Our weekend brunches (Saturday & Sunday daytime) are legendary, with props in The Guardian, Time Out and Harpers Bazaar to name just a few!
We have a bar space downstairs where we serve cocktails, natural wines, beers and snacks.
Upstairs in our Dining Room we offer a 4-course Set Menu and a 7-course Extended Menu, please specify on your booking if you would like the Extended Menu.
Delicious brunch and great service 👍 really interesting, unique menu options that change regularly, too.
Great innovative food, prompt service from people who demonstrated a passion for their food and wine alongside exemplary customer service. Will visit again.
Disappointing brunch. Murshrooms came on soggy untoasted sourdough ‘toast’, bland and disappointing. Croquettes and coffee were however delicious! Music a little too loud, struggled to hear my friend, but lovely environment otherwise.
Real cheffy talent; interesting combinations and assured execution. Only a set menu available and very limited drinks (no sparkling water!) but excellent cocktails and knowledgeable staff very much made up for it. Will be rushing back!
Over-priced and teeny portions. Would not go again.
Creative and unusual set menu with great matching wines. Small, intimate and bustling atmosphere. Our favourite restaurant in Brixton for a special occasion - it never disappoints!
A gem ! Delicious and original cuisine, nice and quiet ambiance for a special occasion, attentive and professional service... Allez-y les yeux fermés.
Yet another great meal at Salon - I had the sriracha royale and it was perfect. Loved the thickly cut home cured salmon, seasonal greens and right amount of sauce (not too much, not too thick). The only slight negative was the service and our drinks arriving midway through our meal. They were absolutely full when we arrived though so probably just down to a busy morning.
Delicious tasting menu, the chefs really put a lot of thought and love into some fine quality morsels. A great way to taste dishes that you may never typically order. Groovy Brixton atmosphere, Highly Recommendable!
I really enjoyed the quality of food and cooking at Salon as well as the amazing wines we had paired with our meal. Unfortunately our time was let down by the fact that Salon didn't let us know that because we were the "first sitting" we couldn't get the extended menu. As this was my brother's birthday, I wanted to treat him to something extra special, i.e. the full menu with the full wine pairing. I was really disappointed that we couldn't be accommodated especially as I had made it known that it was a special occasion. While this didn't ruin our meal because the food was fantastic, it did put a dampner on things. Also when we tried to let the staff know of our disappointment we were made to feel as if we were a bit of a hindrance by the our waiters and there was definitely an air of awkwardness.
I 100% recommend Salon because of the food and on previous occasions the waiting staff have been amazing. This occasion, the quality of service fell very short and we were made to feel uncomfortable.
Pleasant but overpriced with a somewhat cramped seating arrangement. Can't fault the food although not a very vegan friendly menu. The servers were amicable and efficient.
Quirky and individual, Salon offers beautifully prepared food. Everything is lovingly presented but some of the tastes don’t work. Ambience excellent. Lavatory needs investment. If you want to spend £70 on Orange Wine, this is the place.
Some of the best food I've had in a while with fantastic staff and a great atmosphere. 110% recommend!
Informal and friendly atmosphere juxtaposed with a creative and delicious tasting menu that wouldn't be out of place at a Michelin star restaurant.
Food was sensational , tasting menu so small portions, but with amuse bouche and lovely chocs after 4 courses felt just right
Only quibble would be wine prices are steep
Superb as always
Being a celiac means some times I get asked odd questions like can I eat meat, is fish ok or I get food so plain, it's depressing. This staff know exactly what they are doing, they understood what they were cooking and I could eat and not and amended the food according.
This has to be one of the most innovative and interesting meals I have eaten this year in London. It is a set menu with 2 choices of main course, not different for different's sake food, just modern, brilliantly cooked food. My 13 year old daughter who is not the most adventurous eater loved the mackerel starter and mushroom gnocchi, my duck main course was perfect in every way. Goats cheese, cheese cake was a great finish.
