Following a refurbishment in 2013, Salaam Namaste can cater for 70 covers at any one time and is an elegant and contemporary space for intimate dinners or an ideal venue for entertaining guests, business clients and private parties.
Not the best, but not bad either. For a quick lunch / dinner may be ok. A bit in the expensive side.
Delicious food, beautifully presented, every time!
Great service and tasty food - different selection to standard Indian restaurant fare,
The ambience was good, had a great time. A must visit for those who want to try Modern Indian cuisine.
Hidden gem with great menu and good value - recommend
Food is delicious. My favourite London curry house.
A lovely neighbourhood India. The menu was very interesting and has lots of unique dishes. Everything we had was vegetarian and gluten free. Imaginative cooking, friendly service. We will certainly be back.
We were a party of 9; adults and children, that had booked on the day based on online reviews. We were welcomed, given great service and had an excellent meal.
The price for Central London was very good value in my opinion. The potato and apricot dumplings were especially nice too.
So overall we all left well fed and happy having been well looked after.
Loved the place, the ambiance, the service everything was great
Awesome food, however service was poor due to Valentine’s Day. Would definitely go back again to see if the service is better on a regular day
Amazing food, fair price and good service.
Actually, my review is for their sister restaurant Namaste Kitchen in Camden, though I assume you will have a similar good experience. We made our reservation of course through Open Table only to find on arrival that they had closed temporarily because of an exhaust problem in the kitchen. Open Table did not inform us. However, they were wonderfully considerate, booking us a table at Namaste Kitchen and paying for the short Uber ride to Camden. It is a very lively place and the service is leisurely but attentive. The real attraction, however, is the food. Every dish was excellent and creatively spiced. While finishing, the general manager arrived from Salaam and sent us back to our hotel in another free Uber and our unfinished second bottle of wine. Should emphasize again though that the chef's mix of both traditional and inventive Pakistani and Asian fusion cuisine is truly exceptional. Will definitely be going back.
This is a good curry house. Dishes were variable. Delicious Dahl and the chat starter in a little edible lattice was great too. Thought the lamb curry and chicken tikka were acceptable but the lamb not quite melt in mouth and the chicken came covered in marinade which covered for a lack of flavour in the chicken. It should be a dry dish packed with flavour the chicken juicer
As outstanding as ever! An even wider choice of delicious dishes excellently presented. Buzzing atmosphere - restaurant was full even on a Monday evening!
Lovely food with dishes that I have not seen before. Great choice of food and the staff were attentive
food excellent. service friendly and efficient. table we had meant 1 seat jutting out into the aisle therefore kept getting knocked.
Never disappointed when visiting this place. Took some good friends after telling them how good it is and they too loved it. One of the best in London.
We were visiting London for the New Year holiday and wanted a good Indian meal close to our hotel. Salaam Namaste fit the bill! The waitress made excellent recommendations and everything was delicious. It’s a small space and we were seated near the staircase. It’s sort of like controlled chaos. Definitely recommend!
Very friendly team, food was big portion and good!!
Busy christmas day. Very loud music. Fairly long waiting time for the food even though they had a special holiday menu with fewer choices. They ran out of some dishes at the end of the evening. All in all, good food but not a top notch experience.
we had booked with OpenTable at a specified time. We arrived on time. Instead we were told to come back much later. Although we returned we waited again. Then they gave us a bad table in front of the open door without shelter from the cold. We were served after a long time with bad professionalism !!
Beaucoup trop de monde, bruyant, réservée pour 19h30, ils nous annonce qu'on aura pas de table avant 20h. On a décidé de partir !
Very frantic and delayed service.
Everything was excellent especially for a Christmas dinner.
Very noisy over Christmas, that was a surprise but maybe it is also something to expect. It wasn't so noisy last time. Service wise, they have this strange machine to take the order whereby you can't order a side as a starter because the order needs to be made following the menu. It was awkward.
My favourite Indian restaurant full stop!! Wonderful food and great service!
we were in a group in london and chose this great restaurant at short notice. we were all delighted.
definitely worth a visit, even if it will take a little while until we will be back in london.
Really good food. All dishes were tasty. Service was good and staff were nice.
We went for an office lunch and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience. We all agreed that it was the best Indian cuisine we had tasted and we will definitely be going back again soon
We've dined here a few times, and on this occasion, it was as bad as the others were good.
We enjoyed the food when it eventually arrived (table booked for 7.30/mains arrived at 9.30pm).
At the end of the meal, when I asked for the bill, the waiter returned and shouted "who wants the bill", then threw a quantity of chocolates across the table. Overall, service was very poor.
Can't fault the staff at Salaam Namaste - they were very accommodating given a last minute change in numbers. Food was delicious - would definitely eat there again.
Too noisy and crowded place and the seating arrangement is not at at all helpful. Food was Ok but you can get such Indian food in many places.
Delicious food. Second visit, not disappointed. Staff are great too
Great food, great service, definitely recommend. The only disappointment is that I made a request that this was for my wedding anniversary and asked if the restaurant could do something special - this was completely ignored.
Took us 3 hours to receive our mains, we had to remind the waiters numerous times about drinks we had ordered. I appreciate they were busy but the waiters were all running around like headless chickens and with no order or organisation
Top class, freshly made delicious Indian food, a delight to the palate.
The venue is small so when busy, as it was when we visited, it can be quite loud with talking, however the table we were given felt quite intimate and the noise was not a problem at all.
We were seated instantly by a friendly member of staff and they promptly came over to take our drink order but were more than happy to give us more time.
I cannot consume any dairy products and our waiter was extremely helpful advising me what options I had and what he recommended. The food was then very promptly served and wonderful, I could not believe how generous my portion of sea bass was!
I had noted on my booking it was a birthday, and our waiter asked who's birthday it was, and he then brought out a free dessert with a candle in it and sang happy birthday. This was not something I requested and it really was such a nice touch.
The service charge on the bill was more than reasonable and we were happy to pay extra for the special touch of the free dessert and birthday song.
I would definitely come again.
Really nice surprise how nice the restaurant and food was. Everything from starter onwards was excellent. Service very good.
Excellent food. Attentive service. Great menu. Highly recommended
Inventive menu without departing from the sense that you have eaten in an Indian restaurant. Friendly and efficient service. Prices are reasonable for the quality
