Salon
Our weekend brunches (Saturday & Sunday daytime) are legendary, with props in The Guardian, Time Out and Harpers Bazaar to name just a few!
We have a bar space downstairs where we serve cocktails, natural wines, beers and snacks.
Upstairs in our Dining Room we offer a 4-course Set Menu and a 7-course Extended Menu, please specify on your booking if you would like the Extended Menu.
The food was absolutely delicious and thought the set menu was really varied and flavoursome. Only criticism was that the restaurant despite being very busy, felt very cold. Thanks.
Salon is brilliant, food is great, atmosphere is great and every single one of their staff is lovely. Amazing customer service and delicious dishes!
Food is always amazing. Staff are knowledgable and friendly. Room is warm and welcoming.
Had a lovely lunch with friends, so many delicious options, service was efficient and relaxed and the food was fabulous, I will definitely go back.
Fantastic food, service and cocktails. An amazing date spot, but not cheap. Expect £100+ with food and wine.
The food served was not as amazing as the reviews suggest. The sriracha benedict was very salty, and there was a lot of bread versus actual condiments. In addition, I was surprised to be served only one poached egg with two slices of bread. For the price, the portion size felt measly. At every other dining experience where I've ordered an eggs benedict, I've been served two eggs - one on each slide of bread.
Salon is completely amazing. The food is delicious, the setting is fab and the staff are just lovely. I'll be recommending to everyone and will hopefully come back soon!
A lovely find in Electric Avenue. Very tasty starters and delicious duck egg mains. Not cheap but a short, delicious menu.
Food was nice. Really irked by the fact you have to pay extra for the meat option for your main course, kind of defeats the point of a set/tasting menu. Wine/cocktails were good and the staff were all really friendly.
The food is always amazing there and not too pricey, the staff is super friendly.
Had to wait a while for our table & weren’t offered a drinks menu during that time but think they were just very busy on a Saturday morning as have been to Salon previously and haven’t had this issue.
Menu was great, although missing the hash dish I have previously loved!
The food we did order was delicious with great coffee and came in good time once we had ordered.
Love it here, would always recommend!
Superb as always
Very good restaurant, the extended menu with wine pairing was excellent. As always we left very happy. We need more restaurant like that in Brixton.
I genuinely wanted to love Salon, and there were aspects of the meal I really enjoyed. The mussel starter was incredible as was the dessert course, really outstanding. The flavours were interesting and unusual. For me, the main (partridge) was a bit odd, and my partner felt the same. It was unusual and I give marks for that, but it didn’t leave me with a “this is incredible” taste on my palette, more one of “this is good, and interesting.” It’s quite possible my palette is not elegant or refined enough to have enjoyed the main, but hey, that’s how I felt!
All in all we loved the atmosphere, intimate feel, music, and service. The meal was interesting and at times really hit the mark, at times for us it did not. A memorable meal overall.
The staff were lovely, friendly and attentive.
THe food was really tasty. I had the beetroot hummus on soughdough. Generous portions and good value for money
Lovely and attentive staff, tasty brunch, looooved the ndjua croquetas! Definitely coming back to try more on the menu.
Set menu is creative and based on seasonal products.
The staff is friendly and you can see that they are genuinely proud of they do.
Good clientele, not too noisy. I’m glad that I booked as in mid-week it was full!
An absolute gem and loved every dish. Highly recommended it already to friends.
We had been recommended Salon by friends but sadly left disappointed. The food just wasn’t up to scratch. Skate in buttermilk was bland, a potato risotto (why ‘risotto’?) was just diced spud in stock and the main was a small piece of underseasoned pumpkin. Venison, for a hefty £6 surcharge, was good, as was the apple pudding and the chocolates, but we left a little hungry and convinced it’s just not as clever as it thinks it is...
Great food, interesting wine, very good service. Really nice room too.
Having recently eaten at Levan, we were keen to try this sister restaurant. We found it to be extremely crowded so much so that the waiting staff knocked into my husband upwards of 10 times whilst trying to serve tables around us which was comical but also intensely annoying. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable but the food just missed a beat. The salmon starter was overly fishy, the kale tempura was over cooked and left us feeling full and a bit greasy before we’d even eaten anything else. However they redeemed themselves with a perfectly balanced apple terrine dessert that was the most delicious texture and the perfect amount of sweet, salty, soft and crunchiness. Sadly though we won’t be rushing back.