Please try to go and support this restaurant, we need more chefs and waiting staff like this.
One of my favourite restaurants in London, however the bar and brunch menu is better value for money
Nice place. Small, upstairs. Nice knowledgeable staff. Good service. Nice food. Amazing bread! We ate early. According to opentable we took the last table but it was empty when we arrived. We were hoping for a lively place so that was the only downside.
Outstanding in every way - one of my favourite restaurants. Will certainly be back again.
Great spot for a lovely brunch... Serves unique dishes, all good value and very tasty.
Great food and service . Can’t ask for more. I’ll be back
As always It was delicious and the atmosphere laid back. Great service too.
Food was tasty but 'main course' portion was too small for us.
Salon never disappoints. Beautiful dishes, friendly relaxed service and a warm, cosy atmosphere. A local gem within Brixton Market.
Amazing food and excellent service. Couldn't recommend more
Wonderful food - very inventive with local ingredients. The staff explained every dish to us and were very knowledgable. Lovely atmosphere and fantastic wines.
I have been to Salon for dinner and it was really wonderful. So I suggested brunch. The food was pretty good, but we felt rushed at all times. Which made sense when we were presented with our bill one hour later "because they had another booking". It's a small space so it gets noisy. I won't be recommending this to any of my friends, which is a shame because they do have good food! I felt really put off by being rushed like that. I don't know whether Salon can stretch their booking slots to 90mins or provide an option to do so? It would make a difference!
Great food as always and warm service. However I have noticed they have vastly increased their prices over the last year, so we won't be able to make it as regular a visit as it was before.
Lovely! As ever.
We did the extended menu option and it was amazing. Delicious, creative food in a non pretentious environment. You can see the three chefs working in the modest sized kitchen whilst you eat. The restaurant is cosy with low key decor and a groovy soundtrack. Highly recommended.
Delicious food and friendly, knowledgeable staff. We had a lovely evening there.
We have eaten at Salon a number of times and the food is always excellent. On this occasion we had an tasty and imaginative brunch. I also would recommend for dinner on a special occasion.
This is the second time I've been to Salon and sadly again it didn't impress. It's just fine, but not anything outstanding. Today's dish of "field mushrooms" on sourdough was overly tomato-ey ordinary mushrooms, underseasoned and served on soggy toast. My friend said his pork hash was "OK" too.
Wouldn’t change a thing. I took my mother who dines out at top restaurants regularly and she was also suitably wowed. She’s also lactose intolerant which I warned Salon about when bookings and they were so accommodating. A must try.
Quite the unassuming treasure. The food and service were spectacular. I had heard it was very good, but my expectations were most definitely surpassed. Highly recommend it. If you can, get the matched wines too. Some very interesting wines, and well matched.
Loved this restaurant. Small but really buzzy and good atmosphere - not pretentious at all. Simple set menu with an optional meat dish for main, so nice not to have to choose and it was all delicious! Staff paid particular attention to one of our group who was diabetic making sure she had good options which was great.
Superb food as always.
Great atmosphere and friendly, attentive waiters
It’s a shame was really looking forward to this but I thought the food was, for want of a better phrase, meh. For the build up and the chat about each dish it just didn’t deliver on flavour or quality for me. The amuse bouche was not what I would call an amuse bouche. It was two gem lettuce hearts on one plate but for two people with some pistachios sprinkled on. It was just very odd rather than exciting. Also serving a mushroom as steak is really quite laughable. Dessert was more like a disappointing breakfast made up of iced creme fraiche a few raspberries and some granola ish crumble. The wine list indicated a higher standard of dish so it felt in the end disproportionate somehow. Service was great though and the ambience was lovely. Best part of the meal was the petit fours at the end - they were really fantastic. I don’t enjoy being harsh about a restaurant because a lot of work goes into it but equally I was really looking forward to a delicious meal that turned out to be disappointing and for me for the food not the wine, over priced and a bit up itself for what it actually delivered.
Tasty food, nice wine and very efficient friendly service
