A favourite with the townspeople, who use it variously as a watering-hole, The Rose & Crown is the place for a spot of lunch or a celebration dinner. Winning several national awards including being twice named in the Top Ten UK pubs in the last few years, The Rose & Crown also won Britain’s Best Brigade in 2017. We serve food all day, along with top-quality draught beers and have a carefully chosen wine list. Good food , excellent service would recommend to anyone . Shame that some people have to bring their dogs out but can’t stop them from barking all through lunch !!!

We had a lovely meal on Saturday night. 2 of us dined off the Christmas menu which was lovely, and 1 off three usual menu. The food was all really good. One of the starters hadn’t been heated proper,yet but this was dealt with quickly. Great atmosphere too.
