We've teamed up with farmers who are passionate about growing great produce while respecting the environment. Fruit and vegetables will be come directly from biodynamic Brambletye in Sussex, and from Organiclea, a cooperative in East London.
In the center of the room is our bar which is reservable for guests dining with us over the age or 18, or 16 if accompanied by an adult. The rest of our seating is a mixture of standalone and communal tables which can be be converted into a semi private area for up to 10 to 12 guests. To host your event in this area please contact us directly.
Amazing food and service but VERY VERY loud due to people talking and general noise levels
Amazing food. The piattoni beans and beef carpaccio were standout dishes. Stylish decor too. You must check it out!
The food is imaginative and really tasty. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable , do their best to ensure you get the best from the the menu .
Cant wait for our next visit
Warm welcome at the reception desk. The food was really delicious. Each dish was special. The service was great and quite relaxed. Loved the jars of preserved fruit and vegetables around the dining area. This was my second visit to Rovi..,there definitely will be a third very soon! Many thanks to the chefs and staff that made it a first class place for lunch.
Amazing dining experience. Service was exceptional.
Absolutely fantastic. The experience was everything I imagined it to be, if not better! Our waiter was very attentive despite being very busy, and had spot-on recommendations. The food (obviously) was divine. It was certainly worth the trip to London!!
We especially appreciated not being forced to return the table in 2 hours. And we loved the drinks list. Thank you!!
Creative and great tasting food.
Delicious lunch served in lovely surroundings. Perfect
Met my son in London for a few days and secured a table at ROVI. Food, cocktails and service did not disappoint.
I was expecting to be impressed but was disappointed.
I had the beef rump with ssamjang sauce; it was very mediocre. The sauce would pair nicely with fish but definitely not beef. Moreover, it was very salty. It was very flavorless. On the upside, the dessert - Miilli feuille with burnt honey, raspberries and whiskey was very good.
I gave the place a 2 star rating as the rump beef dish was sort of a chore to eat mainly because of the lack of flavor and saltiness.
We came all the way from Australia and loved every minute
Amazing place and food!
Excellent Sunday lunch with great range of choices of small and large plates and tasty desserts.
We arrived a bit before our table was ready but the reception was welcoming and we were able to sit, have a drink and browse the menu in comfort.
We shared starters of tempura stems and hogett ribs - a delicious start. The mains were well cooked and presented too.
Overall a great place for Sunday lunch and in fact a meal at any time of the day and week. We will be back.
We spent 2 hours in a phantastic atmosphere with perfect service and brilliant food and drinks.
The food and people were very nice, also the homemade ice tea was brilliant. Just the noise level was frustrating, this is no place to eat and have fun, sounds more like a school cafetaria. We prefer a smaller Ottolenghi place.
Booking via the Internet went well. We arrived well before time and were offered a very uncomfortable chair outside on the pavement for a drink. Our table was not available at the allocated time. What happens in inclement weather, as there is no overhead canopy? The staff are very obliging, but in retrospect inadequate numbers to maintain the accelerated tempo necessary to achieve 3 sittings of an evening. ( Saturday ) The food is excellent, but not everyone is into the current " sharing " fetisch. A table of six will of necessity not eat as quickly as smaller groups.
Although we were assured there would be compensation for the delayed starting time, it is no exaggeration to say we were all but unceremoniously " thrown "out when our alloted time 9 plus ) was up, effectively ruining an otherwise enjoyable evening. For some clients the presence of a sommelier might be of use to assist in choosing appropriate wines for this excellent food. In reply to the usual question - Would I go back ? Yes, but with reservation.
We were really looking forward to eating at ROVI. The food met our expectations. However, we found the waitress a little pushing to take a starter. And within an hour we were outside again. Still we were happy we went there.
Lovely early dinner - wonderful to discover new delicious ways with produce easily available in the UK. Atmosphere is great - bright and smart. Young and old enjoyed , highly recommended
Loved ROVI. Wonderful experience. Food was amazing. Waitress was so helpful. Had such a good time.
Restaurant was pretty cold (airco?), food was nice and service was also good
I almost never review anything unless u have a serious complaint, but Rovi is so impressive I have to recommended it. I was at Nopi two weeks ago and found the experience identical. Fantastically flavourful and surprisingly savoury sharing plates. Love these restaurants.
We got told that we had to leave the table before they even finished serving us the food that we ordered.... That kind of ruined the mood. No one told us it was a timed slot and it was less than 2 hours....
Food was average. Though my impression could be tainted by the experience.
We had a fabulous lunch here , the service was excellent and the food delicious. The desserts were bigger than we expected and we ordered 3 for £15 , great value if a little greedy on our part!
A good restaurant with an attractive formula of sheering the food. In general the food was very good though one of our main courses where a bit dissapointing (the vegetarian Jeruzalem mix lacked the subtility of the other dishes). It was a bit noisy when the restaurant was full but the staff was very friendly.
The food was excellent with good advice from the staff on ingredients and potential choices. Cocktails were very interesting and could have easily been repeated. However the one downside was with the service as the cocktails went missing as did the desert wine. There seemed to be a conflict of interest for the bar staff in serving clients at the bar and preparing drinks for those seated at the tables. Perhaps the problem could be solved by a separation of responsibilities.
We had a little glitch in terms of seating but very quickly remedied and management was over the top on it. I loved everything we had to eat. Highly recommend this hot spot.
We had eaten at Nopi the first restaurant by Yotem Ottolenghi many years ago and this was even better! Great atmosphere, friendly staff and service. Food was outstanding and presented so well, among the vegetarian dishes we had were tempura, warm grilled tomatoes with yogurt etc
Very good cocktails and wine list.
Phenomenal cuisine, terrific for vegetarians. Each dish delighted us beyond our expectations. I cannot wait to go back.
If we could give 6 stars, we would! Food was divine. Life-changing butter beans. Most wonderful service from Frederico and George. We couldn’t stop laughing. Would fly over from Canada just to eat here again!!
Excellent choices of small plates means you can try more dishes which are imaginatively put together. I loved the lobster roll, ribs and celeriac shwarma. Attentive service and laid bustle but relaxed vibe. Would go again.
What can one say about Chef Ottolenghi! His recipes are just superb
Great and attentive service. Nice ambience. Food is very tasty everything was good with interesting spices and very colorful on the plate. Total bill was very reasonable for quality of food and cocktails. Would definitely come back.
Food was exceptional! And our waiter franco was amazing!
Delights. Great experience at the bar. Staff was great and did not yell or cuss at me in public
Wonderfully cosy atmosphere and excellent food and service.
Celeriac shawarma, Jerusalem vegetarian mixed grilled, frangipane served on a leaf, simply heaven on a plate, it does not get any yummier!
This was the MOST terrible experience. The waitress revelled in the pretentious charade of explaining every dish on the menu in the most irritating manor and without knowledge or sincerity. She then disappeared and thereafter it was impossible to get her attention. The food was served by the kitchen staff which was fine but where was our waitress? Invisible. It took a lot of effort to order further bottles of win and a glass of wine to 20 minutes to appear. It was utterly ghastly and made worse that the entire evening was a thank you to colleagues and also a birthday party.
Never never ever again and I only love 2 minutes away. Ghastly
First visit to Rovi. We sat at the bar area and were well looked after by the staff. Food was fantastic and we had a wonderful evening. I would recommend and am looking forward to returning.
