Very special. Delicious and interesting taster menu. No problem adapting for pescetarians.
Really great food and friendly service, lunchtime visit so went for a la carte menu. Will definitely return to try the tasting menu which looked amazing!
The service was excellent with courses well explained. Advice was given on the choice of wine, this was well informed and very helpful. The food was exceptional, both in presentation and flavour. The whole experience was very special. We would certainly have no hesitation in reccomending Roski and look forward to returning ourselves.
Third time at Roski and the second time we have had the tasting menu. Absolutely amazing as usual with each course being fabulous. All the staff are lovely, welcoming and friendly and the chef is a genius. Can't wait until next time.
Exceptional food, quirky and delicious. Enjoyed every course, a wonderful long lunch!
This was the 5th time I've been to Roski for lunch and every time the food has been absolutely top notch and the service excellent.
Cannot fault this place. My husband and I went for the tasting dinner menu and I’m so glad we did. Easily the best meal we’ve ever had and the place itself is gorgeous. Staff are friendly and quick to talk you through the menu as you go (it can be tough to remember what’s next when you’re nearly 10 dishes in!).
We’ll be back here for sure.
Another fabulous meal ..........never fails to delight.
Took friends with us who cannot wait to return ........
Roski rocks 💕🥂
My wife and I enjoyed our recent lunch at Roski. The food was very tasty and well presented. While I did not expect a huge choice I think an either/or on the three courses for lunch would be better. My wife does not particularly like guinea fowl which was the main course although the way it was cooked was excellent. It was interesting that a party on another table who were also on the set lunch we offered sea bream for their main course which we were not. Obviously this is fine dining and taste is paramount but the portions are on the small side eg with the guinea fowl only one small potato was served and I thought an additional one might have been available. The staff were very pleasant and were not constantly fussing as we have encountered elsewhere. I also liked the fact that we were not rushed. It is difficult to make to much comment about noise and ambience as only two other tables were taken. Overall an enjoyable experience.
Great meal as always, the atmosphere was nice and quiet. Went for the tasting menu which was fantastic (beetroot bolognese that tastes of beef go figure)
The set lunch is excellent value. I was in too much of a hurry for the a la carte (allow 90 min) or the tasting menu (allow twice that). I shan’t make the same mistake again! My only quibble was the background music, which a little too intrusive for my taste. But the experience was otherwise so excellent that they’re forgiven. Well worth a detour to visit. Highly recommended.
An excellent meal and service. Lots of distinctive flavours and memorable dishes.
We visited for dinner after treasuring an earlier Guardian review from some months prior. All of the food was excellent, but not cheap at £65 per person for a la carte. Wines were also good and similarly expensive. We had only 2 "fusspot" comments:- 1. Given the comments raging about recycling it seemed churlish to arrive with bottled water instead of tap. We should at least have been offered the choice. 2. It's a shame that you can't see operations taking place in the kitchen although this might only be a "nice to have" but the dining room was full of the smell of cooking which was a little overpowering. Maybe better extractors are required!
Would like to return and try the lunch menu at a mere £25 per head.
Food was outstanding, nice relaxed atmosphere and a great ambience. 10/10
Outstanding! Loved every moment, you have to go to this place- superb!
Perfect, perfect, perfect, Staff lovely Rose a little star
Great food, great service, slightly noisy guests to our right, but only a small aside
This is food and a restaurant deserving of a Michelin star. It is not a cheap night out but the skill level is high and if you have ever wondered what a top flight kitchen can produce this would be a great place to start. Easily the best meal we have had in the North West in the last 20 years.
Wonderful and special eating experience. A varied and interesting tasting menu. We were impressed with how the different courses complimented each other. A carefully balanced mix of flavour, indulgence, theatre and humour.
Absolutely fabulous food and service, can't wait to go back.
An excellent evening.Thank you.
We enjoyed tasting all the different foods and the wines.
The food was cooked to perfection and was both innovative and utterly delicious. There was theatre, attentive service, an excellent and imaginative wine list and it all added up to one of the best dining experiences in Liverpool, if not, the best.
Food and service was of a very high standard. Very pleasant evening
Amazing food! We had the taster menu and were completely taken up with each and every plate! Highly recommended and will be making more than one visit!
