It’s our favorite French bistro in our area. Food is always delicious. Always consistent.
I think the staff and the chef go out of their way to make one feel comfortable. The food is excellent and inventive, with all fresh ingredients.
They have great heat lamps that allow for safe outside dining.
This new neighborhood restaurant is trying mightily. We sat outside under a tent warmed by a heater. The service was casual but helpful. The food was good bistro food; don't expect a fine French restaurant but my fish was well cooked.
Great service and food.
We are delighted the welcomed addition to Chevy Chase. The food was delicious and we hope to frequent this restaurant regularly!
This is basically the relocated, now-closed Petits Plats, with the same owner-chef and a similar menu, including very good boeuf bourguignon and duck confit. One suggested improvement is the wine list which, like a Petits Plats, is short and uninspired.
Great place for outdoor dining during this time. Food and drink is solid and staff are friendly.
We ate outside and they put a heater near the table. Lovely lunch with grandchildren.
Ordered take-out of squash soup....tasty but thin. I like it thick. Will be returning.
Very pleasant dinner on the porch. Made another reservation which I had to cancel due to the weather. Not ready to eat inside yet. Will be back soon. Bought delicious quiche at the market on Saturday and another dish I will try tonight. Will be there often. Hope heaters available to outdoor eating.
We have eaten at Rosemary twice and couldn’t be happier with the service, the food and the pleasant atmosphere. Rockfish (substitute for sea bass) on ratatouille base was delicious as was the chicken with red pepper, onions and rice. The lasagna was not your typical layered pasta, but a wonderful array of vegetables, pasta and cheese.
Delicious food, beautifully presented
Delicious French food. Great addition to the neighborhood. Good and affordable wines.
This new restaurant on upper Connecticut Ave NW is well worth a look! The outdoor tables are well spaced and appealing, although the occasional truck on the street can make conversation difficult.
Lunch offers typical sandwiches and salads, all well prepared. The dinner menu is more French, with a wider range of appetizers and main courses. The dumplings appear at both lunch and dinner--delicious!
Floating Island is a classic dessert that I rarely find; the egg white meringue is a yummy contrast with the creme anglaise sauce.
The foods exquisite, the service excellent! The best restaurant in the neighborhood.
Really good food and nice to be outside
This is a new restaurant that we very much hope survives the pandemic. We had ordered takeout a couple of times and chose it for our first restaurant meal in DC since March. We sat outdoors and had a great meal, and when we said it was our anniversary, our dessert came with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate calligraphy around the border of the plate. Lovely.
I love Rosemary. The food is simple and scrumptious. My favorites are the Gazpacho, fresh and interesting, and the Vegetable Napolean, which is a delicate stack of roasted vegetables that melt in your mouth.
Service is professional and accommodating.
The outside atmosphere is like eating in Paris!
I highly recommend Rosemary!
Wonderful little French bistro. Even the baguette at 9:30pm was oven fresh. Americanized French menu but still authentically great and delicious. Rosemary is our little secret gem.
A welcome replacement for Terrasol. We had four excellent and two so-so dishes. The excellent: dumplings (really good), steak and fries, rugola salad with chèvre crostini, and isle flotatante (excellent). So-so: calamari and mussels (like everywhere now, small and dry; broth rather tasteless). Wine list well priced but limited.
Love this place, so happy it moved to the neighborhood. One of the few places anywhere that knows how to make a rare steak.
As always, Rosemary Bistro was a delightful experience. From the food to the service, this is a neighborhood spot that we keep coming back for more. This time I tried the seafood risotto and it was fantastic!
Nice outdoor patio with adequate social distancing. The owner is very personable and friendly. Small kitchen with limited menu selection. Food was good though not great. Nice neighborhood cafe to meet friends.
I had Rosemary burger. Oh my god...it was amazing! The filet mignon melts in your mouth and the aroma of truffle oil...! I also had the beet salad and it was so pretty and unique. It’s almost like a little art on your dish. My friend had rockfish and she really enjoyed it, too. The food is excellent and the ambience is cozy. This will be on my “favorite restaurant list” for sure.
Great first experience at Rosemary Bistro. Authentic French food by Chef Frederique. We will be back often.
This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a while! We went for Sunday Brunch outside and it was very clean and safe. The service was excellent and our server was great. I ordered the salmon tartare, the mussels with cumin white curry sauce with shallots and my husband had the filet burger. The food was outstanding. The salmon was fresh, the sauce for the mussels was amazing and my husbands steak burger sandwich was the best I’ve had. We can’t wait to go back and we are so excited for this new edition to the neighborhood.
Had seen this going in during the main covid period, finally got to hit it for dinner this weekend and I was pretty impressed. We sat outside on their patio which was pretty well spaced out and the staff was very careful with covid prevention procedures. We started off with a very good house bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and the Tomato and Mozzarella salad and it was superb. Perfect blend of the oil and vinegar marinade and herbs. Tomatoes and Mozz were super. For dinner my partner enjoyed the salmon dish with shredded veg and it was good. I had mussels, I would only suggest wider bowls so more mussels could rest in the broth. Will definitely put this on the short list of places to visit for a french inspired dishes. Hopefully they will be open for brunches soon the brunch menu looks great!
