Terrible experience. Bad food. Over cooked meat. Sat us by the door which kept opening and had to wear our coats. Asked for a drink which they forgot. Just a terrible experience from start to finish. Won’t be coming back and suggest you don’t either.

We always enjoy Sakagura - consistently good food and ambiance. The noren booths are cosy albeit sometimes difficult to get the attention of staff but a minor element to a very enjoyable evening.

Extremely slow service - took 30 minutes to get our drinks and 2 hours to get the main. The bottomless brunch drinks ended before our main even arrived. Had to keep asking the waiters to top up our drinks. Food was tasty but rather meagre portions. For bottomless brunch go elsewhere - ordering a la carte may be better value..

We were really excited to visit Sakagura for the first time. Unfortunately it just didn't hit the mark, we arrived early which didn't seem to be a problem at first, the service was incredibly slow we waited 30 minutes after ordering our starter and over 40 minutes between our first and second course. When the food did come it was lukewarm at best and needed to be sent back. When we went to order something else off the menu we were told our two hours was up and they needed the table, although we had been there two hours as we arrived early the table I had booked was until 21:30 so the table will have been available until then, be aware that your two hour slot is strict! Overall a disappointing experience at a restaurant we were originally really excited to visit.

First time at Sakagura, food was very enjoyable especially the hot stone steak. However the service was extremely poor, the staff was not proactive I had to constantly put my hand up to get their attention, they were not knowledgeable about the menu & portion size, they expected us to make space on the table for them to put the food rather than clear up.

For £85 pp you expect fantastic and proactive service, which was a big let down considering the food is great.

We had the Lava stone dinner, was really good, rib-eye was delicious.
It is a bit pricey and you have to cook yourselves the steak, I would suggest to add some sides for free, veggies is not expensive and healthy.

Great food, although a bit pricey
But terrible service, waited more than 20min for drinks and they forgot half our order, finally we were literally chasing for being served. And the place was NOT FULL at all.

We went to Sakagura for my birthday. The kids love Japanese food and I thought it would make for a lovely birthday treat. The restaurant is lovely but the staff are all pretty clueless, there are no systems in place and everything took a long time, even clearing our plates. The quality of the food is great though and the wagyu utterly delicious the kids loved cooking on the hot stones. If service had been speedier and more together it would have been really nice. As it was they apologised but didn't make any effort to recompense for the inadequacy. My son is also vegetarian and I was surprised that there wasn't much on offer for him.

1st bottomless brunch I’ve had where I’ve left feeling hungry. Starters lovely but mains need improving you only get skewers of meat with no accompaniment, to improve I would suggest serving mains with some rice or noodles. The service also needs improving we were waiting for our drinks to be filled up for nearly ten minutes and in the end had to ask, for the service charge you pay this is unacceptable

Lovely decor, very attentive staff regarding allergies. A bit noisy but sitting in a booth made it very comfortable. Would have wished food to arrive at the same time for all the guests. Very nice food

Food is definitely not worth the price tag. I have eaten similar quality and taste at half the price. Restaurant was full and there was an obvious shortage of waiting staff. So difficult to even get our orders taken, not to mention getting our tea pot refilled throughout the night. Staffs were not at all attentive nor enthusiastic and we spent much of the night having to crane our necks to find and get the attention of the staffs. Disappointed with the experience given the number of raving reviews the restaurant had. Wont be back.

The restaurant is lovely, but I was expecting some Japanese music playing.
The food was delicious, but the waitress got our order wrong at first. And I think it’s a little bit of a joke to add on a service charge for just 2 people. Especially when the restaurant isn’t cheap in the first place.

Do not dine here during peak hours. Severely understaffed which led to poor service, cold food, hot rocks that did not cook negating the whole experience. On balance a poor experience and a poor value for money.

Sushi rolls had the consistency of mashed potatoes, the flavour of the food was horrible, and the fish was not
fresh. ALSO, very overpriced for low-quality food that u could've bought at Sainsbury.

The food is superb and the sake selection is comprehensive. The only negative is that they only have a single external door with no lobby so you get blasted with cold air every time someone arrives. Ask for a table as far from the door as possible

Unfortunately we had a disappointing experience. After an amazing previous visit we were let down by slow service, very slow food (arriving 40-50 minutes after we ordered), and the food quality was not great. We had to return one dish that was not cooked.

Service was so inefficient

Toke 1 hour to pay the bill.

Hot stone can only heat for 10 minutes and then needed to be replaced which takes 15 minutes for them

The service was absolutely appalling - one of the worst I’ve seen in London. The food was mediocre - you can easily find a place which provides similar standards of food with much lower prices. AVOID.

The two steak set menu for £49 was an absolute steal and I would highly recommend this restaurant as we had an amazing time. The service was much to be desired, I think we had to ask for a drink after waiting 10minutes from being seated. With a restaurant that wasn’t even at 1/2 capacity this seemed a bit poor.

The service was not up to mark, the food all came hap hazard.. Ordered expensive Saki and it was warm and when i requested to send a cold one i was told i didn't know what i was talking about, and later i found out there fridge had problems and wasn't cooling.

The food is exceptional however the service and the staff are going to run the place to the ground.

Considering the price This place is charging (esp.wagyu beef), we expected good quality food but it was very disappointing.
It got busy later on and when people have stone baked food it can makes the place smoky and stinks your clothes.
