great atmosphere, good shisha & cocktails and the staff were so nice and helpful, definitely would recommend to anyone
Strange times to be dining. I had booked inside but it was a nice evening and I was easily switched to outside (under canvas cover). Immediate excellent service and great explanation of COVID-19 regime which was very sensible. Liked their no menu menu and with a quick scan on QR code had it. Menu slightly limited but a decent enough choice and when we were served it it was very nice. Attentive staff throughout and thought their thought through and thorough safety regime would have reassured all but the most concerned. In more normal times I guess this is a young persons place however as an older party we were made very welcome. We had an excellent time.
Great staff , super friendly. Food took a while but the shisha came really quick. Location is very convenient, just off Regent Street near Zara home so expected the price on the higher end. Love the deco as well the place is super cute.
Upon arrival ready with my reservation I asked if it was possible to sit outdoors or move when it becomes available. Was told 'AS you can see for yourself it's impossible' with the worst attitude. Then when seated indoors, asked for ID and then took 20 minutes to give a menu because server was too busy chatting with co-workers. Even table next to me had to walk to them personally to get their attention. Overall demeanor was bad and ambience horrible because of it. When finally asking for our order I told him we're leaving and he just took our menus again without saying anything. Unless you look rich, they will act uninterested here.
Pricy and closing time should be changed to 1am on weekends at least.
Lovely place, charming waiting staff.
The good was nice but the service was poor and very disappointing.
We where late , they where very understanding . We had a good table . The prices where Great . Beautiful scenery . It was a wholesome experience .
Pretty restaurant with lovely decor but average food. The pancakes were very disappointing; tasted stale but the turkey pesto croissant was fantastic. Service was quite good too.
Came her for lunch with a group of friends, saw how great the food and cocktails looked on Instagram. The decor is really cute and bang on trend but our food took ages to arrive, and was rather luke warm. We all ordered cocktails but they didn’t look nothing like the Insta pics which was quite disappointing. Overall the service was very good and they made us feel extremely welcome.
Really enjoyed the decorations, the choice of food is great, and original
Really liked it
Great service and setting just off regent street. Staff were all very polite and accommodating. Food was delicious, outdoor shisha and drinks were great however service was more slower outside and price for a shisha I did find a bit expensive. Could do with more vegetarian options on the menu, but the ones available were great.
The restaurant was freezing both doors were open and the staff were more interested in serving people drinking and smoking outside
Takes a long time to get drinks!!
My friend and I ate here this week for the first time. The food was original and delicious: Artichoke chips with guacamole; gnocchi, wine and soft drinks. The service was efficient, the staff friendly and with 'Women's Wednesday' we were delighted with the discount!
We will certainly be returning to Rumours – highly recommend.
Great atmosphere, great food and great service
Amazing venue, good service, and pleasant experience. Food was overpriced though, and the portions were quite small. You would have to spend +20€ at lunch to be full. Definitely recommend checking out the downstair area whilst there, it was the highlight of our visit!
We arrived at rumours just before our booked time and were told the restaurant didn't open until 1pm (We had a confirmed booking for 11:45 and the website clearly states 11am as the opening time). They were still putting out tables and although the one member of staff was very apologetic (there was no manger available to talk; they hadn't turned up), its really not acceptable to have a booking confirmed by the restaurant to then turn up and be turned away with no offer of reimbursement or offer to find us another booking elsewhere especially as we had travelled in from outside London to eat at rumours. We were then left to find another table on a busy Saturday elsewhere. It's completely unacceptable to not have been notified that the restaurant needed to open later/change our time before turning up.
Worst restaurant management I have ever encountered. I rang in the morning to change the booking from 6 people to 9. This was confirmed on the phone, but when we arrived they hadnt sorted a table for 9. When we asked about this they said, they could add another chair...? We had had the menus for half an hour and then were told that they had to check whether they were serving the brunch or lunch menu. This should have been clarified before we had menus. We ordered olives for the table which never arrived and when we asked they said they didnt have any. 6 of the 9 meals arrived, (despite the fact we all ordered the same two meals). We had to prompt the manager that we had 3 meals missing, and he then asked us what we had ordered and they didnt arrive for another 25 minutes. As a table of 9, sat for an hour and half, we were only asked about one round of drinks. One of the drinks was forgotten and when finally made was left sat on the bar so long that my friend went to go pick it up for himself. The staff could not have cared less about the service, and all seemed to be a little spaced out, and the manager in particular is way out of his depth. I would not return if you paid me and would strongly advise anyone else to avoid this place.
A friend and I travelled from outside of London to come here. I booked a week in advance. When we turned up, there was a private event going on and it was heaving with people, we weren’t allowed in. Thus, a wasted journey which ruined our day. Rude waitress who did not even offer us a table and just went back to the event. Would not recommend to anyone!!!
We booked a table but when we arrived was told an event was taking place, so we have to sit outside - the website said nothing of any event on the day which was a bit annoying. The food was very average, my friend's food had hollandaise sauce on it (allegedly) but it resembled something close to melted butter. Another friend had the French toast but honestly it was something closer to fried cake. I had the salmon on brioche but it was actually regular bread, definitely not brioche. It's a pretty place and perfect for an insta but everything else is sub-par.
Disappointing visit. Went for a birthday event, service was poor/non existant. Only time we saw a waiter is when we called one over, no checking if wanted more drinks, if the food was ok etc. Starters came out so late it was served with the main course. The only waiter we had was actually a bartender so credit to him, unfortunately he was lost with the whole evenings processes. Food is overpriced for what was served. Atmosphere is ruined by “influencers” taking pictures with a cocktail and salad
We attended for a friend’s get together brunch. The food was good, price is quite standard for a brunch place and the service was very good. The waiter was very accommodating to substitutions such as whipped cream for ice cream.
Excellent food and cocktails list - loved the kale salad!, good selection of cigars on the terrace. Thank you guys. Great place for a pre-club with drinks.
Lovely new restaurant in Heddon Street. We liked the vibes and the ambience. The decor is amazing.
Could do with a quicker service though, as the food and drinks took a while before they came.
But staff nice and polite. Would definitely go again.
Went here for an early dinner with a friend , starters were actually
A bit meh, expensive and seems you are paying more for the decor than anything else. One person's food came out after everyone else had finished with very little concern from the restaurant.
was not advertised as a hookah lounge. we were getting sick from all the smoke. would not of made a reservation if we had known.
It’s a cute place for a drink but the food is way overpriced for the quality and quantity you’re getting. Moreover, they should separate the smokers from the non-smokers.
Hi I am very disappointed that Rumours restaurant did not live up to our 5* expectations . Please send me an email to discuss this matter further Cillian@rumoursmayfair.co Cillian
Beautiful location and restaurant.
Food : poor taste , and overpriced
Service : very slow
Food was presented well and delicious.
I love the pink colour and the flowers inside really made this venue a perfect addition to Heddon Street.
Will definitely come back again and again
This seems like the new hot spot in London. Food was delish.
