Our weekend brunches (Saturday & Sunday daytime) are legendary, with props in The Guardian, Time Out and Harpers Bazaar to name just a few!
We have a bar space downstairs where we serve cocktails, natural wines, beers and snacks.
Upstairs in our Dining Room we offer a 4-course Set Menu and a 7-course Extended Menu, please specify on your booking if you would like the Extended Menu.
The food was bland and not appetising at all. The sea water with potatoes was revolting. The pea amuse Bouche was tasteless.
Love this place - the food and wine are outstanding and the staff are so lovely. The price is so reasonable too..thanks!!!! x
Delicious food. Friendly staff. Can’t wait to go again. Would recommend.
I saw Salon recommended in the Desmond & Dempsey paper and thought we’d give it a try. The food was great, we sat outside with a heater to keep us warm. The staff were friendly and the service was efficient. I had booked a table online, but found we could only have the set menu upstairs, but fortunately they had a table for us outside so all worked out ok. If you want the bar menu, suggest you check when booking a table!
Creative + delicious. Thank you. Banana bread and coffee particularly excellent.
Tucked away in part of Brixton's fun and quirky market space is where this bijou of a dining establishment resides. It's a place where you can relax enjoy great dishes created with love and attention to taste. A great wine list with a fine variety. The staff are excellent and very thoughtful too!
Brilliant food and great service.
Wonderful in all respects. Food, staff, venue, value for money....excellent, thank you
Food was great! As well as the service. Would 100% come back.
Really wonderful food, very tasty. Particularly liked the lemon curd in the desert. Portion sizes felt a little mean for the price though and even the wine by the glass was under poured. Don't think the dining room has a lot of atmosphere and overall whilst the food was delicious, I've had better value for money elsewhere.
The experience was outstanding from start to finish. The mussel soup, lamb entree, and dessert were cooked to perfection and innovative.
We loved the ambiance and the open kitchen element. Amazing and friendly service as well.
Wonderful service, knowledgable staff, great food, overall a great meal.
Food and the passion behind it was top notch but they’d run out of a lot of wine and when we did get a bottle it wasn’t cold. Minor blemishes overall on what was a very good evening. I’d definitely go back.
Great food great service great value would recommend to family and friends
Lovely place, food is delicious - great set menu and selection of drinks.
The only downside I could think of is that our dishes came too quickly one after the other. With a 5 course menu we left in less than 1.5 hour which felt a bit fast. Other than that it is truly great place, ambiance, music is brilliant.
Really good but service a bit too slow but really enjoyed meal
A wonderful evening. Delicious, clever food and brilliant service. We were 20 mins late and without phone signal but the team had saved us a table and did everything they could to show us a lovely time. Was gutted when the meal ended because we'd had such a lovely experience. Thanks to the team for a brilliant meal and an outstanding evening.
2nd visit here - loved it again! Wasn't set menu this time as we went for Sunday lunch but everything we ordered was yummy - the shakshuka especially good
Lovely food, as always! Staff were delightful and accommodating as usual. I do wish they would update the menu more frequently, but the food is always great regardless.
We went for Sunday brunch. The food was excellent - but it was surpassed by the quality of the service. Really friendly people.
Good food, good people: what more do you need on a Sunday?
We had such a great night. The concept of a set menu works really well. The food was amazing. Really interesting food combinations. Wines good. Service was great. Really enjoyed how passionate staff are when they talk you through each dish.
I had seen Salon advertised in the past but Brixton being quite a way form where we live, I'd always passed it up. What an error.
Very helpful friendly staff throughout the booking process, this continued throughout the entire evening accommodating breaks between courses as required, offering specific wine suggestions when asked and being thorough but not intrusive.
The food itself was excellent. Very finely balanced flavours designed to compliment each other perfectly. I did have one dish that had an ingredient that only worked alongside all of the other elements of the dish at once which was a bit limiting but shows how specifically everything is designed.
Only very minor complaint is that the tables are a bit cramped together but we were lucky enough to have the table next to us empty all evening so we could spread out a bit. It might have been a bit over-friendly otherwise.
Definitely worth experiencing and if you do - the extended menu is the one to go for. Enjoy :)
Really great restaurant!! Food, ambiance, service and value very much excelled
First time going for more lunch food than breakfast. Have always loved everything we’ve eaten (many time for breakfast and a couple of times for dinner) This is the first time I was a little disappointed. I chose the crispy pork however it didn’t really consist of much.
Dessert was excellent best banana bread in london and they have brown butter ice cream that was next level amazing!!
Food was absolutely lovely - it has to be said, that was the highlight. Portions just right, exquisite sauces. The staff were very helpful, informative and sensitive. Our main course was very delayed; but without being asked they acknowledged this, and deducted something from the bill. We had a lovely evening; you could hear yourself think and others speak. A very good experience all round.
We had a lovely diner and the food was delicious. The only thing was the time between each course. Within 1 hour we were done eating and finist. The kitchen wanted to close and clean you could see that from the table. But the food was perfect but to expensive to eat in one hour.
As always, the food was delicious and the service was lovely! The dishes are all well crafted and interesting and the staff are incredibly accommodating.
Some innovative combinations, mostly well executed.
Did the set menu with matching wines; great fun!
Food was again outstanding, and prepared to perfection.
They have a young team of dedicated and lovely waiters there who make you feel at home. These guys know their stuff. Wine selection is also outstanding & fairly priced. I often go to their wine bar & have to go back to the restaurant more often!
Really tasty food in a cool setting. Perhaps a bit noisy for romantic date night, but overall we had a great time. Not the cheapest place, but a lovely treat!
Great Friday night for a catch up with wonderful food and amazing wine pairing!
I think it's just great I can still go before it get's it Michelin star, about 10 visits now.
Great food and service
Had another really lovely meal with you all. We left sufficiently stuffed and drunk after a superb tasting menu that brought veggies to the forefront in really innovative ways. Thanks again and see you soon!
I love this restaurant! So cosy, so delicious, always a great treat!
A little gem in Brixton market. The food was outstanding
Delightful, inventive cooking in a compact little room, served by passionate FOH staff. A cracking neighbourhood restaurant
My favourite brunch place in London. Definitely needs a second restaurant. The hash browns and sourdough toast with sweet potato hummus are to die for.
We all loved our visit to Salon. Salon's menu was fantastic, the atmosphere was perfect and we adored the paired wines. Would definitely recommend!
The food, service and atmosphere were great, the only downside is that for their Saturday brunch / lunch you only get a table for one hour. This might make sense if you are ordering one brunch dish each but we ordered lunch items with snacks and desserts and I think they should allow longer for this.
