Brill !! tasty food! Amazing service and not too loud so we could have a nice conversation while listening to some chilled out music in the background. Would recommend this to all my friends and family
Have been here a few times lovely restaurant that is quite local always a lovely welcome.
Perfect as always! Great food. Fabulous owner. Good value
Stunning restaurant, friendly staff, great choice of food, good selection of drinks, food was amazing
Great food, service and surroundings. Felt like I was on holiday. This was the first time we have been to this restaurant and we will certainly be visiting again.
Fabulous food, great atmosphere! Really enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone.
Advertised three courses at reduced rate was told stopped at 7pm advertised till 9pm did get the teduced rate after arguing but very small portions same sweet menu after visiting three times said all that but would still go again food tastes lovely
False advertisement at its best. The large sign outside states Tues-Friday 5-9pm £14.95 2 courses. Once you are seated the menu states until 7pm and this was confirmed by the waitress who had a very unhelpful attitude. Food average, service not great but a nice little place for a date night
This was our 4th visit to Rosie's and we have previously thoroughly enjoyed it.
However, this visit was somewhat disappointing. The service was extremely slow - nearly an hour to get our starters, and then about another 45 minutes before our main course arrived. My meal was very good, but my wife had ordered the chicken skewers which were dried out and tough and she was very disappointed with her meal. To make matters worse, we were then charged for a drink that we did not have. We will give it another chance in case this was just a blip, but they really need to get more organised and make sure that they are able to keep up a reasonable standard of service, even when it's busy. We had really looked forward to our meal out but on this occasion came away quite disappointed.
We arrived at roses 3adults and toddler in a pram went in nobody acknowledged us at all we stood there for at least 10 min then we had to approach them to ask about our table .I would have glady walked out but was cold outside and the toddler was starving.they then cleaned a table for us another 5mins (it should Ave been ready after all we had booked and the table was empty).sat down nobody asked us did we want a drink or anything just gave us the menus. Then my daughter had to ask do we get our own drinks from the bar or what.finally got drinks .the food arrived I had the lamb which I must admit was good.my hubby and daughter had the steak they said it was to dry .we ordered sweets and a liqueur coffee, they brought the sweets thought coffee wouldn't be long they had finished the sweets still waiting for coffee at this point our grandson was getting quite restless ,so I went to tell bar and told them to forget it ,they had forgot it.No won't be going again the service was atrocious will be going back to were we usually go either la ca va or sumat to ate .
Food very tasty, service good and very reasonably priced bill
Loved the set menu variety
Room was just a tad on the fully side but overall a lovely night with good friends
Although we arrived 10 mins early we didn't get our food for over an hr. during our wait I had to ask the waitress for drinks twice. The service was very poor. I didn't like my main meal (chicken in a wine sauce). Overall I wish we'd have stayed at home. I don't like paying for a meal I could have cooked. Ether myself.
Fabulous evening with good friends.. Lovely food, great atmosphere especially Lewis Roberts the young man on piano... Made our night even more special...
We keep going back again and again with each of our visitors and all have been impressed that it is a gem on our doorstep. It takes us five minutes to walk to Rosies. We love the beautiful setting. A roaring fire on a cold night added to the comfort.
Four of us had dinner on Saturday. The live music was unexpected but welcome. The new extension is an attractive area to eat but they need some wedges to stop the tables rocking. The food was good. We had starters, mains and some desserts and overall were happy with what we ate and thought it reasonably priced. The wine and beer were also well priced and pleasant enough. As other have noted there needs to be an improvement in service. The staff were pleasant enough but not very efficient - forgetting some things, bringing an unopened bottle of wine and having nothing to open it with etc. They could do with some basic training and at busy times with someone in charge who can ensure all is going well. Later on as it quietened, the owner was on hand and seemed very nice but we think he was tied up with the kitchen earlier so needs someone front of house who he can rely on. If we lived closer we'd go again but doubt it's worth the trip from Horwich.
Great meal and atmosphere to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Staff couldn’t have been better.
Impromptu date night with my husband... Booked on open table.. Completely blown away by the interior, fabulous food, welcoming authentic atmosphere, just booking again for friends night out... 😍 😍 😍
second time we have been. We absolutely love it. Wish we had gone sooner
This restaurant has a great owner who has invested considerably in the premises recently. I dined here for the first time following the enlargement of the premises recently. I felt the front of house staff seemed to be struggling as the volume of customers are now far greater than previously. The result of this mean't we had our first course before our drinks had arrived. The staff kept apologising about the wait but it took a good 25 mins before we got our drinks. Following that everything was smooth, the food was as good as ever and there was a good feel to the restaurant.
