Confusing menu. Distinct lack of tapas. Meat was overpriced and cold (basically paid for a big chunk of bone). Sides arrived late. Had to ask three times for the bill. Overzealous waiters. £90 for starter and main for two persons. Only one side. Water to drink! I wouldn’t go back.

Always a great meal here. All the focus is on the txuleton which is grilled on open fire to perfection. House rioja un carafe is a great price quality ratio.
Very poor when compared to Sagardi restaurants in Spain. We ordered Txuleton vaca matured beef 1kg, waitress recommended this meet and portion of 800gr between three of us (all of us normal size not big eaters). Effectively there was only about 200-250gr of real meet, it was mostly bone and excessive parts of fat and you will be paying for this at £70 per kg. We had to order two more portions of Txuleton otherwise it would have been very embarrassing.
Overall hygiene of the restaurant and service quality are poor. Manager was not interested in us being satisfied guests, he was not polite and only obsessed with making the profit, it’s a rip-off. First and last time for us to visit Sagardi, Shoreditch in London.

For a Basque/British roast this was a really good choice. Would recommend and will try again. Meat was really well cooked and the portion size was more than enough. Two courses for £26 is great value.

The reviews promised a lot but we were disappointed. Restaurant nearly empty at 1.15 and was still nearly empty when we left an hour later, so very much lacking in atmosphere. The food was perfectly nice but steep prices and a confusing menu were off-putting. Maybe we misunderstood but we were told the idea was that everything was for sharing, in which case you'd expect to order several dishes. Sadly, the "tapas" options weren't plentiful and anything that comes in at £26 (eg the stuffed baby squid) significantly impacts the budget overall

Been to Sagardi a few times before. It’s always been great, but this time service was very slow and don’t think the meat was as good as usual. Apart from that, everything was great! Would recommend

Was introduced to this restaurant during Meatopia 18, had an excellent discussion about the beef, time before slaughter, time hung, and associated merits. Chose a 1 kg ribeye with plenty of marbling and the flavour and taste did not disappoint. Fun and attentive staff and good ambience. Only criticism was the temperature of the meat serving plate.
Was here for a 40th birthday. Great meal, fantastic service! Definitely one for special occasions.

While the food was tasty and of good quality we really felt that it was poor value for money. The 3 starters we had were overpriced for the quantity offered and the tuna and the pulpo that we had for main was also in our view overpriced. The meat was perhaps the only thing that was fairly priced. All in all £325 for a Sunday brunch for 5 was a bit excessive in our view.
Lovely dinner with my family. Food was good, especially the steaks wich were also a bit pricey, service was ok but we left disappointed after waiting for over fifteen minutes to order desserts.
