Great Atmosphere And The Food Was GREAT...Great Service And Very Fast...We Definitely Enjoyed Ourselves
Food was pretty good. Coconut Sangria was really yummy. Music playing, pretty nice ambience.
A wonderful time as usual. Food, drinks, service, etc. was amazing,
The waitress was great got everything right food was ok the bacon needed to be cooked longer
They accommodated my party even though I can't with more people than on the reservation. The staff was great. Thank you
My Birthday brunch
Great addition to the re-vamped Co-op area!!! A must visit.
Great Place. I will be returning with more people. Food was good, drinks great, and loved the music.
Everything was really good, except for the music was a little to loud.
Nana was great service . My brother bday was a great time
Good music and good location with no cover charge.
The food is very good and nicely seasoned. Our server was also very nice and attentive. My only complaint is the mojitos. I had a coconut one that was good, but before that I tried a regular mojito and it was absolutely not. It was bitter and definitely did not have enough simple syrup. Their bartender needs better training.
Great music and amazing drinks, def a go to spot for a good time
It was an ok spot. Da music was good. I like the seating outside
Went on a Friday evening didn't know it was going to be as lively (DJ, hookah etc) but I didn't mind the food was good and the server was very attentive.
Food was good. The music was good. The service was good. The drinks were good. I would definitely come back.
It was my husband and I 10th Anniversary. It was romantic it was also karaoke night so I had lots of fun. The DJ gave us a shoutout wishing us a very happy anniversary and one of the guests sung Luther vandross now and forever. It brought us to tears. My first time experience was completely amazing.
Amazing food. I am Puerto Rican and usually don't like Latin restaurant food. We ordered Paella (lobster), pork chops, lechon, pulpo, and tostones for the main course. Extremely satisfied, except the pulpo, although tasty, is hot and prepared like a guisado (stewed). I prefer COLD pulpo prepared like a ceviche. Our appetizers were beyond good. Cuban spring rolls (who came up with this?) and empanadas...we fought over them just a little. We WILL be back! My Toro drink was yummy and perfectly balanced.
Great service great food
Sangria is conveniently located in Co-op City. The restaurant is cute, a great bar area and lots of TV's. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great food and drink suggestions. We were there on a Saturday night so there was a dj who played a good mix of music. The only drawback was that the dj was so loud that we could not hear each other at the table. Overall we has a really good time.
Nice place good food the sangria could be a little stronger
Food was okay. The croquetas were terrible. The hostess Olga was a dream, but the rest of the service was lacking.
It was awesome . I enjoyed the appetizers more than the meal but we had a great time. I will return again.
The Mofongo with Shrimps and the empanadas were delish!!! The Pina Colada nice and cold and strong! Did not skimp on the liquor!
Great food! Great music! .. we did bring a cake and it was a ice cream cake that wasn’t placed in the freezer so it melted. But they made up for it . It was a mistake
Thinking about having my birthday there next month.
I have already been 2 times in 1 month, the serving sizes are really generous, the food is well made, the waiters are very nice, the sangrias are nice and strong and the physical space is beautifully made. The bathrooms are tiny but everything else more than makes up for that. I've already recommended this place to multiple friends
The food was outstanding. I had the seafood Paella it was perfect. The drinks was delicious
Hennessy Sangria delicious. Friday Night DJ was on point. I would definitely go back. Birthday celebration was perfect.
1st visit with friends from out of town on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant appeared to be clean and inviting. Staff was friendly and attentive. Everything from the sangria to the appetizers to the entrees were very good.
My friends both ordered oxtails which they both raved about being tender and delicious. I had chicken mofongo with a side of of yuca fries. The mofongo was so moist, so delicious (I've had some dry mofongo at other restaurants that I had to keep pouring gravy on & ask for extra gravy).
The portions were substantial enough that we all took some home. Prices were reasonable.
Try Sangria Cafe; I think you'll enjoy it.
Went out for a couples outing, they need to change that rule where happy hour drinks are only served when people are actually sitting at the bar, we had reserved seating which that happy hour rule took away from the outing.
I highly recommend Sangria Cafe, the food, drinks and most of all the service was amazing. I truly had an amazing time
Me and 85 year old father do not drink, there was no diet sodas available and the waitress kept bringing us warm water or forget at all. It started wrong, I told the waitress no brunch full menu and that took 10 - 15 minutes to get the menus. Then the water issue. she never checked on us, unless I raised my hand and got her attention. Then at the end, the bill gives her an automatic 20% tip. I ask her why is it automatic, she sucks her teeth and tells me that is the rules. I pay promising never to return.
My guest and I wanted to really enjoy this place. It was loud for the music and the people that were there for a Saturday evening at 5:30pm. My churrasco was flavorless and so was the rice & peas. The only thing on point were the empanadas. Even my Sangria was underwhelming and I was so looking forward to this meal. I won’t be making another visit and the sad thing is that I was warned ahead of time not to bother. It’s a shame because we live in the neighborhood and it would so convenient to have a spot that we could come to just to chillax. Too much money spent for a “Meh” dining experience.
Always have a great time when I come here brunch is great
Food was so good and service excellent
The drinks and food was nasty! I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
Service was awful. Took entirely too long for food and drinks to come out and when it did, it wasn’t correct. The restaurant wasn’t even half full so there was no reason for the delay. Never again.
The food was good, the staff were friendly. There was a 20 percent gratuity automatically added..for a party of 3??? I've gone to classier restaurants and it's usually added for parties of 5/6 or more. I paid an extra $30 for the waiter who only took my order. Will not return
The food was cold and for a brunch spot to not have oj for mimosas is ridiculous. Waitress was great though
I entertained some out-of-town guest who really enjoyed the Sangrias , definitely would come back
