Rossopomodoro - Swiss Cottage
We went to this restaurant on Saturday. We were given a table really quickly as it was not busy.
We proceeded to order some drinks. I ordered some still water which was poured out into a glass for me.
When I went to drink the water, the glass really reeked and I complained to the waiter and asked him to smell the glass. Not sure if he understood but he went away and brought another empty glass. What I noticed was that the restaurant was drying glasses using a cloth. I would bet my house that this cloth was dirty and making the glasses smelly. Plenty of bacteria I bet too.
The new glass did not seem to be smelly so I accepted it.
Food was ok, we had pizzas which were ok. I prefer crispy pizzas.
When the bill came, we were charged in full for the water. I complained to the waiter and he went and spoke to his manager. It was very poor form to expect a customer to pay for something not received. Waiter then proceeds to come to the table and pour a further glass of water!!
Fair enough it now means I have been given the water I am being charged for but no apology about the dirty glasses or inconvenience.
I paid and left but would never return. Some training required in service and how to treat paying customers. And some hygiene training required - stop using that dirty cloth. Disgusting.
I booked this restaurant partly because of the vegan pizza option, but also because there was a 241 cocktail deal. However, despite nothing being stated on the literature, we were told we were only allowed one 241 cocktail deal per person in case of intoxication! The manager eventually accepted that the terms and conditions do not say that the deal is limited in such a way, and agreed to allow us another drink, but instead of sending our server back to us, stood behind our table, and gave the server a telling off, in full ear shot of customers!
The food was tasty, but I think I'll stick to wine next time.
Poor service, coffee served cold twice. No atmosphere especially as it was a weekend.
We had to wait for our mains for about an hour (there were 3 of us). When they came mine was cold. It was replaced but this meant we didn't eat together and I had to rush mine to get to the cinema on time.
The restaurant didn't charge for the mains but it was still disappointing as the food was generally good.
Arrived Saturday afternoon, greeted well very friendly staff. Good service, prices reasonable, quality of food and portions ample. Would recommend it to everybody, don’t be put off by the restaurant in a shopping centre.
Service was good, waitress attentive.
We all had pizzas, some of the pizza bases were quite doughy but toppings were tasty.
I am very disappointed and disgusted with the food and service. We booked a table for 2 on Tuesday evening the 14th of May for my birthday dinner with my partner, first we ordered 2 cocktails very nice and 1 battle of sparkling water that we received after 45minutes, following starters 2 bruschettas and we only received 1 and had to wait 20 minutes for the second one, the calamari starter with baccalà were very overcooked and extremely small portions, our mean courses "paccheri pasta with mussels and something else" were very undercooked totally hard and for the second mean courses see brass filet Mediterranean style were very very smelly like expired finish so we asked for the bill ( £ 111.80 ) and left hungry this restaurant.
Very lovely service and food ! Would recommend to anyone
Food needs better seasoning and more generosity to balance flavours eg gnocchi dish needed more cheese. Annoyingly loud music in the restaurant and the toilets - no need! Service friendly though pensive, even when the restaurant was barely half full.
Unfortunately, i did not enjoy my evening. I was out with friends celebrating my Birthday.
I am Celiac, allergic to seafood and don't eat Pork , even though they have a gluten free menu the options were very limited especially as i am also allergic to seafood and the other options had ham in it.
Without being rude and this is a personal choice, when I go out i would prefer not to eat vegetarian options.
The starter was good buffalo Capresse, (Vegetarian)
Main course was Gnocchi in a beef bolognese sauce but the Gnocchi was hard and the portion was tiny.
I would have been happier if they could have provided a gluten free pasta with the bolognese sauce but this option was not available.
of the group of 5, only 2 enjoyed their pizza and i don't believe the other 2 enjoyed their meals either.
Unfortunately, we won't be visiting Rossopomodoro again.
The food was nice enough and there's plenty of choice on the money. However, it's far too expensive for what it is. You can get equally 'authentic' Italian pizza at Franco Manca and equally good-quality pizza at Pizza Express.
Extremely rude waitress, generally awful service, inefficient framework and unnecessarily deep-fried food.
Fantastic quality pizza. Efficient, friendly and attentive pre-cinema service.
We were here fairly early, at 6.30 on a Friday night, and having pre-booked online were given a quiet table for four in a corner. Having recently been in another branch of this restaurant in a large department score in town where the food was so-so, we were delighted with the food and choice of drinks. The service was also very good, attentive without being over the top. After eating we were not pressured into leaving despite the fact that by then the restaurant was pretty full. A good night all round. Thanks.
Great pizza once again. Was a Saturday evening but wasn't too noisy. Staff were very friendly.
Quality of food is reasonable but the service is poor, waitresses are impatient and rude.
Please scrutinise your bill which includes carbon footprint levy, which is fine but the customer should be consulted before this is automatically added to the bill.
Although not bad, the food was bland and not enough in the way of meat options. The children's menu was limited and didn't really cater for our 6yr old child.
The cost of the meal was reasonable, however a service charge was added without us being notified. Which generally I wouldn't mind too much, but the service was slow and the fact there was only 2 adults seemed a bit of a cheek to add £10 for not a lot.
On the plus side, the surroundings were nice.
Food was good but staff were lacklustre and service was poor. Not sure I'll go back to this restaurant.
Amazing food and very authentic cooking
Absolutely Fabulous restaurant, loved the different pizza bases and the rest of the menu was really spot on!

Pizza’s are always excellent here. We have done their pizza making masterclass so we know exactly what goes on! Pasta is not absolutely brilliant here but we only come here for the pizza anyway. Staff are always great and good atmosphere.
We particularly loved the pizza - and it was great fun to see the big pizza wood-fired pizza oven.
Excellent gluten-free and vegan pizzas. Highly recommended.
Best gluten-free pizza I have had. Really tasty, well cooked and delicious. Really recommend this restaurant.
good pizza...authentic...quick meal......good taste
Warm welcome. Delicious food and really friendly and kind waiter. Great atmosphere.
We made a New Years Eve reservation via OpenTable for 5 for a 9:45PM seating. We arrived at the restaurant a bit early, only to find that the kitchen had closed at 9PM.
The manager was very apologetic, but said there was nothing he could do; the kitchen staff had already departed.
This obviously threw a major wrench into our New Years Eve plans, and we had to scramble to find a place to eat. Very unsatisfactory, to say the least.
All this is not necessarily the fault of the restaurant, but it indicates a major disconnect between the restaurant and the OpenTable reservation system.
All the times at Rossopomodoro (O2 Centre) is great. High quality food, awesome service and people! Absolutely reccomanded!
