am looking forward to going back again.

Food is excellent but not cheap
As an Italian, i can’t fault the food at all and you can taste real Italy in your mouth, compliments to Chef!
The service was not as friendly as i would expect from my fellow countrymen, border line snobbish.
When asked an opinion between 2 wines, i was offered a 3rd choice (not requested) at a much higher price... never like that!
When my friend asked advise between 2 choices of pasta dish, she was not offered description which could help but rather information on the size and type of pasta. To an Italian, it would be valuable but to an Irish, not really. She was looking for a little more but our waitor was rather cool.
Overall a great experience, i had heard so much bout the food, however there are many excellent italian restaurants offering a more friendly service and fun atmosphere

Really enjoyed our meal. This restaurant does fish well. Highly recommend the oven baked fish of the day. We were keen to get advice on an Italian white (we are more knowledgable on French wines) and didn't feel the waiter very knowledgable. That said he was a lovely guy. Wine was very drinkable. Also they did not have any Italian sparkling wines!!

Delighted to have discovered Rosa Madre. It was a busy night and service was a little slow but that was our only complaint, and they were apologetic and charming. Will be back next time we're in Dublin.

We had a lovely night out in Rosa Madre. The staff were very exceptionallly friendly and very attentive. The food was wonderful. The wine was beautiful but at the upper end pricewise. While it is mainly a fish restaurant, I'm not a lover of seeing a table of raw fish at the entrance or of the waiter showing a live lobster he was going to cook, to a guest at another table. Then that's me. Others would like this.

Rosa Madre was a great value and a nice change up in the Temple Bar area. It was small, quiet and the service was great. Not knowing Italian made it a bit difficult to order from the menu, but the food we chose ended up being fantastic.

I generally recommend this place as one of the top....ambient and service absolute impeccable....the only thing this time is that two of the five dishes ordered, squid risotto and monkfish were little too salty...I loved the rest, for example moscardini are really perfect and the crab tonnarello as well; my seabreem was perfection too and truly well served.... however since it is quite expensive I would expect little more attention on those details....impeccable the owner in welcoming us

Excellent variety of choices on menu, extensive wine list. They had Falanghina, which we love and can be difficult to find!
The waiting staff were attentive, friendly and efficient but not intrusive.
We had seafood fritto misto griglia and sea bream tartar- delicious! Mains were even more delicious: A mix of tuna and other seafood perfectly cooked and a huge plate of monkfish in a mild garlic sauce.
Desserts were equally impressive with a melt in the mouth chocolate cake and a bowl of assorted sorbets presented in the most delightful way!
I would go back any day! Absolutely top quality!

It’s a lovely restaurant and def worth a visit. My expectations were high based on recommendation. The starters and dessert were superb and the main was fine but nothing special. Wine very good. The service improved during the evening but no one actually welcomed us or actually spoke to us for the first twenty minutes but the main host was lovely when he cane over. It was a lovely evening and there’s a good ambience in it

Rosa Madre is a warm and welcoming restaurant. The food is generally good but my husband's steak was a little overdone and my fish was quite dry. Starters were very good. The wine is definitely overpriced.
