Rossopomodoro - Wandsworth
Overall disappointing, not really busy, waiter was sending a whatsapp voice message while walking on the floor, manager left without handover the discount we supposed to have, pizza is getting more empty every time.
Food was great and service was outstanding!
Portions did not represent value for money. £18 for a piece of salmon and a small portion of Aubergine is not good value. Pasta with anchovies had only one anchovy per serving.
Lovely food, helpful staff and great cocktails. Would definitely recommend.
They had no record of our booking so weren’t expecting us and put us on a table far too big for us. While our waiter was nice, the main courses arrived as we were getting our starters. We asked for them to take them back and keep it warm but the mains were cold when they arrived the second time. The mains were also brought out the second time while two of us were still eating our starters. It all felt very rushed and, while the staff were nice enough, the food was a bit disappointing. Won’t necessarily avoid it in the future, it’s just not near the top of the list which is a shame.
Arrived for our booked table 1 hour 30 min before we have a movie booked in cinema nearby. Upon arrival we waited 10 min at the door for any staff to approach us. Once approached we werw told there are no tables at the moment sit down and wait. Waited another 10min and were told to wait another 15 min. Stood up and left at that point. What is the point of taking reservations if you then expect people to wait additional 30+ minutes to be seated? Very bad service and planning.
Very good food that recalls the traditional Neapolitan Cuisine with high quality products.
Very kind the staff.
We booked a table but it wasn’t ready when we arrived. Staff were busy despite the restaurant only being about a quarter full. We had to wait about ten minutes to be seated and then the table wasn’t ready. We had to stand while the waiter dragged tables together for us. The waiting staff were friendly and knowledgable but too busy to be attentive. The food was not brought to the table together despite being ready. Two members of our party waited an extra five minutes for their food while we were waiting to start eating. Their meals were ready on the serving area just no staff to serve them. We had to wait a long time between courses too. It was a shame because the food was lovely and the building and decore is great. The staff were trying their best, just let down by numbers.
Two of us just had pizza. Very tasty and fresh. Would deffo come again(staying at Premier opposite really convenient.)
The effort behind the dough making comes through on the quality of the food
Normally it was good but this time as it was very busy my pasta was cold and my husbands calzone was under cook. They made an excuse as calzone is didfixult to make but it’s burnt outside and sought and under cook inside. Which is not the standard I expected.
Very disappointed this time.
Pleasant staff and good quick service, although we were not in a rush but appreciated.
Food by British italian standard was fresh and tasty.
Our food was served to us 45mins after ordering. The pizza was stodgy. Salad was very nice and kids meal were nice too. Not going there again.
This will be the last time we visit Rossopomodoro sadly. The service was fairly poor because it was very difficult to understand the waiting staff and they don’t apppear to understand much either. I also don’t really rate the children being brought already used colouring mats to colour in - half way through the meal. The food was absolutely appalling; the pasta dishes tasted like they’d been boiled in brine - surely any chef should tast me what’s leaving his kitchen and the chicken salad was little more than a plate of iceberg lettuce.
The manager did at least take the two pasta dishes off the bill but we won’t be returning again.
A really poor experience.
Always having a pizza there but this time had a pasta dish. Ordered veggie cannellini and it was nothing special. Made same at home and tasted even better, as put more veggies. Here I got pasta (looked like lasagne pasta not cannellini) few pieces of egg plant and simple tomatoe souce. Will not order again. Tried pizza though. Been there 3 times for pizza, ordered same pizza every time, and every time got a pizza with mix of different toppings, still good pizza.
Good as usual, it is a really good deal if you want to have a pizza without making a mess at home. Easy, local, good.
I love rossopomodoro and return often. This is only my second experience at this particular branch and while the food was good, the service was utterly shambolic. The tables were so close together that we had to ask people to move so we could get to our table or to use the bathrooms. Our water was forgotten and we had to ask three times. We were brought the wrong pizza and it was replaced but there was no apology and then we were brought food that wasn’t for us. At the end we asked to split the bill and told the server how much to put on each card but she put £10 more on one than the other. I’m sure it was a one off but it was absolute chaos!
Very friendly team it’s been great to be there. Will definitely come back!
We got the "free-flowing" prosecco deal which was definitely not flowing. Our glasses were often empty and when we did get some prosecco it tasted cheap. The food wasn't great either and I had to leave my spaghetti as it was under cooked. When we first got there (7pm) it wasn't that busy but it did pick up. Despite how many other diners there were, the staff never seemed to be paying attention and instead were huddled together chatting. I did not enjoy the experience and will not be returning.
Have been here a few times. Great food, friendly service and lovely cocktails