Most amazing dining experience we have had in a very long while.
Food was immense. The best I’ve had in Liverpool but obviously that comes at a premium. For a special occasion, the taster menu is fantastic. The lunch deal is something you could look to go for if wanting to go on the regular. Either way, you should go here if you like the best of what locality has to offer.
At first our waiter attentive but as it filled up it seemed to be a bit overwhelming for them. On 5 occasions we had to look round for a wine top up (I’m not a moaning old divy, they just don’t set your wine at your table for you). Reckon we ended up being in there 30mins longer than we ought to because of this. This won’t dissuade us from going again as the 2 times previous it was 10/10.
Again, food was immense.
Bovril butter and sourdough ❤️❤️❤️
Posh Big Mac - holy sh*t!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I’ll refrain from posting pics because it will ruin the surprise when you see it unfold before you.
We had the Taster Menu and the Wine Flight. Food was fantastic as was the wine. Food and wine complimented each other perfectly. Food on another level and the service was fantastic. Loved every minute of it.
The food and service here is excellent. We had the full tasting menu with an aperitif (local gin which the staff were very knowledgeable and passionate about) and a bottle of Chilean red (that we were pre-warned was a lot lighter than usual, however it teamed up with the food brilliantly as it didn’t overpower or compete with the dishes). From start to finish the experience was incredible. The dishes were timed perfectly, presented beautifully, were consistently tasty and full of surprises. We can’t stop talking about the two desserts at the end that blew our minds and the langoustine. Oh and the red cabbage bolognese! Just wow. Thank you for the experience Anton, Rose and staff. You’re all amazing.
Special birthday lunch
Did not disappoint... food was amazing
Service very attentive and
Loved it ...will return .Thankyou
The place is excelent, but I think still too expensive.
In example: is a price for a Michelin star when is not. However is the best restaurant have been in Liverpool.
It makes a pleasant change to eat in a restaurant rather than a temple to a cook’s ego which so many have become. We want to enjoy our food and the atmosphere rather than nibble in reverential silence. Thus the simple comfortable room and the warm human welcome are a great start. The front of house staff are superb; friendly and informal while skilled and informed. And the playlist is the greatest. The food? Of course this is wonderful cooking and we are of the school of Jay Rayner gusto rather than over-subtlety, which is why we chose the a la carte menu. Lots of praise is due. But we do have one reservation: the ‘snacks ‘ were far more than amuses bouches; they were ‘big’ in all senses. The amount was a course in itself, and the very strong flavours overwhelmed or reflected what was to come and detracted from it. The now apparently legendary dishes like red cabbage bolognese and the carrots were worthy of all the praise they receive. Thanks for making our anniversary so enjoyable.
Fabulous eating experience. Great service.
That's a wedding anniversary to remember.
Many thanks to all at roski, s.
What a fantastic experience. The food was amazing, we loved everything that was put in front of us. It was too difficult to chose a favourite, but the red cabbage bolognase was something else.
The service was exceptional, and the customer service second to none. We were celebrating an anniversary and the gestures made by the staff and restaurant made our dining companions feel very special.
Can’t wait to return.
See Tikusmikus on TripAdvisor. But in one word 'Delicious!'
Fantastic experience at Roski, we would highly recommend a dining experience here. 5 stars from me 😁
Absolutely perfect. All we expected and more besides.
excellent lunch! good service and ambience - will revisit. Only question - £5.00 for a single espresso????
What a treat! We will always remember our daughter's 21st at Roski. The tasting menu with the accompanying wines was outstanding. The staff were knowledgeable and just normal! It is culinary art but not twee or stupid. best place in town!
We attended Roski for my partners birthday, it was extremely overpriced for what we were given. In addition to this, a 12% service charge was added in to the bill. Due to the lighting, there was zero atmosphere- we as though we were rushed through the courses as the restaurant closes at 11- even though there are reservations up until 9:30- they don’t cater for this at all. Overall, completely underwhelmed. At the time of the booking, there was a ‘special requests’ box, whereby I wrote ‘birthday’, yet this was not acknowledged even slightly.
Excellent food and good service made the night truly worth waiting for.
