Had a lovely afternoon at Ruby’s soho with couple of friends to celebrate an exam.
Very good drinks and very good atmosphere. The venue is right in the centre of Soho, in the middle of a very lovely area.
Price was good for what we had.
A special mention to the lovely Italian manager Andrea. He explained us all the drinks and took all our orders quickly and efficiently. Was also very fun and entertaining. We’ll definitely be back for him.
Very good food, great place to have a date or catch up with friends!! Lovely staff as well
nice place, good ambience and the food was peng. waiters all v nice. hella loud though if that’s not your thing
Food was really delicious - its a bit pricey but nice for when you want a treat. Service was great, the wait staff were really friendly and cool. Would definitely come back
Undrinkable coffee, awful food. Very disappointing
Really nice restaurant, good food, good service. Our waitress Vanessa was lovely. Had a couple of cheeky cocktails when happy hour arrived and this restaurant is on Tastecard.
Fantastic place and I 100% recommend This is the 2nd time we have visited and will be back.
Decent service. Food was very bland despite great presentation - although this could simply just be the dish that I particularly ordered (prawn linguine). Cocktails were quite nice.
Good for birthday dinner as a group!
Have eaten here a few times lately. The staff are very warm and friendly, and the menu has been excellent each time. Excellent
Food was good but not great, would have liked more veggie opinions. Music was a bit too loud.
Food was great, had the beef burger and was cooked really well. Staff were a pit pushy in trying to get us to order cocktails but lovely apart from that.
Worst service ever.
Waited 45 minutes for first drink then one meal came 20 minutes after the rest, we had to open bottles of wine ourselves with corkscrew, no explanations or apologies given. Will never return, staff need to go on training course and the managers are even worse.
So, the food was good but the service was... well, maybe it was just unfortunate that a series of things all happened, because I have worked in restaurants so I know sometimes people just have random things all happen at the same visit. But the overall impression I had was of a place so busy it didn't quite have the time/staff to join it all up. A bit left hand/right hand not knowing. For example...
- it's very dark. Speakeasy style, no doubt for the atmosphere. But we were put at a table so dark we needed phone torch to read the menu. If you have any eyesight condition, avoid. Again, maybe just unfortunate placement - and we moved ourselves.
- drinks orders taken with the food, drinks arrived with the food not before. We wanted to enjoy our drink first. Again, just a little thing but...
- because of this, as soon as the food arrived, ordered another coke because we could see the tiny bottle wouldn't last for the meal. This second drink arrived after we had finished the meal...
- Tried to take the plates away when we some of the party were still eating
- Gave us the wrong bill so had to refund and repay
None of these things individually were bad but together just made it hard to relax and enjoy. It felt anxious, hurried.
Dreadful service. Chips arrived 10 mins after burgers, by which time guests had eaten the burgers. Other two mains came ages after the others. Desserts took an age. And when one member of the party asked for hot custard (instead of the cold they were served) they were brought hot milk! Food was over salted and over priced for what it was Drinks took forever to arrive. We even had to source our own cutlery from the serving station! When the bill came it was wrong, and when we "underpaid" as we hadn't paid the full 12.5 % service charge and I explained to the waitress how poor the service was she just shrugged. No apology, not even an acknowledgement of my complaint. A shame as it seemed like agreat place. Definitely style over substance. First and only time I will ever go.
Good vibe in this bar, there was a dj on with fun 00s music on a Friday so we had a little dance too. The staff was very polite but clearly not very experienced and the food was average, bar the truffle pasta. I thought it was overpriced for what it was, but all in all a fun night out
Despite being only diners in the restaurant, the service was initially very slow but did pick up eventually.
The open table set menu was good value but didn’t offer any type of Christmas option which isn’t a huge problem but worth mentioning for others expectations.
The food was completely hit and miss. Those who opted for the burrata said it was delicious but those with calamari found themselves battling with the rubbery texture.
The burgers we ate for our mains were fine and the sides delicious but dessert was again hit and miss. Those who opted for brownie said it was delicious but those who opted for the crumble we’re presented with a jug split custard which resembled rice pudding so not quite sure how it found it’s way out the kitchen. With this said, when flagged to the waiter, he was very apologetic and tried his best to correct the situation by offering a replacement/alternative.
Food was delicious but the service was a little all over the place. I was overcharged for the special I ordered and when I complained - asked if I “really wanted a refund”
The food and venue were great, perfect location in Soho, however the service was shockingly bad, we had so many parts of our order forgotton, waiting an extremely long time just to have drinks served, when we could clearly see the bar staff waiting around.
