I was quite disappointed with my experience tonight. The food was mediocre and so overly priced.
Really really sad to see that dent in my bank balance which was meant to be a treat for a friend Iv Met after so long.
The restaurant was empty so they had no excuse not to deliver excellence.
Miso cod was so tiny, it wasn’t enough to feed a child.
extortion.
Amazing service and an amazing place. Can't wait to go back again
We really enjoyed this brunch as staff were amazing g and food excellent
The food was delicious, service was friendly and fast, the restaurant looks as beautiful as you would expect
The place looks magical. It’s Sakura season in full bloom. The staff were helpful and friendly. The food is amazing! We loved our yakiniku diner. Loved the cocktails too. Highly recommend !
Food was alright, service was really poor. Had asked for the bonus prosecco but never received it, was not offered desserts even if in the notes I mentioned there was a birthday person and will sing at dessert time
First of all, as a regular customer I always choose to sit in the booth. Our booking specified that we had a complimentary Prosecco and booth seat upon reservation. We did not get the booth seats however it did not bother us and we just sat were the hostess accommodated us. After ordering our food, I also asked if they had a portion of fries. The waitress had told me they do sweet potatoes fries and hakasara fries , I ordered the hakasara fries after she told me they were regular french fries with mayo sauce, which I assumed to he sirachi mayo sauce. I also made it clear that I’m vegetarian after she asked if we had an allergy concerns. After eating all our food and the fries, I ordered another portion of the same fries and more sushi. I then proceeded to ask a man who looked like the manager , what was in the sauce as I had never tasted something like that. He then told me it’s fish mayo sauce. I was absolutely furious, as somebody who has not eaten meat and fish for 4 years, it had made me sick to my guy and I had then lost my appetite and mood. Although they apologised, and I appreciate it I believe what the waitress did was careless and not excusable in certain circumstances , considering somebody may have a very severe allergy to fish , unlike in my situation , and would have ended up in hospital. More precautions should be taken to ensure customers know what they are eating, considering the menu is very vague and does not specify. Very disappointed.
The waiter who served us was very nice and approachable. The food was really good too.
Good food. Good service. Great experience cooking your own steak on hot stone
The Japanese Wagyu BBQ was amazing, but be careful when you put it on the lava stone as it is incredibly marbled and its fat will cause the oil to splash.
The menu is extensive but no longer offers inventive Japanese fare. Menu is very boring and for the price there is far better in London. Sake choice is amazing, but that doesn’t save it’s unoriginal menu from disappointing.
The wagu beef was excellent. Unfortunately my rack of lamb cutlets were cold which I sent back. I received a newly cooked rack which was good but it meant we were not eating together. The half price cocktails before 7.00 were good. The staff were stretched later in evening but managed well when we caught their attention. Just one observation - our main courses were served and the first course used plates were not cleared. We had to request this service.
Delicious food with a warm welcoming ambiance. Worth it!
Food was really tasty and great value. Everything we had was excellent. Unfortunately the service was really not great we had to ask for several things twice and had to wave down staff for service. Staff were very polite but there was no organisation or not enough of them.
I would still go back for the food
Good but for the price not good enough quality of food
Lunch bbq menu was good, three types of meat where you cook yourself on a lava stone.
Service was very slow. Also the restaurant was ice cold, as if the heating was not working
Amazinn authentic experience - felt like being back in japan!
They were quite busy it was clear so the waitress seemed quite stressed however, she did her best! we had the bottomless brunch , starter was amazing but the main was just beef on 3 sticks which we didn’t enjoy. Overall though , enjoyed the atmosphere and the restaurant was modern.
Excellent food and dessert. Had omakase sushi and good good quality fish. Appreciate the vast number customers but only downside was the slow services..
I ordered the prawn tempura for starter it was very flavourless. For mains I ordered the black cod which again had no flavour, it was not cooked properly at all so I mentioned it to the waiter he gave me a lot of excuses and pretty much forced me to eat it, I thought that was rather rude and not professional at all. He was pretty much saying I was lying that it was uncooked and have absolutely no flavour.
Would not recommend at all. Poor service and poor quality of food.
Great restaurant!
Cant wait to come back again.
Food was nice, extensive sake options.
The food is so good and the service they provide is decent.
The only things that I found out is the table is too small. If you planning to get 2 lava meal, basically the table is full and you can’t put more stuff. But it just a little thing that won’t affect much.
We came here on weds evening for my boyfriends birthday and enjoyed it thoroughly. The service was attentive and food was excellent, so fresh and full of flavour. We always enjoy coming here when we are in London and this time was just as special, especially with the delicious birthday cheesecake! Thank you so much
We had a lovely meal the food was great quality and tasty, some issues with them holding the steak dish and then when it arrived the stone had cooled and wasnt great for cooking. Also chips and chicken were cool too. Would try again but service could have been improved
かなり空いているのになかなか注文をとりに来ない。料理はまずまずなのにもったいない。
全くサービスなんて受けていないのに勝手にサービス料12.5%とるのはほとんど違法ではないか。
The music was too loud to chat comfortable with friends
Quite pricey for what you get, you could have gone to a Roka or Nobu for spending that much. Service was very slow
The sashimi platter we ordered was poor in portions and of average quality, staff pleasant but no urgency, steak good but whole place was full of smoke from cooking. Bill was overpriced for the quality of food provided.
Great experience although a bit pricy. I will definitely be back!
Food adequate - but not for the price they're charging
service was very poor which spoilt the evening as 2 starters never came and after main course we were just ignored and my 2 sons who had evening arrangements had to leave before a birthday cake
Very slow service! We were told at time of arrival that we only have our table for 2 hrs. It took about 20min for someone to come and take our order. We ordered a few pieces of sushi and yakiniku. Waited another 30min for our sushi&drinks. Took them 1 hour to bring the yakiniku so that left us only 25min to eat the yakiniku set:( The yakiniku plate turned completely cold after about 10min so had to change the plate in the middle of eating.
Overall very bad experience. They definitely need to have more staff! Would not come on a Saturday night again.
The service was slow, we constantly needed to wave to get anyone's attention. The taste of the food are as their usual high standard 😋.
Not a very good choice of vegetarian food. Many of the options seemed to be a variation on the same ingredients cooked in a slightly different manner. Service was also a bit slow and given only half the restaurant was full, it appeared a bit unattentive. That being said, my friend really enjoyed the hot stone beef.
Brilliant! The food was lovely! I recommend the sushi and the meat!
Great food, service was fine but not outstanding
Service was terrible on multiple fronts. They got our order wrong 4 separate times, took 35 minutes to even take our drink order although we still had to vacate table within the 2 hour slot. They served us steaks without confirming how we wanted them cooked. Not remotely apologetic for the long delays.
Good food just a shame about the service.
we wait for one hour to have our food ready and the food is cold when we have it.
My kids love Japanese cuisine and we went to Sakagura at lunchtime on a Saturday to celebrate end of school exams for one and birthday for the other. The booth we were sitting in was near the door and it was absolutely freezing every time someone was going in or out of the place....
The service was unhelpful and slow. No sign of explaining the difference between dishes nor to tell us if we were ordering too much or too little.
The sushi rolls were ok, nothing special.
The robata food was excellent but the hot stone became cold soon enough that we did not manage to cook all the food we ordered.... again, no suggestions, recommendations nor help from the waiters.
It took another half an hour before I started calling to get the dessert menu and eventually, after almost three hours, we managed to pay an astronomically high bill and leave....
Definitely won’t go back any time soon.