Excellent food at great value and superb service
Wonderful evening with an amazing set menu and perfect wine pairings. The salmon and clementine starter matched with orange wine was a highlight. It’s a small but perfectly formed restaurant and was ideal as a birthday treat
Fantastic spot with great tasting menu and matching wines all at very reasonable prices. Very good service too and relaxed atmosphere.
One of the best restaurant I had an amazing experience of brilliant food, very friendly staff and great atmosphere. Definitely recommended!
Poor food. Average quality ingredients cooked in poor recipes at extortionate prices. Confused restaurant, we left bored, hungry and disappointed.
The most reasonably priced tasting menu we've had. Most notably of the dishes was the salmon, Clementine and horseradish tartare was a dish we won't forget in a hurry. The orange wine pairing was a touch genius.
The atmosphere struck a perfect balance between being sophisticated and friendly. The knowledge of the each individual members of staff translated into on of the best customer service experiences we had ever had.
We will definitely return
Amazing food and service. I will definitely be back
My dining partner and I had the Christmas set menu which was very good for the price (although the £6 surcharge for the venison was a little steep considering the amount on the plate). However the main concern was how the wine was advertised.
The menu showed two prices - by the glass and (we thought) by the bottle. Opting for the bottle at the end of the evening we were surprised that the wine was £12 more than we thought we were paying. It turns out that the price on the (small print) menu was for a carafe, not a bottle, and the bottle price was elsewhere on the menu.
We didn't make a fuss but both considered that this was very poor labelling (also, there was no offer from the waitress to honour the price we thought were going to pay). As such it rather took the edge off the evening, and I'd very seriously think before returning here.
Incredible food and wine and amazing service by the staff who explain each course, how it was made and how the wine compliments the food. Amazing dining experience, but for the four courses and the wine accompaniment for two people was £150 so be aware it's more for a special occasion than every day dining! That said some of the tastiest, well thought out food I've ever had, worth the money!
Delicious brunch and great service 👍 really interesting, unique menu options that change regularly, too.
Great innovative food, prompt service from people who demonstrated a passion for their food and wine alongside exemplary customer service. Will visit again.
Disappointing brunch. Murshrooms came on soggy untoasted sourdough ‘toast’, bland and disappointing. Croquettes and coffee were however delicious! Music a little too loud, struggled to hear my friend, but lovely environment otherwise.
Real cheffy talent; interesting combinations and assured execution. Only a set menu available and very limited drinks (no sparkling water!) but excellent cocktails and knowledgeable staff very much made up for it. Will be rushing back!
Over-priced and teeny portions. Would not go again.
Creative and unusual set menu with great matching wines. Small, intimate and bustling atmosphere. Our favourite restaurant in Brixton for a special occasion - it never disappoints!
A gem ! Delicious and original cuisine, nice and quiet ambiance for a special occasion, attentive and professional service... Allez-y les yeux fermés.
Yet another great meal at Salon - I had the sriracha royale and it was perfect. Loved the thickly cut home cured salmon, seasonal greens and right amount of sauce (not too much, not too thick). The only slight negative was the service and our drinks arriving midway through our meal. They were absolutely full when we arrived though so probably just down to a busy morning.
Delicious tasting menu, the chefs really put a lot of thought and love into some fine quality morsels. A great way to taste dishes that you may never typically order. Groovy Brixton atmosphere, Highly Recommendable!
I really enjoyed the quality of food and cooking at Salon as well as the amazing wines we had paired with our meal. Unfortunately our time was let down by the fact that Salon didn't let us know that because we were the "first sitting" we couldn't get the extended menu. As this was my brother's birthday, I wanted to treat him to something extra special, i.e. the full menu with the full wine pairing. I was really disappointed that we couldn't be accommodated especially as I had made it known that it was a special occasion. While this didn't ruin our meal because the food was fantastic, it did put a dampner on things. Also when we tried to let the staff know of our disappointment we were made to feel as if we were a bit of a hindrance by the our waiters and there was definitely an air of awkwardness.
I 100% recommend Salon because of the food and on previous occasions the waiting staff have been amazing. This occasion, the quality of service fell very short and we were made to feel uncomfortable.
