Great service - very attentive and accommodating of severe allergies.
Service was very personable.
The food was not that good, we even returned a dish that we didn’t like and we will were charged for that dish. It is not the best vegan option in Toronto.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Would recommend. It seemed it was our server’s 1st night and made several comments we thought was extremely odd. He asked us on 3 separate occasions “was there something else we were waiting on” to which I replied you tell me. We were actually waiting for him to offer us a dessert menu. When we finally asked to see one and ordered a dessert he came back to drop off cutlery. He came back moments later and again asked a 3rd time what we were waiting on. Lol perhaps an off night. Defiantly would recommend trying Rosalinda - food was really great.
My husband and I had an incredible experience at Rosalinda and we’ve been telling our friends and family! The food was fresh, flavourful, served quite quickly and was delicious! Best of all, because the food is vegan and therefore lighter on the stomach, we were able to try several dishes and still walk out feeling satisfied but not heavy (and also feeling healthy and energetic)! I would highly recommend this restaurant. The dishes on the menu may not seem familiar to you but ask questions, look at the glossary at the bottom and don’t be afraid to “take the leap” and try something new and difficult as you won’t be disappointed at Rosalinda.
Excellent vegan Mexican food and very friendly and prompt service.
We really felt like we were being taken care of.
Lovely ambience as well.
We look forward to returning with friends.
Food was good but it was really awkward to sit right next to another couple when the entire restaurant was empty.
Food was delicious! I had the jackfruit tacos and it has the right amount of spice and was very flavourful. The cost is a bit high for vegetarian food but it was a nice experience . We ended with churros. Yum!
I am not vegetarian or vegan but go to Rosalinda semi-regularly nonetheless. The food is great and the people are lovely!! For someone who used to consider meat THE point in every lunch or dinner this place was and is a revelation.
Only issue - the waiters are uniformly and peculiarly impossible to ‘get’. The pacing on every lunch I’ve had there is always off, you just can’t get someone to take tour order, serve the food, check on you and get you a bill (especially that last point) in any reasonable amount of time or pacing. This is despite the fact that they all seem to be lovely people who care. Why??? I really don’t know - last time there we told the waiter we needed two more minutes to order which was followed by 13 minutes of trying to flag someone down to finally place a lunch order and another 19 minutes at the end of lunch trying to get our bill.
And still - nicest people and great food!! So go and just give yourself lots of time.
Our server Jess was amazing! She made great recommendations and was so accommodating and attentive. My previous experiences here were lacking in comparison! Cannot wait to go back again now that I have some menu favourites.
I entered Rosalinda's with high expectations, which may be why I was disappointed overall. We ordered jack fruit and carnitas tacos, roasted cauliflower tostada, a burger to share and a couple of drinks.
The drinks were lovely, the Atmosphere was beautiful and thoroughly enjoyable. The cauliflower tostada was my favorite of the bunch, followed by jack fruit tacos. Carnitas were a bit bland, but passable while the burger was a huge disappointment. I'm generally a fan of veggie burgers especially black bean but this was a flat patty with toppings that seem like an afterthought. Avoid for the price. Nothing else on the menu was really enticing, thought if I had to pick again I might go for a bowl.
I won't go back, there are far better vegan places in Toronto for less, but it was fine to try.
It was a great experience for first time coming here. Server was really nice and friendly and ambiance was really nice! Had the Winterlicious dinner with my friend and it was great! :)
Delcious and creative food me u for vegetarians.
The server was very charming and accommodating.
The food was outstanding and we will be back soon to enjoy the beautiful experience.
Everything was soo flavourful and delicious! Vegan food never tasted so good!
The service was medicore at best and while some of the dishes were creative, I didn't find them worth the price especially for the small portion sizes.
I came here for the Winterlicious menu. The timing of the appetizer and main dish delivery was on-point. But, the dessert took a while to arrive. Server was friendly (although, I'm sorry to be candid here, he had bad breath when he was talking to us). Overall, a 4 / 5 for a Wednesday night!
Being my first time, the experience was ok. Atmosphere, decor, food portion is nice. Quality is ok. I wasn’t blown away. Visited Rosalinda during “winterlicious” and ordered the following:
Nacho corn soup, has a nice little hint of spice
Spicy tofu bowl, filling! Tofu’s coating tasted a little salty, very crispy, a little oily/greasy
Hand braided churro, tasty.
Been a few times, food was fine but service wasn't as good as the first time we went.
The food, service and ambiance is always on point! Thank you
Portions were a bit small but still filling enough. Food was good for vegan dishes. A bit disappointed with the desserts but the corn Ancho soup starter and mole were good
Rosalinda is my favoruite plant-based restaurant in Toronto. Amazing flavourful food, absolutely stunning interior, and the staff are the very friendly and efficient. Highly recommend to everyone, plant-based diet or not.
Winterlicious menu was okay — we loved the app (soup) and the dessert (churro), but the mains were lackluster. Wishing we could have had a taco or tostada since they’re known for that, or the burger! Even the lunch menu mains looked better.
Amazing vegan food!! I will definitely be coming back!!
The food was really good but portions very too small. Three courses for Winterliscious and left still hungry. Add some rice and beans to the main course or something to make it heartier and more consistent. This is a Mexican restaurant not just a veggie one.
