We've teamed up with farmers who are passionate about growing great produce while respecting the environment. Fruit and vegetables will be come directly from biodynamic Brambletye in Sussex, and from Organiclea, a cooperative in East London.
In the center of the room is our bar which is reservable for guests dining with us over the age or 18, or 16 if accompanied by an adult. The rest of our seating is a mixture of standalone and communal tables which can be be converted into a semi private area for up to 10 to 12 guests. It was a great Ottolenghi experience. They serve the best eggs Florentine you'll ever have!
It was sensational — Everything was delicious and creative! Lots of amazing combinations of flavors!
Food was great but despite prebooking a table and arriving early we were asked to vacate our table less than an hour after arrival ( the booking info said table would be available for 90 mins) so no desert and felt our custom not really valued
The variety of vegetarian food was excellent and the flavours delicious and exciting. The restaurant looked beautiful and the staff were lovely. Really enjoyed the experience.
Things that could be better:
- more info on origins of the ingredients - e.g. are the vegetables organic, local?
- reception was a bit confused - waiting for person at counter and then someone else came up but just said talk to person at counter
- noise levels were OK as we were in the corner but seemed high in main part of restaurant
- some of the dishes seemed a bit mean e.g. 6-8 sprigs of broccolli
Best brunch I've had in London, will be going back a lot!
Second experience at Rovi and the service was dreadful. We arrived late so we enquired with the waiter who placed us whether we would have limited time at the table. We were told that it would be fine and if the table was needed they would move us to a different table so we could take our time. After the main, a waiter came to give us our bill saying that the table was needed. We asked him whether we could order dessert and he said that there was no dessert for brunch... not nice being thrown out of the restaurant this way!
Thank you for nice stay and surprise normy boyfriend’s birthday. It was awesome! :)
We've been wanting to dine at ROVI for a while and the experience did not disappoint. Every dish was delicious and the service impeccable, with great recommendations. And the miso caramels were unforgettable. We will definitely be back.
Lovely atmosphere, amazing food, very attentive staff. It was my birthday and my desert had a little Happy Birthday message on it :-)
It looks like a very nice place for a girlie catch up. The restaurant was filled with family gatherings and groups of girls.
Lovely food and nice drinks as well. So nice to go to a restaurant and find the majority of the choices veggie - no problem in finding anything nice to eat here!
The ambiance and service were good but we were oddly let down by the food - dishes were either bland or had delicate ingredients overpowered by batter. The desserts were good though.
Really enjoyed the food at this lovely casual dining experience. The lobster crumpets and celeriac shwarama are a must. A little disappointed with the mixed vegetable grill.
Delicious food & very nice service. The room is strikingly decorated and the staff were very welcoming. A really interesting menu - delicious!
The room was very pleasant, lighting level flattering but sufficient to read the menu by (!) & tables placed to give conversational privacy but maintain the feeling of conviviality & community. Our waiter was truly excellent on the wine list - when we didn't like any of our first three wine choices, he brought another three to taste & we found a beauty we were very happy with. The food was outstanding - inventive, highly tasty and satisfying to the eye and the palate. We had a terrific evening, our best food experience in London (visiting from NZ).
A lovely treat. Divine cocktails followed by Delicious morsels that we wouldn’t cook at home. Everyone so helpful and friendly and relaxed.
Very disappointing experience. Overpriced food not up to scratch and cold and overcooked. Terrible service. Won't be returning- it has really lost its way
Lovely dinner-small plates, so
a good opportunity to try different dishes.
Food was fantastic as usual, and the service was amazing !!
The price is on the expensive side but you do get the quality. I would happily come back here again and again
Fantastic food. Flavour overload. Lovely spacious room. Great place for a catch up or meeting.
It seems like it was a whirlwind of colors and flavors. The lobster crumpet was mind blowing, the winner for the evening.
Interesting drinks and food. Loved the halibut—all of the different flavors made for a very delicious dish! The chickpea side dish was basic, but very flavorful. Don’t be afraid of the chocolate cake with beet root—it was surprisingly yummy.
As expected from an Ottolenghi establishment to food was excellent.
However the inattentive service let this particular restaurant down. The staff were not sure who had done what out table and an inconsistent number of staff kept appearing to do things; an inattentive Maître d' did not help maters either at the end - this need sorting out to bring this place up to the standard of other Ottolenghi establishments.
Front of house letting the chef's down!
Great food. It was all I expected and more! Good service. Price is high, but food makes it worth it!
there i sat at bonnie ROVI
thinkin’ boiled mince n’ stovie
boiled tatties and boiled neeps
till like a smile a wonder creeps
to that first taste on lips it keeps
and keeps and keeps till infinity
until the very next dish we see
and again our tastes are fresh reborn
flavours whirl and turn to storm
as each delight finds the deep
and tears of joy akin to weep
find us there mid folk unknown
till happiness once felt alone
shines and fills ROVI restauarant
and for once i am a food savant
Far too pricey for the portions sadly
Noissy, acousticklely a disaster
The food was a reeducation for my taste buds. Very nice!!
The sharing I found difficult because of different preferences.
Excellent in every way!
The staff were all great- bar one (who mistakenly thought I was waiting for someone, said he'd bring extra cutlery, didn't come to take my dessert order etc.). The dishes are inventive and the kind you try to remember and copy at a later date. The only negative - and it is a big one - is that someone went crazy with the salt. The consequence being that I woke up three times in the night to drink water and had sausage-shaped fingers the next day.
The food was amazing. However this restaurant is very popular and strict time slots means that there is a little pressure to eat up quickly . I would have like a little more time to savour the experience.
We had a delicious lunch at Rovi. We loved the tempura and the mackerel, as well as the home made kombucha. Would love to come back some day!
Another amazing ottolengho restaurant. Great food and cocktails.
Very good, portion sizes a little small.
Very nice, friendly place, perfect for breakfast (and of course also for lunch or dinner).
Great restaurant - food was excellent, service exemplary.
Rovi was all I had dreamed and more. As a fan of Ottolenghi’s cookbooks, trying a range of his best dishes in a vibrant and fun setting with excellent service was a fantastic experience. Ever dish we had was divine and I highly recommend it!!
Simply amazing food and very good food service. Dishes were coming very swiftly. I just wish we had a bit more time to finish. The hosted rushed us off the table 1 min after i got my tea served.
Inventive kitchen, lunch was a culinary adventure
