Our booking of 21h45 was accepted but when we arrived, they said the kitchen closed. They agreed to let us order if we were taking away. The order was wrong (food with chili and plain naan, which were not our order) and we end up paying eat in price for the rests of the day.
Excellent restaurant, fantastic service and excellent food. It may be down a side street but it's certainly worth venturing there.
Delicious, fresh food and excellent ingredients. The manager was very charming and when we suggested one of the delicious portions was a little small, in a gesture of outstanding generosity, he presented us with another delicious, fish dish on the house. We will definitely go back. One small criticism is that the manager was slightly too relaxed with his face mask.
Very nice food. Good table service. Also good value for money due to the eat out scheme.
We have eaten here several times in recent years and after not visiting for a while was really disappointed. Extremely slow service from ordering and between courses. To say the restaurant was more than half empty we just couldn’t understand why the kitchen was taking so long. Were they focussing on their delivery offering maybe? The portion size of the starters was poor and to be honest, the food wasn’t anything more spectacular than any other restaurant in the district. Expensive for a mid-week trip out for a curry. Not good value for money on this occasion I’m affraid.
It was okay. Probably would have been a lot better if they hadn’t been very understaffed. Basically so-so. Underwhelming.
Absolutely amazing food and service. They’re extending the eat out to help out scheme as well, so even better value!
Looking forward to returning.
Wonderful well flavoured food served efficiently in a safe feeling environment. The whole team give good service making their customers feel welcome, comfortable and well fed, quite an achievement in these challenging times. Well done to all at Salaam Namaste.
Went with 2 friends for dinner for our first post-Covid meal - the food was delicious and the staff were really attentive and courteous. Thoroughly recommend going - I'll definitely be going back!
Had a really good service
Rohan our server was so amazing! He was so polite and very sweet
He made sure our food was up to our Acquired taste and he made sure that l we had all the drinks we needed.
Had a great time!!!
Whether eating in or enjoying a takeaway, Salaam Namaste always comes up trumps! The new manager, Rohan, gave us a charming welcome back last Saturday and we look forward to dining there again very soon.
Very nice food. Probably one of the best indian food in london. The waiter was really friendly as well.
Two hours for the starter to come
People were walking out as they still had no food.
Ironically they still managed to fulfil all the Deliveroo take-aways which was not great to see considering all the people in the restaurant were waiting for food.
This place is an absolute gem! Great service, very nice decor, and the best Indian food I've had in a long time!
Superb freshly cooked food. Service was excruciatingly slow (meal took hours), but the quality of the food made up for it.
This unprepossessing local restaurant has long impressed with excellent cooking. Scallops are juicy, chicken not overdone and the spicing interesting without any need to call out London Fire Brigade. We ate on the tiny little terrace whose awning protected us from the soft rain but gave us a view to Mecklenburgh Square. Lovely.
Great to be back at an old regular - well adapted with good spacing and ventilation, and good food as ever.
Dinner on a warm Wednesday evening, helped out by Mr Rishi. Managed to get one of only two outside tables on a raised area by the pavement, and this was a great start. Evening continued just as pleasantly with delicious food and lovely service. Veggie options were particularly tasty.
Still one of my favorite Indian restaurants in all of London, and I will definitely return.
A most enjoyable meal in this small, pleasant Bloomsbury restaurant. Well organised for this Covid-19 reality. Recommended.
Best Indian food in London. In particular salmon amazing and sharing platter of desserts scrummy. Good selection of vegetarian dishes cooked to order.
Great restaurant, really good service which was safe during the covid situation too. Food was lovely, decent portion sizes for the main. Would recommend
Very pleasant staff and tasty food. The interior looked a bit outdated but luckily they have a small terrace with a couple of tables so Al fresco is also an option.
Not the best, but not bad either. For a quick lunch / dinner may be ok. A bit in the expensive side.
Delicious food, beautifully presented, every time!
Great service and tasty food - different selection to standard Indian restaurant fare,
The ambience was good, had a great time. A must visit for those who want to try Modern Indian cuisine.
Hidden gem with great menu and good value - recommend
Food is delicious. My favourite London curry house.
A lovely neighbourhood India. The menu was very interesting and has lots of unique dishes. Everything we had was vegetarian and gluten free. Imaginative cooking, friendly service. We will certainly be back.
We were a party of 9; adults and children, that had booked on the day based on online reviews. We were welcomed, given great service and had an excellent meal.
The price for Central London was very good value in my opinion. The potato and apricot dumplings were especially nice too.
So overall we all left well fed and happy having been well looked after.
Loved the place, the ambiance, the service everything was great
Awesome food, however service was poor due to Valentine’s Day. Would definitely go back again to see if the service is better on a regular day
Amazing food, fair price and good service.
Actually, my review is for their sister restaurant Namaste Kitchen in Camden, though I assume you will have a similar good experience. We made our reservation of course through Open Table only to find on arrival that they had closed temporarily because of an exhaust problem in the kitchen. Open Table did not inform us. However, they were wonderfully considerate, booking us a table at Namaste Kitchen and paying for the short Uber ride to Camden. It is a very lively place and the service is leisurely but attentive. The real attraction, however, is the food. Every dish was excellent and creatively spiced. While finishing, the general manager arrived from Salaam and sent us back to our hotel in another free Uber and our unfinished second bottle of wine. Should emphasize again though that the chef's mix of both traditional and inventive Pakistani and Asian fusion cuisine is truly exceptional. Will definitely be going back.
This is a good curry house. Dishes were variable. Delicious Dahl and the chat starter in a little edible lattice was great too. Thought the lamb curry and chicken tikka were acceptable but the lamb not quite melt in mouth and the chicken came covered in marinade which covered for a lack of flavour in the chicken. It should be a dry dish packed with flavour the chicken juicer
As outstanding as ever! An even wider choice of delicious dishes excellently presented. Buzzing atmosphere - restaurant was full even on a Monday evening!
Lovely food with dishes that I have not seen before. Great choice of food and the staff were attentive
food excellent. service friendly and efficient. table we had meant 1 seat jutting out into the aisle therefore kept getting knocked.
Never disappointed when visiting this place. Took some good friends after telling them how good it is and they too loved it. One of the best in London.
We were visiting London for the New Year holiday and wanted a good Indian meal close to our hotel. Salaam Namaste fit the bill! The waitress made excellent recommendations and everything was delicious. It’s a small space and we were seated near the staircase. It’s sort of like controlled chaos. Definitely recommend!
