Service by European standards was good.

Food is superb. Really let down by service (completely under staffed and not attentive at all). Hopefully they will sort the service ASAP as it’s currently letting the place down!

Overpriced and pretentious. Tiny portions. Good for a glass of wine but you can get better food, service and experience somewhere else. Would be fine if you're expensing the meal and don't care about the price.

Pasta & glass of wine for a tenner between 5 & 7 is a bargain. Orange wine by the glass also delicious.

The service was weird and bizarre, the deal we had come to get was not available, the portions were small though the food was good. Bloody Marys were fantastic (thank god) and the beer was so bad we left it untouched.

Nice location though.

Went for brunch. Food was high quality and delicious, but the coffee menu could be expended beyond an espresso or plunger. Despite all the good write ups online there was only us and one other table between 11-12pm so the cafe buzz was not there at all. Seems more like a lunch, dinner or drinks place.

If you like gnocchi it's the perfect place! +++++

No faults. The food was perfect, the service professional and not intrusive. The atmosphere and general vibe is great and I love the decor, especially the bar.
Great for a date or special occasion. The wine list is insane and has some great bottles on their.

Still can't get over the food, it was delicious, so so good. It's not the cheapest of places but also not going to stretch you too much.

Highly recommended

We came for the glass of wine and pasta deal for £10, which we thought was good value. We stayed for cocktails, which were delicious. Great spot very close to Bethnal Green station but away from the main roads - you can sit outside to eat when the weather is warm. Friendly staff (although a little hard to grab the attention of when it was busy), tasty food and drinks and good location. Will definitely go back to explore more of the menu!

Sager & Wilde provides very good food to complement the excellent range of wines it offers, the latter being the original principal reason anyone might go there. Staff are efficient, knowledgeable and pleasant.

Food was great but there just wasn't much of it for the main course. We had the £10 wine deal which is great value so wasn't too disappointed but if I had paid full price for the Ox Cheek ragu I would have been disappointed.

Started with a couple of cocktails which were delicious and then moved on and came back for dinner. I had the ox ragu pasta which was also delicious but a little on the small side for the price. I saw other plates of pasta being brought out that seemed more generous though. Had another cocktail from their Old Fashioned dedicated menu which was coconut flavoured and fantastic. Great service too will definitely come back

Nice and healthy food. I like it! The price was very reasonable, but I feel the restaurant is kind of short of staff - everyone was so busy and it always took a while to get someone's attention.

Absolutely amazing all round dining experience. Waitress got my order wrong the first time but gave us a starter and drinks on the house and was so very apologetic. This exemplary service sets the bar high for others to follow. Food melted in my mouth and wine was perfectly picked out to match. All round perfect night.

This was a nice restaurant and good vibe for a Saturday night. There were 4 of us and we sat outside under heaters (which we had to control on/off ourselves). The service was good and food was really nice. Two of us has pasta with ox cheek and the other two pasta with nduja, everyone enjoyed. Would recommend again for a group dinner.

Had another wonderful meal at Sager + Wilde on Saturday evening. There were 3 of us and we were very well looked after from the moment we sat down until we left 2.5 hours later. The head waiter recommended some excellent wines (with several available by the glass or carafe). We then settled into the tasting menu, which is great value at £45. Everything was beautifully presented, full of interesting flavours and textures - really top notch cooking and very imaginative. There were no duds, and I was able to substitute the fish as I prefer not to eat it. Standout dishes were the chicken liver mousse, the oyster in almond foam, lamb tenderloin, and meringue desert. We were treated to a complimentary glass of desert wine at the end which finished off a lovely evening. Looking forwards to my third visit already.

Only value is the 10£ wine and pasta deal. Otherwise it's quite pricey for pasta and average wines by the glass... No big names and grapes

The ambiance of Sager and Wilde is lovely, but the quality of the food and drink were poor. We had to send back all our hot drinks for being served cold. Coffee was incredibly watered down, and the tea was served cold. That being said, our server was kind enough to take the hot drinks re-served off the bill. The food was decent, but tiny portions and not quite the Sunday brunch-vibes you would have hoped for.

I am gluten free and they catered really well for that, the food was great. Service was extremely slow however. I think it was quite obvious that we had been waiting a while and were a little annoyed but at no point did anyone apologise. Having said that we all loved the food and I would consider going again.
