San Pietro Ristorante Italiano

San Pietro is really a fantastic Typical Restaurant. The food is outstanding and the service is fantastic. It is really like being in Italy from all aspects.

Staff opened its doors to us for an early pasta lunch. Excellent ambiance and authentic Italian cuisine. Cozy location and neighborly atmosphere.

San Pietro remains one of the best Italian restaurants in London ..... fish is exceptional (the Crudo selections are top notch), pasta perfectly cooked (though slightly low on salt) and very friendly staff and owners ..... major kudos to the management for doing something that is not so much common practice here in London .... one of our dishes was misplaced and had to be reordered with a long delay and it was offered to us at no cost ...... small things that make a difference

The restaurant is good. But i do not know the pizza menu is avaialble only weekends.

1. I booked two weeks in advance. Was informed upon arrival that we had to vacate the table within two hours. This is unacceptable.
2. Our guests and ourselves were harassed towards the end of the meal to vacate our table within ten minutes.
3. In addition, despite booking early we were seated right next to serving area with one underssized bunk to seat two people.
4. Three of us had fish as a main course. All servings were overcooked - mortal sin for fish.
5. The manager on duty had a breath from hell - reeking of stale tobacco.
6. We have dined here frequently and only ever had excellent food and service. This occasion was a disgrace. New manager?

Very welcoming Italian eatery that offers good value for money. But it is not for non seafood diners as most of the recommended dishes are fish related. Excellent vegetable dishes include cauliflower and white asparagus, peas and other greens. Dessert selection looked tempting although we ddin’t try all.

Service and food was excellent, as always! We have a preference to a certain table and they were very accommodating. It was a busy evening and there was a small mistake on the order but were immediately tended to. The pasta with Cornish crab was amazing. We return regularly, because it’s always great.

Really nice food and great service. Most dining is upstairs in a cosy atmosphere without the noise and smell from the kitchen. Food it's nicely cooked with great flavor. Servers very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend it.

Good food, friendly service, great ambience. Prices a little on the high side but if you can accept this then it is a great little eatery for the area.

Me and my wife thoroughly enjoyed the food, chef and the staff were all brilliant and made us very welcomed on our anniversary ! Brought out a lot of additional dishes and desserts which we loved !

Small out of the way restaurant - fabulous food with authentic Italian flair

We had a wonderful lunch. Everything fresh and perfectly cooked. A real Italian pleasure.

Food here is brilliant, staff very friendly and a good wine list. In the mid range for price but also nice location.

We discovered San Pietro by accident. We were hungry , it was just around the corner from our AirBnB. We received a warm and friendly reception (always a good start). The premises is nice and we were expecting a "nice but unremarkable " meal.
What we got was so much better.
We each (Three of us) had different starters , we all disagreed as to which was better , but all thought that the quality of ingredients and cooking was excellent.

Then came the Main Courses. Even now I am salivating thinking of them. We enjoyed them so much.


The next time that I am in London I will stay near San Pietro , just so that I can eat there.

Excellent local Italian restaurant that provides simply good cooking in a lovely atmosphere. We found this via the Good Food Guide and it definitely deserves it's entry! The food was delicious with a wide range of choices, the wine list reasonably priced and the service attentive but not intrusive. The ambience and decor was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We will certainly be back when we are next in South Kensington.

One of my favourite restaurants. The menu has changed a bit which was exciting and the food was amazing- really impressed. The raw fish starter was delicious and the grilled tuna had a lovely Smokey flavour. Everyone at my table thoroughly enjoyed their food too. Definitely recommend. Thanks so much!

We have dined at San Pietro previously and loved it, so booked again online. When we arrived at 7pm we were disappointed with our table - in a corner, right by the door and beneath very cold air conditioning, and very close to another occupied table. There were plenty of unoccupied tables. When we asked to be moved we were told all tables were booked. Most tables remained empty all evening right up to us leaving at 9.30pm!!

Surprisingly good. Having lived in Italy for quite a few years, the pasta was excellent and so was the fish. we will be coming back!

Food was excellent and authentic, though fish for a couple of us was a little overdone. Great wine list, with some top notch (and inexpensive) options, patience with our brood of children.

First time but won't be my last...... Fabulous restaurant and in my hood so even better! Only complaint was the couple across from me should have got a room! PDA is not appealing any where but while you are eating, even less so! They were both actually groping each other and at one point, I thought he was going to start removing clothes.........

The best, most welcoming, high standard, Italian family restaurant for a superb selection of fresh fish, yet to try other dishes, they looked amazing too!

Not enough waitstaff. We arrived at 8.45pm but were not able to order for nearly an hour. Table next to us got very impatient when food arrived on sideboard but was not served - left to cool while waitstaff attended to another table, where there were equally impatient guests. We were offered free drinks while we waited but we would rather have eaten! Fish when it arrived was overcooked - perhaps the cooks were overstretched as well. Rest of food good. Nice ambience. Waitstaff, despite the pressures, did their best. This place has potential, but they need more people.

The staff was so lovely to us from the moment we arrived a little early for our reservation. The food was delicious. The restaurant is beautiful. It was a perfectly romantic spot, seated by the upstairs window, that we toasted 26 years of marriage. I’d recommend this little gem.

Delightful restaurant, tucked away in a quiet street of Kensington. First Class cuisine, bright, clean comfortable ambiance, with jolly good service. Innovative daily offerings on the menu. Best risotto I've ever tasted. My third visit to this restaurant, and I will keep going back.

We found this Italian restaurant delicious! We had fresh fish which was amazing! The plus/ the limoncello after the dessert, offered from the tenant as always is in Italy.

The food is good and the fish is really excellent. Unfortunately the service not always very slow.

Pretty disorganised and late in delivery of the food. Octopus too salty. Waited for 30 mins for the wine

Obviously, the seafood is the main attraction here. The scallops with butternut squash mousse were delightful, as was the linguine with mixed seafood. The mains were also very tasty, and portion sizes are good.

Just off the main Windermere Road,so very convenient if staying locally.We did book in advance,though it was quiet when we arrived and despite telling the staff we had booked,were shown to a table ( The restaurant said later we were a no show!1) - however our pizzas were delicious,and we would go there again.The staff seemed keen to close ( Sunday) so I guess they rushed us in and didn’t bother checking our reservation.Another couple were hurried in -so memo to restaurant,check your reservations and if you say you open till 9-30pm,expect customers up till that time and treat courteously......
