Whilst the menu changes frequently firm favourites include Sausage Gnochetti, Pea Gnudi, Calabrian Hanger steak, Sasso Chicken and Whole Roasted Seabream. A 2 course Presto menu is offered every weekday between 6-7pm whilst on Sundays an all-inclusive ‘Britalian’ roast dinner is offered for just £15.
Over 50 wines are available on a list curated by Ruth Spivey and the bar counts home-made cellos amongst it’s signature serves.
Discovered the restaurant from TV show Catastrophe. It was lovely visually, the service was great and the food was absolutely delicious.
I have visited this restaurant before but this time was well below par. Our ticket was missed in the kitchen so we waited far ages fro our food. The starters were ok but my pasta in kale was really nothing more than exactly that. The pasta was under cooked and the kale puree was overwhelmingly flavourless and there was way too much of it. Disappointingly, out of five main courses, one being vegetarian and one fish, one was sold out at only 14:30 leading me to wonder what would be served for the rest of the day. With no lamb being available I opted for chicken with nduja and ricotta. Both the ricotta and nduja, however, appeared to be absent from the dish. The vegetables were under seasoned and under cooked and to be honest I kinda gave up hope from then.
Meal recommended by the waitress was a let down.
It didn’t have the usual pleasant atmosphere that it normally has which was a shame as we were taking friends there for the first time.
Really unimpressed. Have been twice before, but not in the last year. Quality of everything has really dropped since last here.
Food was bland and moderately warm. Service was sloppy - waitresses seemed uninterested and talking over us to people at other tables. Loudly interrupting our conversation to deliver meals to the wrong table.
Over priced for quality of food and service. Don’t recommend, although as the place was half empty on a Friday night, suspect I’m late to know this.

This place eta better every time I go
This restaurant is very well run, with delightful staff, proper Italian food - much more authentic than the average imitation in London, and with a good wine-list and reasonable prices. It was great for after a show at the Arcola Theatre, and if you are ever in Dalston, it is certainly worth a visit. Highly recommended.
Brilliant service great cocktails pasta is delicious
Lovely local spot that we came to for a birthday meal. The food was delicious, the service was great and they even put a candle in our cannolis to enhance the birthday celebrations! Would definitely recommend.
The menu was great. Just enough to choose From without being overwhelmed. The blood orange and prosecco was lovely! Would definitely recommend it to friends, im already planning my next trip!
My wife and I enjoyed a lovely meal there on a buzzy saturday night. We shared about 8 dishes and each one was outstanding and simply delicious. The atmosphere was great with a couple of large tables in for birthdays having a great evening along with groups and couples casually dining out. The service was polite, quick and un intrusive which was just what we wanted.
We had really delicious meal and absolutely loved the small plates. Also the gnudi was light and fluffy and delightful. Found the menu a little basic in the main course options but what we ordered was very good. Service was good at the start but at the end waited a long time to get attention to get a desert menu or more drinks. Had to call a waiter over in the end so a slight disappointing end to the evening.
Great Sunday grub
The food was delicious, but the service was very slow and un-attentive, we had to wave a waiter down multiple times to chase drink/food orders. Unfortunately this is a big turn off for me, shame because the setting and food is lovely.

The menu is promising but the food quality wasn't there... every dish was overly spicy, even dishes that shouldn't have been like the steak!
Excellent service, ambience and food!
It was a nice surprise to find a decent Italian restaurant. When we were told chefs were English we were a bit sceptic but it turned out they knew how to make italian food. Impressed that they hand made bread & pasta. Sauce & flavour were nice too. My Italian friend gave a thumb up so that’s a good sign.
I love the space and vibe in Rotorino and have been quite a few times. It feels a bit secret and is definitely hit the nail on the head of feeling classy but not intimidating. The drinks (good wine list, great cocktails), starters (firsts) and deserts are amazing here. The pasta dishes are good but not outstanding. The last couple if times I've been I've not been bolded over by the main courses. The staff are really friendly and helpful and you can definitely hang out here for a while. It's worth a visit.
Lovely place in an overly trendy location that actually doesn't have that many relaxed, classy eating options. Great value for money. A lovely night out.

I am a regular customer of Rotorino because its food is very good and the people who serve are superb. Gloria is lovely. I like Sundays' lunch because the restaurant is not full and quite peaceful. I find the regional dinners a bit too busy but I go because the food is good.

It's one of our favourites and is consistently good making it really reliable. It's really five star but unsurprisingly on a Friday night it's busy so the staff are too hence service 4/5. Quieter nights 5/5.
The food was lovely, the wine was also very nice considering we ordered from the cheaper end of the menu but the staff and the decor are great. Very friendly and attentive waiting and bar staff and also knowledgeable about what they're serving.
Great buzzy vibe on a Saturday night. Food and service were great, as was the house wine, which is really reasonably priced. Everything was delicious but the caponata and pork ragu rotini were particularly outstanding. Will def come again!
I went for my birthday. Great place, managed by British but excellent Italian food (and I am Italian!). The pasta with nduja was excellent, really spicy. Meat tasty and cooked well. Cocktails had an interesting kick. Ambiance comfortable and trendy. Friendly staff, good price.

I went to Rotorino several times. The cuisine and the value have worsened in the last year, I have to admit.
We had the gnocchetti with sausage and fennel, the meatballs, the roasted peppers and two desserts. The "small" portion of gnocchetti (9.50£!) was barely an entrée, the sauce nothing remarkable. The meatballs were floating in a puddle of an acidic tomato sauce, all they tasted of was cheese and basil. The peppers were good. Desserts were good too. We had a drink each (2 people). 35£ each for that? I don't think so.

Starter was nice. Aperitif drinks were overly expensive as was the rather average bottle of wine which cost £30, and could be bought in Waitrose for £6.99.
Three of us had lamb main course. This was nice.
One had sole, which unfortunately had not been gutted, and we ended up viewing a bowl of really disgusting entrails which was a mega turn off for the rest of us!
On mentioning it to waitress, she said she'd tell the Chef and that was that!
Desserts were ok.
For what we got I felt that £170 total was a lot, and an apology for the dodgy sole would have been nice!
Enjoyed an evening meal here. Starting at the bar with engaging cocktail waiter then at our table with charming young waiter - just out of drama college.
Food was tasty though portions quite modest.

This was my third time at Rotorino but my first 'Roastorino' (their Sunday lunch). The starters (watermelon salad, nettle ravioli, spinach gnudi, aubergine & tomato reginette) were all delightful and very much in keeping with the high standard I'd come to expect. My roast lamb shoulder was sadly a bit on the dry/over-cooked and fatty side while the roast cod was reported as a bit plain. The potatoes & roast fennel on the side were very tasty though, as were the puds (choc cake, salted caramel ice cream). Shame that the main event wasn't quite up to the standard of the other (more traditionally Italian) courses and that the service was a little slow but it was a chilled Sunday vibe, terrific value, delicious starters, sides and puddings and a lovely environment for a catch-up with friends.
Loved it -- excellent service, delicious food and wine and lovely setting made for a brilliant evening.
