I'm so glad my husband & I got to go there and celebrate our anniversary. We had a wonderful experience. The staff and service was amazing, the food was very good, and the view was beautiful. We received an Anniversary card at the end of our meal. It was such a nice surprise and very unexpected. We will definitely be back and would recommend this restaurant to anyone! Thank you so much! 🥰❤️❤️
Awesome food service and view. Highly recommend to
This was our first time dining at Samuel Slater’s and we had an awesome experience! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in assisting with our appetizer, meal, wine and dessert selections. This a must on people’s list of dining experience’s!
Everything was Awesome great time, will go again soon!!!!
What an awesome restaurant for our area! Food was phenomenal, servers Top-notch ( thank you Sam). We will definitely be back. Looking to many more nights out @ Samuel Slaters! We need more time to learn the history.
This was our first visit to this restaurant since a very poor experience over seven months ago. This experience was very good. The food was served timely with an attractive presentation and was very tasty. Our server was excellent. My past concern about this restaurant has been that the kitchen production doesn't seem sufficient for the seating capacity. During this visit, the restaurant was about half empty. Everything came out timely and was great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend, but I would advise them to make their first visit during a non-peak time in order to ensure a good first experience.
This place is our new favorite! You have to check it out , you won’t be disappointed.
Food was excellent and the restaurant was crowded but very quiet. Very nice setting for a dinner without kids.
5th time dining here, exceptional every time! Food and atmosphere are wonderful and servers are very friendly and efficient....would recommend this establishment to friends & family without hesitation!
Worth the drive from Worcester
Cant wait to go in spring and eat with a lake view !
It wasn't as crowded as I expected on a Friday. Maybe it's a Saturday night place or more of a summer place? The service was ok. Our waitress was pleasant and friendly. My only complaint and no deal breaker really was that there seemed to be a sense of being hurried even though the place was 1/2 empty. We were with friends we wanted to talk to and weren't in a rush to look at a menu and order quickly. The waitress came back several times and then was just hovering while we were deciding. The food came out when we were still eating salads and appetizers. It's probably harder to time things when the kitchen isn't busy? The food was very good. The Caesar salad dressing was a hit. The figs, goat cheese, bacon app was wonderful. The bolognese was great. We had desserts(excellent!), cappuccino and maybe 6 cocktails total and the bill was about $140 per couple with tip. So overall a very positive experience and I definitely would go back.
Surf n turf and the chicken were amazing for Valentine’s Day! I’ve never had a complaint about the food here. Cocktails are delicious as well.
8.00pm reservation. Ushered in and seated immediately, positive. Ordered drinks, positive. Valentine's day menu was limited thus limiting choices, negative. Settled for a meal that never had before. Barely ate, negative. Limited choices of desserts, negative. Server apologized for the inconvenience, positive.
Valentines dinner. It was great and we can’t wait to go back in the warm weather and overlook the lake!
It was wonderful the meal and the drinks
I will be back again! Highly recommend
Very pricey for above average food. $39 for surf and turf; steak was very overcooked, not to order. Unacceptable for a $39 meal.
Very loud. Service very disjointed. 15 minutes before server came to table. 30 minutes to get drinks and the only reason we got them was the server came to take our food order and we still didn’t have our drinks. Over an hour for food and then the medium rare rib eye came out rare with a label indications it was rare. It took so long to get the rare steak, was not going to send it back so that it would be cooked how it was ordered. I understand a nicer restaurant taking time for service but the slow service was not to add to the experience, it appeared it was because the wait staff doesn’t understand what good service in a nice restaurant is supposed to be. This seems to be a training issue. I would not go back here for dinner.
Had a great time, we took my parents for the first time and they enjoyed the atmosphere and ambiance. The food was great, the risotto's and pasta is always delicious however the shrimp in one dish was over done. Though the waitress was knowledgeable the service from the bar was slow getting drinks out (it was before the rush came in.) Over all, my husband and I will definitely go back but I'm not sure about my parents.
The service was very slow !!! Food was excellent but we were late for the venue downstairs because they were overwhelmed we had to ask where our food was
Once we were served we had to rush to eat
It didn’t come till after 730 even though we arrived at 6:00 show was at 8:00 then we couldn’t find a place to sit
Food is very good, however due to the comedy show the place was loud.