It’s is a very nice place. I like the decoration and the variety of food they offer. I wish for the winterlicious menu there could be more options for people that are allergic to nuts. The waiter at the very beginning wasn’t too friendly.
Unfortunately our service was not very good this time around, our entrees were brought in 10 minutes apart, we weren't offered any drink refills and were not asked how our food was. For the food, both my soup and entree were served at room temperature, which when it's -10c out wasn't not at all comforting. I wouldn't recommend serving relatively cold food during winterlicious, or at least warning you on the menu that that's the case.
An interesting restaurant that does wonderful vegan versions of Mexican and South American dishes. The food is unique and delicious and the decor of the restaurant is beautiful.
Was really underwhelmed by the food and service. I was expecting good things from all of the reviews but have had MUCH better vegan cuisine at other restaurants. Food was on the verge of being cold and the creativity just wasn't present. There was way too much going on with my dish and my wife burger was probably the worst meat alternative I've ever had and the fries were cold. The service was almost just as bad with multiple things being forgotten and it was a struggle to track them down to get anything. The ambiance and decor was top notch though but I definitely don't go to restaurants for the ambiance alone. Would not reccomend.
Amazing meal and service! Very generous portions...we couldn’t finish but were happy to take home delicious leftovers. 😊
This is my second time dining at Rosalinda in the past month. My first experience was outstanding - food, service, ambience, value, and I decided to go back with a different group of people (at my recommendation) and everyone loved it. I am not actually Vegan, nor were any of the people in my second group of four, and each person said they would definitely go back and take other friends and family.
I'd recommend the chef's tasting menu, and the idea is to share the plates and enjoy the wide variety of authentic Mexican flavours. This experience has nothing to do with what you might think of as a traditional Mexican restaurant in Toronto or North America. The head chefs are Mexican, and the flavours and food looks and tastes like what you might expect to find within actual regions and locales within Mexico.
I've been fortunate to have Moses as our main waiter both times, and I think we were all a bit spoiled by his excellent and attentive service. All the staff, however, were very friendly and helpful. What a delight to go out and be treated this well, where the service itself equals the excellent quality of the food.
The space is very nicely decorated, warm and inviting, and you can see they paid attention to sound baffling devices such as large sectional rugs throughout. It is quite a large space, but it is divided into 4 or so distinct areas. It has always been very full when I've been there, but we've never had an issue just chatting normally, with no need to raise our voices to hear each other (something that is becoming a common issue at many restaurants with decibel levels seeming to exceed safe/comfortable limits).
Finally, the price - high marks here as well. Value for money - 100%. I would recommend going with an appetite as the dishes just seem to keep coming. As well, it is a nice mix of age groups. I can't imagine anyone feeling out of place, whether you are a 20 - 30 something or 60+.
Rosalinda is a gem.
An amazing spot to share a family meal! I went here for a birthday and had an excellent time. The food was outstanding, I was the only vegetarian with four carnivores and every single person left not only satisfied but stuffed to the gills! Our server was lovely and knowledgeable, and even the food runner/busser who dropped off our dessert menus had an excellent recommendation on something to try. (We tried them all, naturally.) Only hiccup was extremely minor, our server forgot a couple of drinks, but one made it to our table promptly when re-ordered, and the other (a tea with dessert) wasn't missed enough to warrant asking, and it wasn't charged on our bill. As a table full of people in the service industry, we all know that it happens sometimes, especially on a busy Saturday dinner service with a full section. In no way did it detract from our experience, which was 10/10. We'll definitely be back!
It was my first time experiencing VEGAN food and restaurant and tried winterlicious menu. For a person like me, you need to know what you are about to eat , which I didn’t get.
Your host should explain the menu and ingredients.
People were nice and polite, but that much to keep you happy. Understood, it was Friday night and restaurant was too crowded, when we asked to relocate us to a corner which there was empty table and nobody had booked it, our request got rejected. I assume , a vegetarian restaurant should be calm and quiet, so you can enjoy your different experience. Having said that, loud music is not what you want, but we got there.
Foods were so tasty. I had this thought, i may need to get food when i get home, as I was thinking of vegan food dont full me , but it did. Foods are rich and heavy. I am grateful for the meals and thanks to the chef.
I will try another time in less crowded time to have better experience, as the vegan food has got into me now.
I've had good meals at Rosalinda in the past—although, frankly, nothing worth their price point—but I won't be going back after our dinner for Winterlicious. The staff were rude and aloof, and the service was excruciatingly slow. It was a busier night, for sure—Winterlicious always is!—but the restaurant didn't seem understaffed so much as uninterested in the people there. They were clustered in corners laughing while we waited 20+ minutes for a round of waters. The portions were also...hilariously small. Ridiculous.
The waitress took over a half hour to prepare our bills.
The food was delicious and tasty. As a meat eater super impressed at how much flavour the food had. Service was a bit slow even though it was not busy but overall had a great time!
Great vegan 🌱 food. I’m not a vegan but being dairy free and gluten free, it’s nice to have great dining options that go beyond a salad or Poke bowl. I’ve been here before for brunch and dinner did not disappoint.
Perfect place, food and staff .
Food is always fresh and innovative
FANTASTIC!!!! The food, service and atmosphere were that of a 5 star restaurant, easily. No, you definitely do not have to be plant-based to recognize how delicious the food really is. Highly recommend.
For being gluten and dairy intolerant this place has a lot of delicious options. Great 5-6pm happy hour, too!
