Muy buen lugar. El ambiente y concepto son muy buenos. No lo había visitado en CDMX, sólo en Tulum. Las variantes “exóticas” que ofrece el restaurante son lo que, a mi parecer, lo hacen diferente y le da un toque de exclusividad en cuanto a la comida se refiere. Aún así el sabor de los alimentos (al menos los que probé: la trucha y las tenazas de cangrejo) no es sobresaliente. Que no se malinterprete el comentario; es muy rico! Pero creo que podrían encontrar otro tipo de preparaciones más llamativas o de nuevo, “exóticas” para exponenciar o explotar más los sabores. Algo a destacar es el servicio: inmejorable! Capitanes, meseros y hostess por igual. Felicidades. En fin, ampliamente recomendado. Sin duda estaré de vuelta pronto.

We had dined previously at the Cancun location, so we had high expectations, but this experience was quite off. It’s a gorgeous space with lots of friendly staff, but they were very inefficient at their service style and technique. Good drinks, pretty good wine list, gorgeous seafood. The Florida stone crab claws were really bad, had a terrible texture. The salads were obnoxiously huge, so much so that they were difficult to eat. The octopus special was cooked well, but very one note in flavor. One guest received their entree, then everyone else waited, and waited. We had to call a manager over to see what was going on. 4 more entrees came out, still missing one, we all waited and waited. It was over 45min from the time the first entree was dropped until the 6th person had her meal. And at that point she got the risotto, it wasn’t finished cooking and the shrimp on it were raw. Very disappointing. Management tried to make it up by buying dessert and giving tequila, but our evening was already a big disappointment. Especially when they tried to make excuses to “sometimes serving head on grilled prawns undercooked”. Not ok. Just apologize and accept that your team screwed up. I really liked this restaurant, but not sure I will return.

Yo estaba impresionada con el servicio especialmente. Tengo alergias al trigo y lácteos y hicieron el esfuerzo de ayudarme a elegir platos adecuados para mi cuando era una noche de un menú fijo. Salir a comer a veces es abrumador y da miedo que me pueda enfermar grave y agradezco muchísimo que tomaron el tiempo de escucharme, creerme y cuidarme. De veras, gracias.

Went for my birthday and a trip to celebrate the new year. I booked this months in advance and was a bit annoyed when they didn’t have a table ready for us. They offered us one in the smoking section but we declined. The table we got ended up being a bit cramped and against a wall and door so It was hard for the waiters to reach some of us. Also took them a long time to offer us the drink menus. We didn’t get those until after they showed us those plates with the food. The food ended up being amazing. Everything we got was delicious and so well presented. I loved the sparkler moment and wish there would’ve been more dancing and stuff like that. Really make it a party. The restaurant had a great vibe.

Al momento de llegar el lugar estaba saturado de gente, y por tal motivo no pudieron respetar mi reserva ya que era en zona para no fumadores, nos tuvieron esperando casi por 1 hora, creo que podrían haber hecho más por hacernos sentir más cómodos el capitán se demoró mucho en aparecer al final nos dieron un postre de cortesía. El lugar está muy bueno pero en días muy concurridos hay que tener mucha paciencia

Our family of four was lucky enough to get a reservation here while visiting CDMX over Christmas. What a treat. The service from the moment we sat down with Joel as our server and Franklin as his assistant was so kind, attentive and extremely good. All of the appetizers we chose (artichokes, mushrooms and guacamole) were very unique in the preparation. I had the risotto with truffles and mushrooms, my family had the steak (arrachera) pulpo (octopus) and my husband the prawn. Incredible, each one. For desert we had the chocolate sphere and again, didn’t disappoint. Do yourself a favor, eat here! Thank you for a memorable experience.!

I can’t complain too much because we got our meal for free but overall it was a very disappointing experience (especially for Christmas Day).

Despite booking more than a month in advance when we arrived we were told we had a small table outside. I asked if there was anything inside and was told no.

We were seated against a piece of plastic in a very cold part of the restaurant. I sat down and my chair broke. Everything seemed ok (except for the cold) until the area became so chaotic and crowded that I had staff’s stomachs and arses in my face every 30 seconds.

I did not ask to be moved as we had already been told there was no availability.

After averages cocktails, a very good burrata and 2 overly salty ceviches I had had enough of being cramped with multiple posteriors too close for comfort (and two other tables complaining and magically being reseated) we asked to cancel our mains. I assumed this would make our bill appear, but my request was ignored and food brought to us. We got up and left being granted no fee after complaining further.

It was complete unorganised chaos (it was Christmas Day, and I would understand some busyness but being asked whilst eating entree what name the booking was under proved that no one knew precisely what was going on)

I’m sure it’s a great salty place on a normal day, but I advise that if you’d like a perfect Christmas give Rosa Negra a miss.

There were 4 of us and my dinner never came out. 15 minutes after my family received their meals I told them I no longer wanted it. They eventually brought it and didn’t charge for the dish but no one ate it. Overall the food lacked character. More like a NYC scene than an authentic experience. I do not recommend.

Worst dinner in Mexico City. Would not recommend under any circumstance!! We were seated in the outdoor patio even though we had a reservation and there were tables available inside. Bad start and it only got worse. The only bright spot was the artichoke appetizer - tasty and well presented. We ordered a salad which they later informed us they could not make, so we substituted the with the Burrata. Poor presentation and zero flavor. For our main course we ordered the lobster and roasted vegetables. While we were waiting our waiter forced us to get up so they could move our table and a few others to make room for a large group of people at the end of the patio. This obviously delayed them serving our dinner because when it arrived everything was cold and the lobster tough and inedible. Complaining did no good and they would not adjust our bill even though we did not eat a bite. Our most expensive meal in Mexico City and the worst by far. Many better choices available. Stay away.

Truly an incredible experience. Compared to the rest of Mexico City dining, it’s expensive, but: the portions are HUGE, the food is incredible, and it’s still significantly less than a comparable dining experience in the states. We loved every second of it. Get the chocolate sphere for dessert.

Amazing meal and service. We were a family of four, ages 12-50 who could not agree on a dining experience so we chose strictly on proximity to where we were. What a strike of luck! The service was welcoming and attentive. We received an explanation of their options and some recommendations for first-time diners. We had ceviche, pasta, meat, and fish and shared them among the table. The Branzino was amongst the best I have ever had. It is so easy to under or over season this particular fish, but it came out perfect. Crispy skin, buttery inside. The ceviche was outstanding as well, so fresh. My son had the New York steak, medium-rare, it was perfectly cooked, which given the large size was impressive. My daughter sliced some off to add to the custom pasta they made for her when nothing from the menu stuck her craving for that meal. I’m just mad we didn’t make room for dessert because I am sure it was just was extraordinary. Of the 25+ meals we had in CDMX this one was top 5 on our list. A final note, the area and atmosphere may suggest that this is a restaurant best enjoyed by adults however when we dined (December 25th) it was full of families so please don’t skip this gem if you are with a multi-generational party. They have something for everyone and if they don’t they will make it.