We just love it here. Food is always prepared perfect and absolutely delicious.
The olive oil, balsamic and roasted garlic that was placed promptly after seating with bread was a great way to start our meal. We both had the French Onion soup to start which we both really enjoyed. My date got the scallops and risotto which he liked and I got the Cajun Alfredo Chicken special which came with garlic bread. The pasta was too mushy for my liking but the flavor was there so it wasn’t horrible. All in all a decent meal for a good price.
What incredible food served in a lovely restaurant. The steak and cheese poutine was to die for!
Thanks for the five stars! We hope you will visit again soon.
Went for New Year’s Eve dinner. Service was great. My wife loved her Scallop meal. Mine was okay after getting it back for the second time. Ordered NY Strip med well. Came out rare. Sent back. Came out second time still not done MW but kept it as my wife was finishing up her meal already. Manger graciously took meal off the bill and offered free desert to my wife and I. This was our second time here. The First was outstanding. We were there in the early fall, had a window table with a spectacular view of the lake and foliage. We will return again.
My wife and I had dinner at the restaurant New Years Eve, the staff is very friendly , extremely courteous, and a pleasure to deal with. The food arrived timely and hot! Our steaks were cooked exactly as we asked, they were incredible. Tender, tasty , flavored to perfection! Oh, the deserts are too good, its hard to leave. This is our third time dining here and still no complaints. The view of the lake is a bonus!!! My son and his fiancee like the place so much they are having their reception there. I know we will be coming back soon.
We have been there before..we liked it so much, we brought our friends on Saturday night...we were not rushed..we took our time...nice conversation...food came..everyone loved their meal. Drinks were great...and when the bill came, our friends were amazed. Cheaper than going in to Boston...nicer view.
I love it when friends enjoy someplace we recommend.
Overall great evening.
Thanks for the five stars. We are glad you enjoyed your meal and hope you will come back soon.
We had a wonderful experience-we will be back!!! The food was so delicious, there were three different entrees ordered between the four of us, and each of us raved about our meals! and the tuna tacos are definitely a hit!!!
Thank you for your review. We are so glad you enjoyed your meal and we hope you will come back soon.
After our first time there, we know we'll return again and again.
Thank you for the review. We hope to see you again!
The cocktails were well prepared with top-shelf liquor. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare with a tasty red wine reduction. The amaretto scallops over risotto also were delicious while the baked haddock was okay, but nothing special. The server was very friendly and attentive.
Nice season menu. Appetizers awesome!wait staff accommodating, we were able to get separate checks. Very convienient.
Thank you for the five star review. We are glad you enjoyed yourself and hope you will come back soon.
Walked in and was greeted immediately. Everyone but our actual server was attentive. She disappeared a lot. She actually told us to put our menus on floor so we could eat our appetizers, seemed strange. Forgot refills, and wasnt sure about desserts. Besides her, the food was AMAZING! My ribeye was cooked perfect, my parents scallops were so tasty. Salad was great, brussel sprouts were awesome. Can not complain about anything. Great value for quality of food.
Service was prompt and courteous....Asparagus risotto and scallops were superb. This was our second time here and we will definitely return.
Great food and service. We did notice the noise level was high owing to the fact that it was a full house. It is a beautifully designed room and we will most likely be back in the summer months to sit outside and enjoy the lake view.
Food was not great and service wasn’t great either
Love this restaurant, food and service excellent. My only complaint is the noise level. Very difficult to hear each other.
Quality of food feel short. Gnocchi was salty. Steak tips were under cooked Med rare was ordered and one very rare. Seemed like they were cooked 10 minutes before they were served.
The menu and the food were good, not great. my guest ordered blackened tuna, it was definitely not blackened. The wine was very good. The wait staff was way too young. Very obviously inexperienced. I'm pretty sure our waitress was not old enough to drink. We were a couple out for a semi-romantic dinner, although there were very few people the hostess tried to sit us next to a table of 10 people who had 2 children and a baby, 1 of the kids was running around their table.. When i asked if we could sit further from them she said she would check and left us standing there and gave us a look like we were inconveniencing her, again she was very young.
My friend and I dined here on Nov. 1st and both ordered the bourbon steak tips which arrived overdone and chewy. Something needs to be done about the noise level. I would revisit for a drink at the bar but not for a meal. Portions were decent, good salad and courteous waitstaff.