The atmosphere was really good but the food was pretty average. The truffle pasta was very bland and alot of the food was over salted. The appetisers were really good.
When two waiters separately apologise for the poor service we received but still stuck on a service charge to the end of the bill you know theyre taking the mickey
Service was awful. A lot of waiters but no organisation. We had to ask 5 times for our drinks. Service was so slow we didn’t get to eat our desserts
Booked for 8.15 but allowed in early on a walking very helpful staff Brett
Just exactly what we’d hoped extremely helpful and friendly staff
The food was varied and well cooked
The Staff were a credit to you
Really great place, fantastic open table deal and great service 🙂
Amazing food and portions for the set menu. Did have to ask several times for the Prosecco and fries we ordered but the staff were good. The only thing was at the end a member of staff asked if we were leaving a tip for them so we didn’t as we had various staff serving us throughout the night. If it had been one person then maybe so
They were definitely short staffed but to be honest it was so bad they shouldn’t really have opened. Waited more than 45 minutes for even a coffee, then they were all wrong. Half the food came, half didn’t. We had to chase several times and the staff weren’t even apologetic. Food was ok when it did arrive but the service was just awful. No one even came to our table to give us menus for half an hour. And it really was not busy in there.
We had a long-standing booking for four for 7:15pm but got there to be told it was 5:30pm. Showed them our OpenTable e-mail confirming it was indeed 7:15pm and they tried to find us somewhere to sit. We were eventually squeezed into a corner, only to be told 30 minutes later (before our main courses had even arrived) that they would need the table back in 15 minutes!
The bill arrived before we'd finished our drinks and without being offered the option to order dessert. We were moved to another table and had a rushed pudding before being given the wrong bill, having to pay a second time to settle the correct amount and finally left very disappointed. If it hadn't been for the apologetic Kirsty we'd have left much earlier.
Great food and the restaurant was very busy. The space between tables was minimal and it’s very hard to exit without disturbing the next table. I had notified the staff that it was my friends birthday but they failed to acknowledge it.
Absolutely love the amount of truffle on the menu at this place! Great atmosphere and good food - perfect night out with the girls.
Staff were super friendly and nice, especially the lady with tattoos (didn’t get her name) food is ok, the salmon was good choice. Nice atmosphere
Really nice spot in Soho for drinks/date night. Cool DJ creating a nice ambience and some nice cocktails.
Been a few times good place last night started on a but of a downer with one of the managers/owners a being rude, also noticed him talking to staff not very nicely.
Food is great good music overall I like it just no need for the attitude as he has some great attentive staff and in the current climate they'll leave.
Unfortunately, sour coffee, overcooked lobster and eggs (in the eggs benedict), and pretty bad service. Sadly, since we had seen the place on TikTok and we’re looking forward to a good visit. Oh well…
Service was absolutely awful but the food was nice 👍🏻
Fabulous restaurant - great food, lovely cocktails and music what more could you want!
Really good atmosphere and vibes - great DJ and great cocktails
The waiter was too stressed whilst it wasn’t that busy. He kept apologising for ever he did. Asd
The music was very loud and the rooms very dark. It was really hard to read the menu or see what you're eating. The food quality varies by the dish, but was not excellent for any of the ones we ordered
We went for a 6:30pm evening meal on a Friday night.
On the good side: The only saving grace is the food was outstanding! I had the wagyu burger with truffle Mayo and garlic broccoli on the side, hubby had the half grilled chicken with seasoned fries….flavour, texture, temperature all perfect and fresh!
The set up for dining was ‘intimate’ with low lighting and candles on tables.
Only let down was seating was very cramped, we got the impression that the more bums in seats the more profit they could make (which is somewhat understandable), however this detracted from the initial offering of an intimate dining space. Once the restaurant became busy it was difficult to hold a conversation over the noise of others.
In addition to this we found the service a little slow; waiting around 15 minutes for our waitress to take our drinks order, then another 15 minutes for our drinks.
We were then asked to move tables 3 times due to them receiving late bookings for larger parties! On the third time we declined as we were being served our food. But As I said the food was outstanding and that really is the only reason why I didn’t give a poorer review, and after all that, I would probably go back, just for the food though!
Very quirky and cool place in soho! Food is good, even if a bit pricey, but not too bad considering it’s in the heath of soho! Highly recommended!
