Anthony Grayson Ewan and Ivan amazing were amazing and looked after us all night had an amazing evening can’t wait to come back
Good friendly service, outdoors sitting in a back alley due to Covid restrictions with people smoking both standing and sitting at the tables next to us. Felt cramped, table was wobbly but so it was the alley’s floor.
Small menu but catering all tastes, food was good and so it was the cocktails.
Had to ask for the bill to three different servers so that delayed things a bit.
I will go back for when restrictions stop. I’m sure indoors eating is a different game altogether.
Great value for money and lovely service! Try the cocktails!
Absolutely delicious choices on the select menu. The service was slightly slow but very friendly. Being seated down the side of the restaurant was slightly disconcerting but the value was great.
Impeccable service, the best I've experienced in a long time. Delicious food. Really great atmosphere with the outdoor seating. Definitely worth a visit.
Had a fab time with great food. Would go again. Prawns were amazing
Amazing food, but the service wasn’t the best.
It was a nice occasion, however I’m unsure I would return.
Service was terrible I’m afraid but tasty food. Not sure would return.
Would have appreciated a little bit of flexibility to sit at an empty table fifteen minutes before my booking began.. was told that the minute I sat down a ninety minute clock would start, meaning original booking end time would be cut short. Appreciate you have to manage tables and turn these but a little bit of flexibility here would be a bit more sensible.. and leave less of a bad taste in the mouth.
Nice waiting staff, but 1:30 for a meal is too short
Nice for a work lunch. Service a bit slow at times
Put in a dark alleyway at side of restaurant. Cold.
Food was Awful. Friend had avocado on toast which rather than the normal crushed avocado was piped onto the toast. Strange consistency and taste. Not nice
I had spatchcock chicken. This turned out to be a whole poussin?!?! Not well cooked. Slightly pink in the middle. Worrying.
Ordered coffee at end of meal. Waitress returned and said coffee machine broken. She had forgotten this fact. Offered tea. Declined.
Plates removed obviously lots of food not touched. No comment made by waitress.
Extremely nasty experience all in all.
Terrible food. Don’t even use proper avocados rather already made guac!
Great location, super friendly and accommodating staff, and my ribeye steak was absolute perfection at £26. It's a shame that the outdoor seating is limited (we were in the alleyway between buildings), but this will become a non-issue once the covid-restrictions are relaxed. Looking forward to returning.
Was delighted to get a table at Ruby's - and food more than lived up to expectation. Service was a bit chaotic but then it is difficult for anywhere dealing with restictions at the moment!
I held a business lunch for 2 and it was my first visit and very enjoyable, Great food.
Had to constantly keep asking for basic things like napkins and cutlery
Very slow service and poor attention to detail
We were sat in a cold alleyway with no heaters. The food was truly terrible and seems like it was from a frozen packet heated up. Would not recommend.
Hi, Thank you for your review, we are really sorry your visit wasn't up to scratch this time. Unfortunately, the council haven't allowed us to use any heaters on our terrace as it's on a public highway, we do mention this to all customers in our confirmation emails prior to booking. We also provide blankets and a walled gazebo to stop any wind. We really strive ourselves with our food and I can assure you that all of our food is freshly made every day from scratch.
I attended Brunch at Ruby's in their outside seating. It was a great experience; the food was delicious, the staff attentive and very friendly, and the cocktails were brilliant! Even being outdoor seating on a slightly cold day it was very comfortable and a nice sport once the sun did come out. I would definitely book this again.
Really great service and food. We had to eat outdoors because of Covid restrictions and the wind and rain made it less enjoyable than it would otherwise have been but would definitely recommend
Hi Alan, Thank you so much for your review, we hope you will join us once we can open indoors.
Lovely place in a great location and food was very tasty
Lovely meal, good set up outdoors and helpful service. Enjoyed the lamb dish and the chicken was good also.
Amazing staff gorgeous food highly recommended 10/10
I booked a set meal offer which included 3 courses and a glass of Prosecco. Was rather abruptly told that they did not do that offer and was given no apology. Basically what I booked was a table. The website should be updated or an email sent out informing of this prior to arrival. I received an email to confirm I was attending. Could this not have included the fact that I was not going to receive what I had booked?
Had a great experience at Ruby's! The food was delicious and totally exceeded expectations. Drinks were great and the wine list was perfect for what we wanted. Overall would definitely recommend it.
Amazing food, definitely try the fairy forest and lemon meringue pie dessert!
It was cold sitting outside, but food good. Staff friendly.
The manager was very helpful in making sure we were comfortable under the circumstances - having to sit outside etc. The food really was good too. Pleasantly surprised. I had the pork neck and my other half had the lamb and we were both really shocked at how tasty it was.
Great friendly staff, food was great and good portions. Natural wine was especially good.
Recommended seats out front, rather than down the side.
No set menu as stated on open table.
I hate writing negative reviews so I usually never bother but this was a bad experience. Staff were nice and friendly and went out of their way to get us an umbrella because it looked like it would rain. But, honestly, the service overall was just woeful. Bread didn’t arrive as a starter. Chased it up twice. Eventually arrived at the same time as the main courses. Later, another batch of bread arrived and they said it was our fault because chasing it up meant we’d ordered twice. One of the party had no knife and wasn’t given one for his whole meal. Ditto we only got ketchup and mayo near the end of the meal after having to ask again. And we paid £166 for the experience (for 5). Food was fine/average but it was not worth it. Won’t be going back. Shame because the staff were “nice”.
Really overpriced food with very small portions - the butternut squash was also the only vegetarian option.
Bit cold initially as our table was in an alley but as soon as another became available the really friendly and helpful staff moved us. Ribeye steak was awesome and Camden Hells larger too!
The staff were really not friendly and didn’t know their menu. They weren’t able to answer simple questions such as what the sides were. The tables were on the shades so be prepared with warm clothes. Instead of avocado on toast it was some weird mayo with avocado.
The food was truely terrible. Our salmon royale was served on two halfs of a burger bun, and the avo on toast was grey. There is a reason its the only place in london you can get a last min booking.
The service was very slow, and waiters and waitresses were outside smoking near the tables. We waited a long time for drinks and then were rushed off before closing time really, as tables and chairs were being put away, an hour before close on a Saturday night.
Great service and lovely location - would recommend!
Still trying to work the kinks out post covid but the service was a bit shocking.
Food was delicious and staff were wonderful!
Fun vibes and lovely service. However the food was really substandard. Under cooked chips, soggy calamari, HALF a soggy hassleback potato with the pork main. The red wine was poured without tasting and was too cold. The portions are tiny and over priced. The salmon fillet was perfectly cooked though!!
