I went to see how the rebrand from Ormer worked , had it changed was it different . The answer was not in a material way . Excellent starter , good wine , main just average . Very quiet for a Friday night .
I left feelin what's really changed , the answer very little. I was always under impressed by Ormer and I left with pretty much the same feeling. A feeling of missed opportunity

Wonderful and creative dishes, smallish portions which I like, beautifully presented, friendly smiling but deferential staff.

très bon restaurant , des plats harmonieux , beaucoup de saveurs, tout en gardant une belle légèreté . Le service est chaleureux mais reste discret, l'ambiance fort cosy. Un superbe choix de vins en bouteille ou au verre. Un must.

Wonderful evening to celebrate my husbands birthday but so disappointed that there was no candle or happy birthday message on the plate. I asked twice and it was forgotten.

Absolutely amazing food. We were celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary and had a wonderful and relaxed evening. The staff were attentive and we were able to take our time over our meal. The food was exquisite - every mouthful was a culinary experience.

Very impressed with the vegetarian menu and the food in general. The wine flight was fantastic and the sommelier very knowledgeable and keen to ensure we enjoyed everything. A fantastic special evening. I would recommend. The cocktails served in the bar are also stunning

Had a breakfast here to celebrate my birthday and it was fab. The staff couldn't have been nicer/more welcoming and they gave me a birthday message and delicious petit fours as it was my birthday - loved it and the food was amazing

We were looking for a nice lunch in easy surroundings in a place with a great name. Everything was delivered with finesse and elegance. I would most definitely do it again.

Food delicious. Very good service, until all the other tables around us left and we were a little abandoned at our table. No one asked us to pay our bill we had to walk over to the bar near the exit in order to do this and ask for our jackets. Was late in afternoon by this point between service but there was another table in as well, so not good enough to have so few staff around to meet guests needs. Also no chocolate or biscuit with tea and coffee which is a poor show for a restaurant of this standard. Will return as food lovely, would expect better service though and more attention to detail.

We have been to Ormer a few times in the past and always found the food to be excellent and as a result have been comfortable with paying the high prices that Ormer charges. This time, however, the food standard was well below what we had experienced before. I ordered Beef as a main and it was tough and tasteless. My wife ordered the Pork Belly which used to have a crispy top later which time was rubbery.

The service was excellent but the quality of food has most definitely deteriorated.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our evening at Ormer. We opted for the tasting menu which we accompanied with the wine flight. The tasting menu was excellent, with the crab being the outstanding dish. The wines were brilliantly matched with the 2016 Sonberk Palava being the star of the evening.

Despite a bad start( no record of booking despite a booking reminder being sent half an hour before) the food is the star here, creative, flavoursome and well presented. Service became more personal as the meal progressed and we had an enjoyable visit.

Ormer, even without Shaun Rankin, continues to produce excellent food with interesting combinations. It is a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are attentive and friendly. The petits fours served with coffee are the bext I have ever encountered - they are a good dessert substitute!

We booked a table to celebrate our anniversary on our trip to St. Helier. We got drinks at the bar and waited to be seated at our table. We were given a very nice corner seat and had very attentive service throughout. While our starter and entree were delicious, it was the desserts that really impressed us. Hands-down the best desserts we have had in a long time. Overall, we had an enjoyable meal.

Ormer is always good, although this wasn't quite up to its normal high standards. The starters (cured salmon, and especially scallop with chicken wings) were excellent, but the main (turkey) was slightly turgid - the browns and greys only minimally livened up by two minuscule pieces of broccoli (which nonetheless tasted great). Desert was disappointing - I found the lemon soufflé inedible, although it was cooked well, so a question of taste rather than quality. Another disappointing aspect was the lack of attention - after ordering drinks right at the start of the meal, we weren't asked again at all; and apart from when our food was served, we had to work quite hard to get anyone's attention.

We had a very delicious meal with some mouth-watering dishes. I had crab with peanuts and then delicious lobster and my colleague had scallops followed by beef and said both were wonderful. It's not cheap but not expensive either (though the wine list is fairly expensive). Service was excellent and if there was any criticism it would be that the atmosphere was a bit weak - there were only 4 other diners that I could see though to be fair it was a Tuesday a couple of weeks before Christmas. If you're in Jersey I'd definitely recommend it though I understand big changes are on the way and am not sure what these are nor when they will happen. Perhaps soon will be your last chance to give it a try - I would do if you could.

Food was interesting and well done, I don't think I would bother with the Corovin wine by the glass again though. The Puligny Montrachet served that way was definitely below its best and although the Rioja flavour was less impaired it came complete with all the lees! we were offered a complimentary glass though and we enjoyed the meal.

Very surprised at it being almost empty, I guess the price tag puts one off, but they are more than worth their Michelin star. Very innovative cuisine, their amuse bouche is spectacular! Keep it up guys!
