After the closing of vegetarian havan, I think Rosalinda should be rated as the best date night vegan restaurant in Toronto
It is very pleasant, food is good, staff are good. It’s nothing over the top. Just a pleasant place for lunch.
Service was excellent, and the lunch food delicious! I actually returned for dinner, with different friends!
Had the quinoa chorizo bowl, which oddly arrived with the appetizer minutes before my companion got his main. Not sure what happened but this dish was much better when I had it the first time many months ago; it was very heavy on the sweet potato, which overwhelmed the dish. Also an inordinate amount of kale stems, roughly hewn and difficult to chew. My companion was happy with his fried tofu bowl. Music was lovely but much too loud for lunch. Service was very friendly and chill.
The service staff were truly warm and hospitable, however, the food REALLY missed the mark. With the exception of the pineapple mushroom tacos, which were tasty, the rest of the dishes lacked a freshness and vibrancy and Mexican authenticity. Namely the Chilaquiles Verdes, which appeared to be a bowl of warm corn tortilla chips which immediately became soggy in the sauce, layered with chunks of avocado and strangely placed kale. For the price and reputation, I was disappointed.
Very pleasant experience from start to finish. The hostess and server were both very kind. The decor is beautiful. It’s nice to have a more upscale plant based restaurant. The food was excellent. I would definitely recommend Rosalinda!
Great food and great service !!!
Service could have been better. Drink order took long. Appetizers were greasy.
Food lacked a lot of flavour and the server forgot to bring us one of our dishes but still charged for it.
I do like Rosalinda but this experience was not as pleasant. The timing of the food was off and service was not as good as usual.
It was a lovely evening with our friends who are Vegan. They were excited about the menu choices and the quality of the food.
We have recommended Rosalinda to many of our friends and family and have also brought friends over. Excellent food. Great service.
We had reservations and had to wait 20 minutes which a bit annoying as there is no really foyer. Other than that, it was amazing. Best vegan place in Toronto! Everything on the menu was great... especially the appetizers! We cannot wait to go again!
Great service and enjoyable food.
The food was AMAZING and the ambiance was wonderful but the service was horrid outside of the friendly staff that seats you. Such a shame because the place is amazing but being forgotten about not once, not twice, but three times and having to track your server down to pay just left a bad impression.
I love eating at Rosalinda's because we can share all the delicious dishes. The waiters were very knowledable and attentive.
Delicious food and even better service. Our waitress went above and beyond and every other staff member greeted us and were attentive despite them not being the ones directly serving us.
Food is fantastic and staff are wonderful! Love this place!’
Interesting concept: flavors were fair (though did not remind me at all of Mexican veg cuisine). I was still a little hungry after sharing 2mains, 3 appetizers with a friend who is a small eater! It just seemed too much bother to order yet another main so we came home and had a slice of toast.
Birthday with friends
Food was delicious and service was stellar
Will be back again and again
loved it! celebrated my son's 35th birthday and 2 'oldies' plus son and partner all enjoyed the food and ambience
Really enjoyed the food. Also have gluten free options.
Service was great. Loved the music.
Have the coconut ceviche! Such an unexpected dish and combination of flavours!
Loved the food and the atmosphere! Our waitress didn’t really ask us anything in terms of if we enjoyed our food or anything. Just took our order and that was it barely spoke
With limited vegan restaurant options in Toronto, I was excited to try out Rosalinda. I was there on a Friday evening with a party of 4 and it was by far one of the worst service experiences I’ve had. Our server took an hour to take our food order only after we had to hail down another server and by the time the food arrived 45 minutes later we had to clear our own side dishes from the appetizers and we only received 3 of the 4 dishes that all arrived cold. Food was sub par, flavourless and over priced for the tiny portions we received. We also regretted ordering the pitcher of margarita at $85 which was a water jug 3/4 packed with ice, barely made up for four drinks. When we complained to management about the crappy service, the manager came over to our table to apologize and compensated us with four shots of what tasted like watered down tequila with strawberry daiquiri mix, it left a bad taste in our mouths to top off an awful dining experience.
Great food, great service. Very Accommodating for our party.
Really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and great service!!
Very delicious and healthy. Beautiful environment and friendly staff.
The owner, Jaime spent a year in Sydney and Surface Paradise, Australia. He has absolutely transcended Australian food culture and aesthetics to his restaurant in Toronto!
Great food, with super yummy flavors and taste textures. Would definitely go there again the next time I am in Toronto.
By far one of the best, not just vegan, but overall restaurants in the city. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Highly recommend!
Great ambiance, great staff. We liked the food, especially the mole and vegetables.
Probably the worst vegan restaurant I have ever been to. The food lacked flavour and the menu was very limited. We ordered something which we tried and didn’t like and told our server in order to get a recommendation for something else that tasted well... better. A few mins later the restaurant host or manager came up to us and asked what was wrong, we thought she was just asking for feedback so we said the same thing we said to the server that it didn’t really taste very good. Instead of apologising or taking any responsibility she proceeded to tell her that we had eaten most of it so she can’t take it all off the bill. This really annoyed me because her attitude was extremely condescending and we were never even trying to get anything “off” we simply wanted to order something else that tasted better. I said nothing at the time because I didn’t want to cause a scene and politely accepted. Highly disappointing, I brought my family here for dinner because I had heard good things but both the attitude of staff and the food was more than underwhelming.
Excellent reimagining of several classic Mexican dishes but 100% vegan. Love the tapas style sharing. Cashew crema sauce was a wonderful touch on several dishes. Service was good, food delivered promptly and in sequence to allow for savouring food and conversation in a relaxed manor. The bill was surprisingly moderate, too. Provecho!
No need to be vegan to appreciate Rosalindas! We had multiple severe allergies and they were able to adapt everything (almost) on the menu.
The food was very good, except for the burger. It has quite a large dry bun so until I took the patty out of the bun, most of what I could taste was the bun. The guacamole and chips, veggie fritters, mole, rice bowl, and fries were very good, and the grilled broccolini was excellent. Our server was very good. She was knowledgeable about the menu items and and provided useful advice when it came to selecting what we should try. It was taking a while to prepare our food so the kitchen sent out a complimentary plate of excellent grilled broccolini which was very nice. The atmosphere was pleasant and the noise level was low enough that my friends and I could talk to each other without having to shout. I would dine at Rosalinda again and try the Mexican dishes and items to share. I would recommend Rosalinda to others but suggest they have something other than the burger (which you can get at other vegan restaurants) and try the Mexican and other dishes that are unique to Rosalinda.
Portions are great, but the taste was not great. I had the quinoa bowl and it was not great. The mouse tasted like it was infused with pine? It was weird. I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, I would not return.
Very much enjoyed this vegan restaurant. Food was delicious, and our server was wonderful! Try the nonalcoholic Seedlip cocktails. They are quite good!
Excellent first visit...will definitely return...food was excellent and waiters very informative