I really hope this restaurant succeeds, my two recommendations are. Bring someone in who knows what they are doing to run the front of the restaurant, the owner is in the kitchen. Secondly I would suggest the menu is a little tired and could do with refreshing, particularly the steaks which could be improved.
Good wine and tasty food. Service good and nice atmosphere with open kitchen with log burner, will go again.
Another fine meal here at Rosie’s, celebrating my wife’s birthday with friends.
I went of a midweek evening to meet up with a couple of friends for a catch-up, we weren't looking for anything special but we like good food. This was a quaint place where there was nothing to complain about with the food, but neither was it anything exceptional it was just good food cooked well. The service was ok until who I think was the owner came along who couldn't do enough for us. He made sure we were happy with everything . It would be providing amazing service if all staff stepped up to his level. Prices were reasonable.
I would go again but not necessarily go out of my way to do so.
Thanks for another great evening! Lovely food 😃
We chose a bottle of wine, ( amarone), but had Barolo opened at the table.
Only on realising it wasn’t what we ordered , I asked for our original choice. We were then told it wasn’t available, so we chose a different one ( Rioja) Also not available . Our 3rd choice ( Ribera) also wasn’t available, so we gave up and drank water.
The food menu looked very enticing, and the restaurant is decorated freshly & is very appealing. However, we were seated in a very bright area, and wouldn’t preferred more muted lighting.
I think the restaurant has a lot of potential, and if they can have the wine list sorted out, I would go again .
Fantastic meal truly authentic Mediterranean food , varied menu with reasonable prices, great service, friendly staff, will definitely return.
Rosie's is a fantastic place to eat out. Plenty of parking space, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, and best of all great freshly cooked good quality food. One to visit regularly as such good value on all meals but especially steak nights.
Another great meal with authentic Mediterranean dishes, great ambience and good service all served with a smile.
Zero rating as after an 1hr 25 mins wait and still no food we left staff didnt know what they were doing we wasnt even offered nibbles. Wouldnt bother
The night we went they had a shortage of staff, but will go again can’t judge on one nights experience and it was Saturday probably their busiest night we will try mid week next time
Had a fabulous time as usual, whatever the occasion. Took a friend who is gluten free and they was very accomadating but would suggest if you need gluten free option to advise at booking. Very reasonably priced. Good gin menu! Only criticism was no Australian or South African Chardonnay offered!! But pleny others to choose from!! Thankyou Nick & staff for another great night. Look forward to seeing you again soon!!
I booked the table for family birthday a child and an adult. The food took a minimum of 1 1/2 hour to come and the child was kept waiting the longest. And whilst the food was good the service was poor, the serving staff were not organized or attentive to the tables, there was no explanation from the waitress staff about waiting times. The bar staff 1 person was also slow and whilst paying the bill the person couldn't add up properly and nearly undercharged on a split bill.
If we hadn't been before an knew how much better the service normally is, we wouldn't have go back based on that service. The service staff e.g. front of house need to scrub up on customer care skill, being attentive to the tables they are supporting and communicating with the customers.
It was disappointing that all we had requested on the open table booking was a happy birthday song when bringing the sweets, that didn't happy so it was fortunate for us that the child member of the part fell asleep without ordering a sweet as the food took that long to arrive birthday child was asleep and the adult who's birthday it was just put it down to a lack of organization on the part of the restaurant.
The food was really good but the very long wait spoilt the evening. Also, the waitresses are very inexperienced, they didn't offer black pepper or parmesan with pasta meal. We asked for them but the parmesan came in a little pot without a spoon and the black pepper came from another table, just a small sprinkler pot.
Me and my partner visited rather late on new years eve, the food was absolutely fantastic, every bite an absolute pleasure. My only slight niggle was the 25 minute for our welcome drinks. Will 100% be returning.
Excellent food and great choice for couples , families
We were sat in the new extended part of the restaurant which I felt lacked any ambience. It was very clinical, white walls and bright lights. On the night there was only 2 staff waiting on and this wasn’t enough, it took 20 minutes for someone to clear our starter plates. Service was a bit slow all night but that wasn’t the fault of the staff there just wasn’t enough. Food was average, not enough meat on the starter kebabs and the paella was burnt. Don’t think we will return.
Great food, great service, good value for money. Can't recommend enough!
Excellent food and service as always. It has now also been very tastefully extended. My favourite is the jerk chicken
This is a brilliant restaurant with the most excellent food to choose from. Have now been several times and have never had a bad meal and will continue to make reservations and enjoy the food and atmosphere.!!!
Fabulous evening. Never disappointed. Staff are fun and extremely efficient. Love the food and will be back.
Really good friendly service. Excellent food and good value for money.
